Beaufort area House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

The best beachfront value on the East Coast! This Pelican Point Villa is perfect for a quiet get-away or a family gathering on the beach. The four-bedroom, three-bath, 2000 sf house sleeps ten in two King beds, one Queen bed, two Twin beds, and a pull-out Queen sofa bed. Fully appointed kitchen, washer and dryer, parking underneath house, fireplace, and outdoor shower. The gourmet kitchen was completely renovated in 2008 and comes equipped with everything you'll need. All bathrooms have been recently renovated.

This home comes complete with high chair and pack-n-play, beach chairs, toys, all linens, three TVs with VCRs, a stereo, and free wireless internet. Each rental includes one vehicle pass and full use of the Beach and Racquet Club (an Olympic-size pool, kiddie pool, fitness center, tennis courts, playground, sand volleyball, and basketball).

Pelican Point is just one row wide, so the screened porch faces the ocean for gorgeous sunrises and the open porch faces the marsh for colorful sunsets. Just outside the front door is a boardwalk that leads to a private, uncrowded beach stretching for two and a half miles. Harbor Island is next door to Hunting Island State Park and within a short drive of historic Beaufort and Parris Island. Charleston and Savannah are close enough for day trips.

About Fran Nolan

I live on the island about 3/4 mile from the property and am able to deal immediately with any problems. I know the area well, having owned here since 1998, and can offer suggestions.

Relax and Reconnect

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at Pelican Point and came away rested, relaxed, and in love with the place! Fran really has thought of everything: we had five adults, as well as a pre-schooler and a 10-month old with us. We found the unit equipped with a high chair, pack-and-play, and even baby spoons! Older kids and grown-ups are not left out, though -- there is a lovely selection of nature books and guides for kids and grown-ups, so they can identify and learn about all the natural wonders they find on Harbor Island. There are also novels and magazines available, and games like Scrabble and Monopoly. The kitchen is well equipped and stocked; the towels are generously sized and fluffy, and the beds are so, so comfortable. There is plenty of space to sit and visit, and plenty of outside equipment for the beach, including several wagons for transporting beach chairs and babies. Everything was clean and in great condition -- our family feels as if we've found a perfect place to relax and reconnect!!

A Hidden Gem

  • 5 of 5

Never having heard of Harbor Island before I rented this place for 3 months, I arrived with fingers crossed. Absolutely NO cause for any trepidation, it was love at first sight! Fran sure knows how to welcome her guests. Doggie goodie bags for my two labs, breakfast food in the fridge and a helping hand to unpack upon arrival. 25A was a dream come true - immaculately equipped kitchen, comfortable and clean furnishings, a "dog" closet filled with bowls, toys and even raised feeding dishes, etc., etc. Literally anything you could think of needing Fran has already thought of. Oh, and the views? To Die For! It's a short boardwalk to an amazing beach where my two dogs and I spent hours and hours exploring and taking in the natural extravaganza surrounding us. Dolphins played in the waves as we strolled, ghost crabs schuddled along into their hide--a-way holes, while pelicans magically hovered over the waves. The sunrises made me breathless. If you're looking for a place to relax and soak in some of the most spectacular scenery in the Lowcountry this is your spot. House + Beach = PERFECTION!

Wonderful beach rental

  • 5 of 5

As others have said Fran thought of everything. All you need to bring is your bathing suit and food to put in your mouth. Household, beach and kitchen supplies are all provided. There were 6 of us, 5 adults and 1 child and of course the dog. We all had plenty of room.

The house had the feeling of being someone's home rather then a sterile or over-the-hill rental. Most pet friendly rentals have tell tale signs of dog. This unit smelled fresh and clean. No dog odors. Furniture and rug were clean. No excess dog hair.

We were there as Hurricane Rita was winding down. Instead of being a mowed lawn, the area behind the house was a pond and many wading birds came to feed (egrets, ibis) and we were able to watch them from the sun deck. There were lots of birds on other parts of the island, especially at Pelican Point, a wonderful beach walk from the house.

We would definitely return.

Plenty of space and well-equipped

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at Pelican Point. As noted by other reviewers, Fran has thought of so many great details and personal touches and has created a very attractive but relaxing vacation home. We had plenty of space and all enjoyed ourselves immensely. We also love the setting of this unit on the island. It is great to be between the marsh and the beach, and this is a quiet area with lots of beautiful birds. The beach is enjoyable at high tide, low tide or any time in between. An extra special treat was getting to see the baby turtles. If you get a chance to chat with Fran about this or witness the volunteers in action, do not miss out! Overall, this was a wonderful place for our family vacation and we would love to return!

multi family vacation

HOME AWAY FROM HOME!! This is a great spacious condo for 9 people with children. This is the second time staying there on Harbor Island. The kitchen is stocked with pans, pots, appliances, and spices (yes we cook and we would love to have this kitchen at our house!). The rooms are spacious and clean. The walls are decorated with art work which we all enjoy. The porch and screened-in deck is nice to sit and relax with a book and a glass of wine. The condo sits right next to Public Access #1 to the beach and she has plenty of beach chairs, pails, toys, available for use. Hunting Island State Park is minutes away and Beaufort is just a 30 minute drive away. We bring our two miniature Dachshunds with us which Fran spoils them with doggie ice cream. I know I missed some things, but this truly is a great place to rent for your beach vacation.
