Nice apartment, great view
We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights. Very good location. Large apartment, very nice terrace. The beds are a bit on the soft side and new pillows would be nice. As this is a beach rental, beach towels and a beach umbrella would have made for a perfect holiday. Sesimbra is a lovely town, very large beach which was groomed every day. Hardly any seaweed! Natacha was great to deal with and her restaurant recommendations were terrific. Would definitely recommend this apartment.
Beautiful apartment, spacious, modern kitchen, very close to beach abd restaurants. Lovely seaside town. The host left us wine and pastry and was very gracious and kind. Easy check in and check out.
A lovely stay!!
When we arrived we were flabbergasted...what a beautiful, clean, well equiped apartment!
We were welcomed by Ana, she handed the key to us and showed us around. We felt really at home immediately and were amazed by the view from the balcony. Blue sea and a lovely beach.
Everything you need was there. Comfortable beds, nice showers and clean sheets/towels.
The restaurants are nice, good food, friendly people. We hired a car and went to Setubal and Lisbon. One week was not enough....Definately recommend this place!
O, and almost forgot to thank Natacha, the owner. Great service!
We stayed at apartment Natacha for 26 days starting from mid July 2010. Apartment suited very well for 3 teenagers + 2 adults. Kitchen/living room was excellent for 5 peoples - not to talk about a large terrace. Apartment was very well equipped, there was everything you can imagine for cooking/relaxing. If you need a quiet place for sleeping, this is perhaps not for you, because of the central location in the centre of the city (There were a lot of evening activities during the last two weeks of July - exhibitions, concerts, carnevals, ...).
You do not need a car to travel in Sesimbra or to the other beaches, public transport (bus lines) goes to Lagoa de Albufeira (this place is a
must to visit!!) and Meco beaches, although you need to prepare to have some walk from bus stop to beach. I highly recommend to have a hike/trekking from Sesimbra to Cabo Espichel. There are magnificient views of the coastline and beautiful lagoon (http://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=108730). You can take a bus back to Sesimbra.
Overall, we were very pleased on the apartment and rental arrangements. Landlady was very helpful and polite.
Highly recommendable !
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Sesimbra. The best thing about this apartment is the balcony with a sea view. The beach is only a couple of minutes walk away. The apartment was very clean, in good condition and had everything we needed and more! The kitchen is very large and extremely well-equipped. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The apartment is located in the centre of Sesimbra - you can walk there from the bus station. There was also supermarkets and grocery stores within walking distance. Overall I would highly recommend this apartment.
Sesimbra already received its town charter in 1323. Back then it was still located further inland and the abundance of fish on the nearby coast turned the village quickly into a port town.
How important fish is until today becomes obvious latest while strolling through the town: in all restaurants the freshly caught fish of the day is extolled, in the market hall people already look for their dinner early in the morning, just to disappear again in the narrow alleys of the historic centre and into their houses.
Overall, Sesimbra is perfect for everyone who does not like to determine their type of holiday already ahead. Here you can spend your entire vacations on the terrace and at the beach. Just around the corner of Casa Eugenia you find everything you need to survive with relish. But you also have the possibility to go on day trips, from cultural to ecological tourism. It's probably the most fun to enjoy a little bit of everything.
