Comfortable Apartment in Good Location

We stayed in this apartment for a week. The apartment was comfortably furnished and very good value for the price. The kitchen contained everything needed to self catering as well as a binder with extensive information about activities in the area. There are 2 supermarkets within a 5 minute walk and the historic Partenkirchen area is also close by.

Cozy Bavarian Landhaus in Great Location

My wife and I (both in our early 30's) stayed here for seven nights. We had the apartment on the 1st floor (2nd floor by US notation), and enjoyed a beautiful view of the surrounding valley and the Zugspitze from our bedroom and balcony.

The Landhaus is on the Partenkirchen side of the village, which is a bit more of a quiet, rural, and more residential section than Garmisch. In this way, it also retains more of an Altstadt feel and there are several VERY good/fun restaurants on the near-by Ludwigstraße.

The Classic ski area can be reached by a bus that travels from a stop that is about a 30-second walk from the house. The bus travels directly to the ski lift. The Zugspitze ski area can be reached (as per the norm) by taking the same bus to the Hauptbahnhof, and managing the Zugspiztebahn from there. As it happens, there are also a number of pleasant walks in the area and access to the Wank is only five minutes by foot from the Landhaus.

And, while the Landhaus is near to a main road, the lot that the Landhaus, itself, is on has retained a secluded, residential feel, and there is absolutely no traffic noise whatsoever. Further to this, the proximity of this aforementioned road has an upside insofar as the bus that takes you to the ski areas (as noted above), the Hauptbahnhof, and Garmisch is quite close.

We also travelled with our dog, and the family was very welcoming and accepting of his presence.

I would recommend this apartment to someone who is looking for a rural, mountain-village experience, while, at the same time, being able to enjoy easy access to lively towns for eating, and grocery shopping, etc.

In respect to languages, I speak fluent German, so this was not an issue. However, another family that was staying in the apartment above ours did not speak any at all, it seemed. However, this was (and is) not a problem; Frau Gillmeyer can arrange everything for you, as needed, in English.

Bayrische Gemütlichkeit in guter Lage

Wir (junges Paar Anfang 30) haben 1 1/2 schöne und erholsame Wochen in GAP und im Landhaus Lenz verbracht. In ruhiger Lage (trotz Nähe zur Hauptstraße) konnte man in "urisch-bayrischer Gmiadlichkeit" gut entspannen. Bushaltestelle ist 1 Minute entfernt, der Blick vom 3-Seiten-Balkon u. a. gen Zug- und Alspitze grandios. Trotz ausreichend Platz sind die Wege in der FeWo kurz und auch ein Abend auf der Couch ist kuschlig. Ansonsten können alle Ausflugsziele in und um GAP schnell und gut ereicht werden und Dank Kurkarte oftmals sogar kostenos. Ein paar ebenso "gmiadliche" und liebe Haustiere (Hund und Katze) verleihen dem ganzen familiäre Atmosphäre und Infomaterial auch für vollkommene Neulinge in GAP ist ausreichend vorhanden. Auf alle Fälle eine Empfehlung wert!

Prima Wohnung in den Bergen

Gemütlich eingerichtete Wohnung mit 2 großen Schlafzimmern und wunderbarem Blick auf die Berge und die Sprungschanze in verkehrsgünstiger Lage des Ortsteils Partenkirchen. Sauber und prima ausgestattet zu einem fairen Preis. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und unkompliziert. Über die freie Nutzung des W-Lan Anschlusses haben wir uns auch gefreut. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, Fußgängerzone Partenkirchen nicht weit entfernt. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen!
