Super close to Disney and the best part is that you can WALK TO EVERYTHING!!! The house is located in a historic residential neighborhood surrounded by cute homes like this one that are registered as Historic homes by the city of Anaheim. It is within walking distance to the fun and lively downtown Anaheim area near City Hall with tons of things for families and hipsters to explore. The downtown area includes the Center Street Promenade near Museo Museum and the Packing District which features the Packard Building and the newly-opened and all-the-rage-of-OC Packing House. Don't miss this! All of these places are loaded with restaurants, shopping, ice cream parlors, juice bars, and an ice-skating rink. Lots of places for families to hang out. Take a selfie as you sit outside of the Packing Building while dining on the train. This is the new cool spot in OC and you can easily walk to not only all of this, but a grocery store, Starbucks, and 2 farmers markets. I will give you links and details for all of these places with your booking so that you can plan your activities ahead of time.

I am an experienced vrbo'er. I have another listing in Huntington Beach (#446831) and another in Anaheim (#683589) that I have run with great success. Check out my reviews! Please contact me if you are unsure of the process of booking a vacation rental or have any questions. I am here to help!

I am really excited to present this listing. This is an original, well-preserved, 101 year-old historic California Bungalow, but with all the modern amenities. Your opportunity to not only visit Southern California, but a way to live and breath a classic SoCal type of architecture which has been reproduced throughout the world. The location is perfect. As mentioned above you can walk to everything. Also, you are a short 2.5 mile ride to Disneyland, Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim Stadium, and the Honda Center. It is in the heart of the downtown, the Anaheim Colony Historic District, and 3 miles close to major freeways: 5, 22, 57, 91. The house is newly remodeled. Included are top-end super-capacity washer and dryer. There is a patio area with seating for 8. You can seat 9 people around the dining room table. Perfect for 1 large or 2 small families. Please don't hesitate to email or call me with any questions. If you are new to VRBO and how the whole process works, talk to me. Let me welcome you to the perfect home for your vacation.

The City of Anaheim requires that all short-term rentals be licensed by the city. The Permit No. for this listing is REG2014-00162

About Robert Yagar

I am a California native. I live in Huntington Beach and I take advantage of all that Southern California has to offer.

Robert Yagar purchased this bungalow in 2013

Why Robert Yagar chose Anaheim

This property is 101 years old and registered with the city of Anaheim as a Qualified Historic Structure and has been preserved as such. The city awarded the house a plaque proclaiming its historical significance which you can read on the entrance to the home. However, the entire house has been completely remodeled with new appliance, new electrical, and copper plumbing. This house is in the historic section of Anaheim and the neighborhood feels like a vibrant city and you can walk to restaurants, shops, Anaheim Ice skating rink (where the Anaheim Ducks practice and you can too! The building was designed by Frank Gehry so it's worth a look even if you don't skate), and Muzeo Museum within walking distance. The home is spacious with 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It comfortably sleeps 10 people so it is perfect for one large extended family or two small families. There is a private parking garage and an extra parking space. The back yard features a private patio space and fruit trees. 10 people can sit at the dining room table at one time. The house is within 2 miles to Disneyland, Angel Stadium, and the Honda Center. The house is situated within 3 miles of the major freeways: 5, 22, 57, and 91. This is the property to choose if you are coming from out of town and want the total So Cal experience. Why not stay in an original historic California Bungalow and feel and experience the wonderful city of Anaheim. The home is also an excellent choice if you are a local and you want a head start on getting to Disneyland and a close place to retire at the end of the night. Angels have a 3 game series at home and you don't want to miss them. Stay here and make it a mini-vacation.

What makes this bungalow unique

Location, Location, Location. Anaheim is the heart and soul of Southern California. Many cities in So Cal are sleep residential areas with not much going on. Anaheim features not only the obvious Disneyland, but it also hosts the Los Angeles/California Angels and the Anaheim Ducks. There is much gentrification currently underway in the city which is breathing new life. This is one of the few properties from which you can walk to the Packing House which is a very trendy place to hang out with many places to eat. It is very popular and hard to find parking. Anaheim, unlike any other city in So Cal, FEELS LIKE A REAL CITY!!!

Exceptional experience. Great Disney location!

  • 5 of 5

From check-in to check-out, the accomodations were perfect and met all of our expectations. The property was clean, well-maintained, and many amenities (coffee filters, dryer sheets, paper towels, etc.) were provided; making our ten-day stay more enjoyable because we weren't constantly having to shop for those little incidentals you often don't think about.

Robert made sure we were aware of many of the local eateries and attractions. The Packing House was a great place to eat and was just a 5 minute walk away! Disneyland was really close and easy to get to and the house had enough room for the kids to roam and play when we had downtime away from the DIsney parks.

The house was clean, check-in was smooth, check-out was not overly complicated, and all our needs were met... but above all those things, the best part of our stay was the ease and speed of communication with the owners. Robert was immediate with his responses to our questions before our stay and even checked back with us afterwards, too. Having used VRBO on multiple occasions, I can tell you that their level of communication and customer service was superb. Highly recommend.

Great property!!!

  • 5 of 5

The house was really great for the family. Very close to Disneyland you could see the fireworks clearly during the night.

All the necessities were stocked e.g shampoo, paper towel, soap etc. Washer and dryer came in every handy. Good parking for two cars.

We will definitely recommend the property to everyone. We would definitely stay here again!

Best homeaway experience yet!

  • 5 of 5

This home has an amazing location... great restaurants and park within walking distance. 8 minute drive to Disney. The house itself was roomy, had lots of extras, and was easy to access. Working with the owner was great as well, he got back to us right away when we had questions. We would come back here for sure!

Brilliant and convenient for Disney

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying in this beautiful bungalow. The house was clean and secure and a convenient place for a 10 minute uber to Disney. Lots of traffic noise the only drawback.

Pleasant Stay

  • 4 of 5

Very nice accommodations and nice owner to deal with. Layout of bathrooms is a bit odd, but not an issue. Only minor complaints were initial access to the house as it requires getting through a side gate that is not easy to figure out. Also barely hot water in kitchen and bathroom sinks, but plenty in the showers. Overall..it was a pleasant stay.

Home away from home with new atmosphere...

  • 5 of 5

It was a great chance to stay in one of an old house, but inside was totally remodeled, right in the heart of Historical of Anaheim District, California. We all were very enjoyed our stays. The house was kept very clean. Great things were, the Home Owner had plenty of home supplies for renters to use. Ofcourse, if you don't abuse it, don't waste it... you don't need to go to buy more those supplies! Just saying, the pictures you see they posted in their website, those are truly from the house. It was located at the corner of one of the main, busy street in one of the well known city, town... it may be little bother you from traffic noises, but if you are not so picky person, you are fine and you will love the area!!! We had families lived in Santa Ana, very close by, but never came out to this town before, just drove by once? Thank you Robert, the Home Owner, remind us to visit the Packing House... YES, if you did not know, did not come to this place before, you need too! One stop for foods, deserts... you will find them all!!!

Absolutely we will come by this place again... We might not stay at same house again, but will definitely book Robert's other property in Huntington Beach(?)... because he kept his house clean, with most of things you need... he treat you like royalty with his loyalty. Please note... I loved to share my travel experiences to other travelers. This is not an advertisement!
