Super close to Disney and the best part is that you can WALK TO EVERYTHING!!! The house is located in a historic residential neighborhood surrounded by cute homes like this one that are registered as Historic homes by the city of Anaheim. It is within walking distance to the fun and lively downtown Anaheim area near City Hall with tons of things for families and hipsters to explore. The downtown area includes the Center Street Promenade near Museo Museum and the Packing District which features the Packard Building and the newly-opened and all-the-rage-of-OC Packing House. Don't miss this! All of these places are loaded with restaurants, shopping, ice cream parlors, juice bars, and an ice-skating rink. Lots of places for families to hang out. Take a selfie as you sit outside of the Packing Building while dining on the train. This is the new cool spot in OC and you can easily walk to not only all of this, but a grocery store, Starbucks, and 2 farmers markets. I will give you links and details for all of these places with your booking so that you can plan your activities ahead of time.

I am an experienced vrbo'er. I have another listing in Huntington Beach (#446831) and another in Anaheim (#683589) that I have run with great success. Check out my reviews! Please contact me if you are unsure of the process of booking a vacation rental or have any questions. I am here to help!

I am really excited to present this listing. This is an original, well-preserved, 101 year-old historic California Bungalow, but with all the modern amenities. Your opportunity to not only visit Southern California, but a way to live and breath a classic SoCal type of architecture which has been reproduced throughout the world. The location is perfect. As mentioned above you can walk to everything. Also, you are a short 2.5 mile ride to Disneyland, Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim Stadium, and the Honda Center. It is in the heart of the downtown, the Anaheim Colony Historic District, and 3 miles close to major freeways: 5, 22, 57, 91. The house is newly remodeled. Included are top-end super-capacity washer and dryer. There is a patio area with seating for 8. You can seat 9 people around the dining room table. Perfect for 1 large or 2 small families. Please don't hesitate to email or call me with any questions. If you are new to VRBO and how the whole process works, talk to me. Let me welcome you to the perfect home for your vacation.

The City of Anaheim requires that all short-term rentals be licensed by the city. The Permit No. for this listing is REG2014-00162

About Robert Yagar

I am a California native. I live in Huntington Beach and I take advantage of all that Southern California has to offer.

Robert Yagar purchased this bungalow in 2013

Why Robert Yagar chose Anaheim Colony Historic District

This property is 101 years old and registered with the city of Anaheim as a Qualified Historic Structure and has been preserved as such. The city awarded the house a plaque proclaiming its historical significance which you can read on the entrance to the home. However, the entire house has been completely remodeled with new appliance, new electrical, and copper plumbing. This house is in the historic section of Anaheim and the neighborhood feels like a vibrant city and you can walk to restaurants, shops, Anaheim Ice skating rink (where the Anaheim Ducks practice and you can too! The building was designed by Frank Gehry so it's worth a look even if you don't skate), and Muzeo Museum within walking distance. The home is spacious with 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It comfortably sleeps 10 people so it is perfect for one large extended family or two small families. There is a private parking garage and an extra parking space. The back yard features a private patio space and fruit trees. 10 people can sit at the dining room table at one time. The house is within 2 miles to Disneyland, Angel Stadium, and the Honda Center. The house is situated within 3 miles of the major freeways: 5, 22, 57, and 91. This is the property to choose if you are coming from out of town and want the total So Cal experience. Why not stay in an original historic California Bungalow and feel and experience the wonderful city of Anaheim. The home is also an excellent choice if you are a local and you want a head start on getting to Disneyland and a close place to retire at the end of the night. Angels have a 3 game series at home and you don't want to miss them. Stay here and make it a mini-vacation.

What makes this bungalow unique

Location, Location, Location. Anaheim is the heart and soul of Southern California. Many cities in So Cal are sleep residential areas with not much going on. Anaheim features not only the obvious Disneyland, but it also hosts the Los Angeles/California Angels and the Anaheim Ducks. There is much gentrification currently underway in the city which is breathing new life. This is one of the few properties from which you can walk to the Packing House which is a very trendy place to hang out with many places to eat. It is very popular and hard to find parking. Anaheim, unlike any other city in So Cal, FEELS LIKE A REAL CITY!!!

Great Find in a Great Location

  • 4 of 5

We couldn't have been happier about our stay here. My family got together with my husband's brother's family and fit in the space perfectly. We had a total of 9 and everyone had a space to sleep. The dining room table fit us all for meals in and playing games! The ping pong table in the garage got good use as well and the outside table. The only downside is the street noise - it's pretty loud as you are trying to get to sleep and it wakes you in the morning. I strongly suggest you bring ear plugs - it helps 100%. This would in no way affect our decision to stay here again. The house is located in a great area that is accessible to everything. We dropped the kids at Disneyland and then a took an Uber up ourselves. Vons is a mere minutes away for grocery shopping and the Packing House is awesome!! We walked to the Packing House and had so much fun trying appetizers and beer/wine at all the different places for happy hour. It's like a bunch of different food trucks all inside in little cafes. A must to do!!

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the minimal number of napkins and paper towels that were provided, and there weren't any potholders or conditioner to go with the shampoo. Other than that, everything was great.

Great house, great location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home over Christmas and we loved it! It was a perfect spot for a family vacation. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is large and open. We all enjoyed the game room in the garage...had our fair share of table tennis and pool tournaments. The close proximity to Disneyland was great, and other necessities (grocery store, drug store, etc.) are all very nearby.

Robert was a pleasure to deal with. The house had more than ample start-up supplies. Our only suggestion would be more towels please. We are a family of 6 (4 teenagers) and my mom joined us too, so we had exactly the amount of towels needed for our group, but no extra. Since the house is listed as sleeping 9, a few more towels might be needed for a group of that size.

Very close to Disney and great home for the price.

  • 4 of 5

We really liked the house. The rooms were big enough and the bathrooms worked well. We liked the parking options, both on the road and on the property. Our kids used the pool/ping pong table on Sunday and loved them. We only ate a couple of meals there, but had to buy paper bowls because we couldn't find any for cereal. The house sits on the corner of an intersection. If you're sensitive to noise at night, get some ear plugs; it was only a minor inconvenience and didn't bother us too much. It was also a quick and easy drive to the freeway. Thank you for the nice stay, we wished we could've been there to get an orange off the tree!

Beautiful home in a convenient, easy to walk area!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in Robert's home! More than enough space for 8 of us. Comfortable and beautiful. Although we heard street noise and saw traffic, nothing that disturbed our stay or our sleep. Everything you could possibly need close by and a very easy walk to the ART bus for Disneyland. Great restaurants around also, and Robert shared all his tips with us!
