Private Fishing in BC Mountain Lakes- Fly in access only!
Tesla Lake Lodge is located in North Tweesdmuir Park, a 45 min flight from Burns Lake. Our beautiful private spot is nestled at the foot of mountains with crystal clear waters and has a new cabin and access to 3 fishing lakes and hiking trails. Trophy Rainbow trout are abundant on this 9 mile mountain lake. Our cabin sleeps 6 people comfortably and we only book one group at a time for a 4 day package getaway and we are the only cabin on the lake. This wilderness getaway has hot showers, indoor plumbing, full kitchen, BBQ, and much more. Come and enjoy the privacy, beauty and incredible fishing that we have to offer.
Nick, Mary and Ewan Hawes have been running Lakes District Air and Fishing for 7 years. Nick has been flying in Northern BC for over 15 years and is the Operations Manger/Owner of LD Air's 4 aircraft fleet.
Nick Hawes purchased this lodge in 1976
We absolutely loved our stay here. The property, lodge, scenery and tranquility of this place were all beyond our expectations. Very friendly owners and pilots, the flight was breathtaking and the fishing was spectacular! We went with our three little kids...was an amazing family experience. Would definately go back!
Spent a few days at Tesla and was amazed with the scenery and accommodation! Remote but luxurious - well equipped and very comfortable. Lakes District Air made it even more memorable with a great flight in and beautiful inflight views! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly wilderness experience.
I've had the fortune to visit Tesla a couple of times with the owner Nick Hawes. Both visits were in beautiful fall weather (in t-shirts). The views are spectacular and the surroundings are those of nature at its best. I absolutely love the lodge. It's a couple paces to the lake which means you can't get any closer to "water front " than that!
I haven't had the privilege to do much hiking in the area or fish in all the lakes but I can tell you there is some great fishing to be had from Tesla Lk.
I do look forward to do some more exploreing next time I visit however.
Nick and Mary are wonderful people who will make anyone feel welcome to their beautiful lodges. Enjoy!
I have stayed at Tesla Lake Lodge twice and can't wait to return!
This remote location is unbelievably peaceful, the Trophy Rainbows are challenging and the scenery will blow you away! Very cool! Hiking to Olaf and Wahla lakes was absolutely beautiful!
The modern cabin is finished perfectly and has all the conveniences of home. Hot water? No problem! Very clean and well maintained.
I can't recommend this experience enough! Top shelf!
Tweedsmuir Park is the largest provincial park in British Columbia. The North Tweedsmuir section of the park does not have any roads and and is virtually untouched. We fly in this area and invite you to see the beauty and remoteness of this wilderness park from the air!
Lakes Disitrict Air operates two Tweedmuir Park fishing lodges.
Some information from the BC Parks website: Park Size: 446,092 hectares for North Tweedsmuir Park and 150,000 hectares for Tweedsmuir Protected Area.
Tweedsmuir North Provincial Park is approximately 480 kilometres by air northwest of Vancouver. The park is bounded on the north and southwest by the Coast Mountains and on the east by the Nechako Plateau. The park is south of Highway #16, approximately 90 to 100 kilometres, between Burns Lake and Houston.
There are very few facilities in this park and we are pleased to have a beautiful and remote getaway cabin for you to enjoy with trophy size rainbow trout ready for the catching!
