This luxury condominium is the perfect location for two or three couples to get-away and decompress. (Sorry, no children under 14 allowed per HOA.) The condominium building is in the beautiful La Paz Resort of La Concha. Guests in the condo are entitled to full use of the La Concha Resort, including room service, workout facilities, restaurant, Palapa Bar, and The Cortez Club 5-Star PADI dive shop.

You will find this a great place to look out onto the beautiful smooth bay from the condominium building's spa and infinity pool (shown in picture on left), as well as from the condo's own patio, six stories up. The beach is only ten feet away from the swimming pool and outdoor spa.

This penthouse condominium occupies two floors, and offers over 2800 square feet of fully air-conditioned, living space. It sits on the top two floors of the six-story building which is serviced by an elevator. (In picture of the condominium building, our condo is the top two floors on the right side of the building- the part you see jetting out is part of one of the two bedrooms upstairs.) The upstairs has two large bedrooms (king bed in one and two queens in the other) and two full bathrooms.

The lower level of the condo has a full kitchen, the Master Bedroom (Two twin beds or can be made into a king by maid), two more full bathrooms, the living room, dining room and the very large patio, which has a built-in gas barbecue. There are also two televisions (each with DVD player - bring down a few of your favorites), Satellite TV and ceiling fans throughout. Additional amenities include everything you would expect: telephones, iron and ironing board, dishwasher, quality flatware and other necessary cooking items, blender, toaster, coffeemaker, fresh bed linens, hair dryers, Royal Velvet bath towels and bath mats, beach towels, complete plastic ware for taking meals to the swimming pool, washer and dryer, etc. Basically, just bring your bathing suit and a few t-shirts.

You can sit on the spacious balcony in complete privacy and take in the incredible sunsets over the bay while sipping your favorite drink. You can have room service deliver appetizers and drinks or put some fresh fish on the built-in gas barbecue.

This unit is very comfortable and quiet. We've gone to great measures to continually update the property. Being in the La Concha resorts affords an even higher level of security and comfort with room service available, a restaurant and two bars. La Paz is a paradise location. The people are friendly and there are so many things to do.

La Paz was amazing, thank you so much again. Everything was fine. We had a

little problem witht he bathroom toilet but it only needed to be plunged.

The dolphins were incredible, that was one of our favorite things. We also

had a great time fishing. I caught two fish and David caught one, we saw

some whales and a marlin and a manta ray. We went wave-running twice, he

really enjoyed that.

I think that was it, we ate at telecote beach and liked it and then ate at

Rancho Viejo a bunch. I wish we had gone out more but I was just so tired

by the end of the day. But it was amazing and we had a great time. Let me

know if you need naything else.

Very Nice Penthouse, Wonderful Views, Very Spacious, Private Gated Community

What a great stay here. Last year we stayed at Hotel La Concha next door and the rooms were small and the AC units were just not very good. This year we discovered the condos next door and rented the penthouse unit to share with 2 of us, and our friends found a 2 bed suite one floor below. We all really liked that it was a private gated entry and quite literally had our own swimming pool down on the beach. We SCUBA and fish with the Cortez Club, which is just a short walk from the unit, and you can also use the hotels amenities if desired. I would highly recommend staying in this unit.!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Penthouse Condo

Hello Paul,

I would first like to thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful condo. My buddy Marty and I really enjoyed our stay. It's been at least 5 years since we last visited La Paz, and it was so nice to be back. The condo was in excellent condition, however there was an issue with the electricity when we arrived. We made every effort to get the electricity running, including working with maintenance without success. As a result, we ended up staying in one of the La Concha hotel rooms for a night. The staff was very accommodating and made us feel welcome. By the next day, the electricity at the condo was up and running and we were able to move our things in. Apparently, the issue with the meter for that specific unit. Something you may want to validate has been fixed and permanently resolved. Everything in the room was very clean and functional. The only recommendation I would make is to consider replacing the living room couch. The nails or staples that are used to secure the fabric to the frame are starting to wear through and it makes laying or sitting on the couch uncomfortable, and may pose a safety hazard. We also experienced issues with the front door. On a number of occasions, the keypad code would not work. I don't think it was a function issue with the keypad, more than it was the technique of turning and pushing the door knob all at the same time. Maybe we were just doing it wrong. You may want to check to confirm the front door is functioning correctly. Paul, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your home and these were just a few observations that we wanted to bring to your attention. I hope to bring my wife and son later this summer so they can experience the excitement of the amazing fishing La Paz. Thank You!

Fabulous Family Holiday Vacation

Thank you for sharing your condo with us. We brought 9 people ages 14-70 on this trip. This unit was perfect for our family. Plenty of room for everyone and having 4 bathrooms made getting ready to go out a breeze.

We all especially enjoyed the hot tub. That became our 4 pm destination most days.

The condo itself was exactly as described, very lovely and friendly feeling. Paul and Penny were very gracious and helpful.

It was also nice having the adjoining hotel, with kayaks, etc for our use. The first night we were tired and happy to walk over for a lovely Mexican dinner. We also discovered when we were missing a couple of ingredients for an at home dinner, we could purchase a few things from the dining room. So convenient! Then of course the hotel has a great outdoor bar. It was a treat to stop by and meet other visitors and of course the bar staff. On New Year's Eve we arrived to find them closing for the night, and our waiter graciously offered to stay long enough for us to have a celebratory cocktail. Great service!

This experience was nothing but delightful. On the advice of another guest we became acquainted with Hector on the Malecon who arranged for two boats to take us out to see the Whale Sharks. His price was very reasonable at just under $25 per person. So off we went, full of curiosity. Our family had a grand time snorkeling with these amazing giant gentle creatures. What a highlight to the trip.

We didn't make it to the much recommended El Rustico Restaurant, my friends all say it is numero uno! However, we did really enjoy The Tale Hunter Restaurant.

We left with fond feelings for La Paz and La Concha Condos. Will be back for sure. Thank you.

Great spot in La Paz

A group of friends stayed for a fishing weekend and it is a great spot - very spacious, clean and well kept up. Lots of beach and pool towels, overall a great stay - we'll be back soon.

Simply Superb!

The property is exactly as described. We found all amenities to be in excellent working order and well cared for.

The Condo is nicely appointed, and the property itself is very secure and impeccably maintained. We also found the staff (Leo and Hugo) to be extremely friendly and helpful.

We look forward to staying again and highly recommend the property! The views from the balcony are specular and sunsets are even better! Furthermore the community pool is very clean and comfortable and personally as it was an adult weekend I enjoy its more “quite” atmosphere.

Have La Concha Hotel next door makes things very convenient for morning coffee, or meal or beverage.

Furthermore, while I was vacation I do like to keep up with the office. The Wi-Fi worked very well and had reasonable speeds.

Overall we were extremely pleased.

ZERO complaints!

And special thanks to Paul for confirming so quickly for us on our last minute travels plans.

Family Vacation

Our family of 7 stayed in this condo. This is Beautiful condo! The views are amazing! It is very spacious with 3 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. It does not look like it has had any renovations to the property since it was built, but has an "Old World Mexican" charm to it. The beach is just steps away from the elevator, which was a big plus. There was plenty of room to spread out and gave us all lots of privacy! During the time we were there, the La Concha Resort had just a few tourist staying there. The resort bar was nice and the margaritas were great! The food was OK! The reviews for The Cortez bar were great, but they were never open during the time we stayed.

The reason I was only willing to give 3 Stars is:

- the blender was old and had mold growing in it. (Leo, maintenance guy) replaced it right away!)

- the linens, towels and pillows need to be replaced.

- family room furniture is old and very uncomfortable.

- no hot water for washing machine...must have been turned off to save $$$

- soap containers on kitchen and bathroom counters need to be replaced with new ones.

I had to contact the manager 3 days before we were to arrive to get information to get into the condo. It would have been so helpful to have received that info at least 30 days prior when I paid the balance of the rental.

If you plan to rent a car, which I highly recommend, you will need to purchase insurance from the rental company. Mexico does not allow any insurance from other countries. You will have to spend about $30 per day on the rental insurance in addition to rental fees. I did not have enough time to figure this out since I did not receive that info until 3 days prior to arrival. So I cancelled our rental car and paid for a private van to take us from/back to the airport. This cost us about $550 with tip. We flew into Los Cabos airport which is about 2 1/2 or hours from the condo. I was told the La Paz airport is closer.

The city of La Paz is about 3-4 miles from the condo, so we spent a lot of money paying for a Taxi to go back and forth. It's a good hour or more to walk there one way.

On our last day we planned to take the Sea Lion boat tour from the Cortez Club, but the weather was bad that day. Plan early incase you have to reschedule!

I hope this information helps future renters of this property.

Hopefully the owner will fix these problems soon and this condo will be perfect!

Owner's Response: This is an interesting review. Of course no one wants to have a average review but sometimes no matter what you do, can do or did do is enough for some folks. I am Paul Anderson and I handle everything for this condo for Skip. I tell everyone I manage the condo. Skip is clearly listed on the website as the owner. Not that this should matter but seems to be a big deal for Liz. But it appears she thinks I lied to her. Not true. I was in La Paz, staying in my condo in the same building, when this guest arrived and for the entire time she and her family were there. I did speak to her several times around the pool as well as her grown children numerous times. Not once were there any issues with the condo mentioned. We can not address issues if we do not know about them. However my on-site property manager did let me know he purchased a new blender for Liz and I gave him my propane tank to replace the one that had gas when she arrived but must have run out during her stay. These were the only two issues I was aware of. I have had no communication with Liz other than letting her know I processed her deposit refund on January 15. Well within the two weeks stated. Her departure was January 6. Skip forwarded Liz's list of issues (which is different than this list) to me so I could review with onsite staff. She did not send this to me. As the pictures on the site show all rooms and the furniture and decorations. When I travel to a foreign country I research the local things to do and the local laws. I do not expect the VRBO owner to tell me everything about the country I am traveling to. Liz sent me a list of questions at 10:00 PM Christmas night and I responded to her with more information than she could use on December 26 at 4.40 PM well within 24 hours. Granted this could have been sent sooner, however it was timely to her request. Not sure how it is a condo owner's responsibility for the cost of ground transportation or lack of ability to locate and airport on a map. I have more than 25 guest a year for this condo, all the reviews have been favorable. Every once in a while we all rent to a guest who is just not happy. Again having not heard of any issues from this guest it is not reasonable to address them three weeks later. I ask you not to allow this one guest tarnish the superb reputation I have had with every other guest of this condo. Paul Anderson

La Paz is a place that you won’t ever forget once you’ve been fortunate enough to visit. There are a number of white sand beaches, including Balandra Bay and Tecolote Beach. We recommend that visitors make sure to take the following day trips:

1. Snorkel with the sea lions: Drive to Tecolote Beach and negotiate with the people in front of the first restaurant on the right. They’ll provide you with the snorkels, masks and fins and a great lunch on the beach after you’ve had your time in the water at the tip of the island with the colony of sea lions.

2. Tecolote Beach Day: Hang out on the beach at Tecolote Beach and just enjoy the sun, clear water and activities. There are wave runners and other water toys to rent and several good beach restaurants/bars.

3. Todos Santos: Drive the 50 minutes to Todos Santos and enjoy the fantastic shopping. There are numerous shops with curios and arts. Los Adobes is a fabulous high-end restaurant that we never miss.
