Winter Wonderland

  • 5 of 5

From start to finish, this property was perfect for a post-Christmas getaway for my husband and me and our two adult children with friends. The home and location provided the perfect blend of relaxation and activity. We were able to stay right in the cabin watching snow fall on the lake while drinking our morning coffee every morning. Both Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain provided skiing opportunities within easy distance. It was also an easy drive to Tahquamenon Falls which we had never seen in the winter--amazing!! While there are many excellent eating opportunities within very close distance, we were also able to cook and enjoy meals and football game/New Year's Eve snacks in the well-appointed kitchen. No detail is overlooked in making this home a perfect vacation stay including extensive, clear information about the area provided well in advance by the owners.

Fantastic Family Vacation Stay

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a great time staying here at the lake house! The home had all the amenities we could ever ask for and everything was very clean. Staying in East Jordan is central to many activities like boat rentals, grocery stores, and shopping or being a tourist in Charlevoix. Lake Charlevoix itself it an amazing lake and the water quality is real clean. I cannot wait to visit again some summer!

The best of both worlds!

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing week at this East Jordan property. The cabin itself has been beautifully restored and is immaculate. The beds were very comfortable, plush towels and even beach towels were provided for our use. It's location on the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix was perfect for swimming and water sports. We rented SUP's and kayaks from Jordan Valley Outfitters down the road and simply dropped them in the water and rode them back to the cabin - very convenient. We enjoy cooking and it was so nice to have a fully stocked kitchen and gas grill. The owners provide detailed information on area attractions, dining, etc. and it was very helpful. They even mentioned a festival going on during our stay that we could check out. The location is convenient to so much - we spent time in Charlevoix, Boyne City and even Petoskey. The vintage charm coupled with the modern amenities of this cabin provided us with the best of both worlds and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. Thanks again!

Just What We Needed!

  • 5 of 5

This vintage log cabin takes you back in time with the spoils of modern amenities. The cabin is very well maintained and the photos of the interior and exterior do not do it justice. The owners extended every courtesy to make sure that our stay was one to remember. We were provided with several pages of information (and recommendations) about the area from shopping to dining to exploration.

The location is very convenient to East Jordan but we found ourselves venturing to Boyne City, Ironton and Charlevoix as well. We traveled by car and by boat as the cabin has mooring stations for the ski boat that we rented for the week from Summertime Rentals - great recommendation! The South Arm of Lake Charlevoix is the place to be!

We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the property. Thanks again for everything.

Wonderful Cabin on Lake Charlevoix with all of the amenities

  • 5 of 5

This property was exactly as described and we couldn't have been happier with it. The owners couldn't have made it easier to organize the reservation and they provided all the necessary information as well as very helpful tips about local shops and restaurants that came in very handy. The cabin is very well maintained and it is obvious that the owners paid a great deal of attention to making the cabin as comfortable as possible for guests. The beds were very comfortable, the decor was charming and the kitchen was perfectly equipped. We loved this spot on the calm arm of Lake Charlevoix and the shallow swim area was perfect for the kids. We very much enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend this property.

Great Place!

  • 5 of 5

The listing was very accurate and the owner was very helpful. The photos accurately reflect the interior and exterior and the amenities were as described. The property was very well maintained. The owner provided us with several pages of info about the place and included lists of local restaurants and activities.

The cottage fit our group of 4 adults and two teens well. There is a low-ceiling loft that could be used for additional sleeping but the ladder makes it too high to be safe for younger children.

The location is very convenient to East Jordan, about a mile. There is a public sandy beach and roped off swimming area near downtown East Jordan which our group enjoyed.

The City of Charlevoix is about 13 miles up the road. Several restaurants and nice little shops. There is a public beach there as well for Lake Michigan swimming, with life guards, and very family friendly.

We agree with the owner recommendation for the little ice cream store in East Jordan. It's a great find. Our group gave their hot dogs big thumbs up.

We would certainly recommend this cottage and the owner. We had a great time.
