Nestled near the Idaho towns of Donnelly and McCall, this beautifully decorated one level, two bedroom Tamarack condo offers wonderful lodging to enjoy all that this stunning mountain area has to offer - a lush golf course, Lake Cascade, and a plethora of winter sports like downhill skiing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
A large open living space features gleaming hardwood floors, lots of windows for natural light, and tall ceilings. After a day on the slopes, settle down into the stylish sofa cushions and enjoy a cozy fire in the gas fireplace. And if looking out the window and watching the snow fall down isn't enough entertainment, there's a TV with cable and a DVD player. Get comfortable and watch an after-dinner movie or load up the coffee table with snacks for everyone and view an afternoon game.
An open kitchen gives you all the appliances and gadgets to create great vacation meals or just heat up leftovers. If you do want to do some cooking or baking, there's plenty of room on the granite countertops to chop vegetables, grate cheese, or even roll out cookie dough. A breakfast bar provides space for a quick morning meal. For more leisurely occasions, set the dining room table, light some candles, and open a bottle of wine to accompany your feast.
Just off the living room is a deck with lovely lake views. Find a nice, quiet space to enjoy your morning coffee, read a book in the late afternoon sun, or wind down in the evening with a glass of port.
For the lucky inhabitants, a beautiful master suite boasts a king-sized bed, balcony, and its own full bathroom with a separate walk-in shower and a large jetted tub. The equally nice, large second bedroom has two full-sized beds, luxurious furnishings, and a large window to let in lots of natural light. An additional full bathroom is easily share and has a tub/shower combo.
The two bedrooms will comfortably accommodate up to six guests. And if you get dirty while out hiking or snowshoeing, rest assured that there's a washer and dryer in the condo for warm, clean clothes anytime you need them.
With a great location right at the Tamarack Resort, you really can leave your car parked in the heated garage and not use it again until you leave! Within walking distance are biking and hiking trails, skiing, and numerous water sports out on Lake Cascade.
If you do want to cast a bit of a wider net, Donnelly is only an eight mile drive east for the annual Huckleberry Festival in August or a soak in one of the local hot springs. A bit farther away at 20 miles is the larger resort town of McCall. With a number of restaurants, breweries, and a beautiful state park right on Payette Lake, a day trip to this nearby town is a worthwhile excursion.
In winter, ski season kicks in around mid-December and runs through mid-March. Enjoy Alpine skiing, snowshoeing, and Nordic skiing, as well as an acclaimed "Sports School," that offers private and group ski lesson. All of this without even stepping foot off the resort!
Whether you come in the warmer months or visit in the winter, a stay at this Tamarack condo will truly charm your whole group.
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
Beautiful property, clean and well supplied. Good location and view. enjoyable experience.
Super nice accomodations. Clean, convenient and comfortable.
Our rental was much more than I expected. It felt like being at home and was warm and inviting. It was a great trip and will go back to this property as much as we can. Nice to feel safe and be able to relax. VRBO will be the place I always call first for any other trips we take!!
This condo is in a great location for downhill skiing. The room is nice with a good view. The fireplace felt great after a cold day outside. If you cross country ski be aware that they don't groom their trails. They advertise that they are groomed twice a week but that didn't happen when we were there. The pool, hot tub, weight room and restaurant in the lodge are closed. We would stay here again though for the great downhill skiing and you get a pretty nice condo for the money. Next time though I would bring earplugs because the people above us were sooooooo loud it was hard to sleep.
The condo itself was nice but the resort is a ghost town. Nothing in the hotel was running(pool, gym, restaurant). They apparently have a legal problem so everything is shut down. It was also a little confusing with key cards and the check in process since everything wasn't really running. They need to clarify things a bit more.
