|Minimum Stay||2 - 4 nights|
Get away from it all with a stay at this four-bedroom Black Butte Ranch vacation home. On the far edge of the resort, right on the border of the Deschutes National Forest, you'll enjoy a peaceful family retreat, but with all the great resort amenities you could imagine - cross-skiing, snowshoeing, a sledding hill, biking, tennis, swimming, horseback riding, hiking and two world-class golf courses. In fact, the Big Meadow Course was recently named one of the "Best Courses You can Play" in Oregon by GolfWeek Magazine. All of this and your own private hot tub awaits you at this contemporary, on-the-edge-of-the-forest resort getaway.
Extensively remodeled in 2003, you'll step inside to a living room with tall ceilings, large picture windows, and lovely, knotty wood paneling. On chilly nights, sit in front of the stone fireplace and watch a movie on the TV. There's a DVD player and a VCR, so you'll be covered no matter what movies you bring from home! Or, you may just want to sit back and enjoy the lovely tree-lined view.
On this level there's a mud room for storing outdoor equipment - this room also has a bathroom for extra convenience. From here, you can make your way out to the large deck and outdoor hot tub. Come back from cross-country skiing on the groomed golf course trails and relax, while looking up at the stars. Out here, you'll also find a gas grill and plenty of seats for outdoor meals, so on sunny days you can plan a big family cookout.
If it's too cold outside for grilling, there's a full kitchen with all the major appliances needed for preparing great vacation meals. Stay in for a succulent roast chicken dinner or a simple platter of sandwiches and bowls of soup. Either way, this space has everything you need. Right off the kitchen, you'll find a dining area for enjoying your feasts!
The only bedroom on this floor has a queen bed, so if there's anyone in your group who may want an extra bit of privacy, this is a great room. Upstairs, you'll find three additional bedrooms - two with a king sized bed each and a bunk room with two sets of twin bunk beds and a futon. There's also an extra TV with a VCR, DVD player, and a stereo to keep all the younger guests entertained. This home will comfortably sleep 12 guests and features additional amenities like a washer and dryer, as well as WiFi throughout the house.
This family-friendly getaway in the heart of Central Oregon offers both indoor and outdoor pools, a shared hot tub (of course, you have your own private hot tub right on your deck!), a steam room, workout facilities, hiking and biking trails, tennis courts, and a beautiful lodge with four different dining options. Pop into the Aspen Lounge for scenic afternoon views and a glass of wine or plan a romantic dinner out at the Lodge Restaurant. In summer, golfers can practice their swings at two world-class golf courses, but there's also horseback stables for guided rides, and fly fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and canoeing out on beautiful Phalarope Lake.
At Black Butte Ranch, you'll be surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Central Oregon. And just beyond the resort, there are just as many opportunities for adventure. Hoodoo Ski Area is only 14 miles away in Sisters and the Deschutes National Forest offers many trails for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and hiking and mountain biking in the summer. Bend, only a 45 minute drive away, is a great day trip year-round. Visit one of the many local breweries, do a little gallery browsing, shopping at the Old Mill District, and have your pick from many restaurants, cafes, eateries, and wine bars.
For a holiday trip with sleigh rides, skiing, and winter sports to a summer filled with swimming, fishing, hiking, and more, this vacation home at Black Butte Ranch will delight everyone in your group!
*At check-in, please be aware that the resort will collect an $8 daily fee for every guest 7 years and older for access. Also, please note that motorcycles are not permitted within the ranch or on any of the Black Butte properties.*

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
The house was a great size for our large family. The local staff were very helpful in our search for firewood buried under the snow. Although we never found it, Greg brought us some wood our first night. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back again! Maybe just keep some wood stocked up in the garage so clients don't have to dig through feet of snow.
The kitchen was well stocked. Bathrooms for all. Enough room as well.
The only reason we gave it 3 stars is because the bottom floor stayed pretty chilly the whole time. No matter what we did, turning up the heat, closing bedroom doors. It stayed about the same temperature downstairs. The upstairs warmed up really good, probably because warm air rises. We also tried to build a fire in the fireplace but all the firewood that was there (which wasn't very much) was all wet so it wouldn't burn. All in all we enjoyed our stay, loved the hot tub, beds were a little hard for our taste but that's not a big deal, we loved the home.
Fun house, good location, I'd stay again
This property was very clean and had plenty of linens and towels for everyone who stayed there. This issue I had with this property is it was not kid friendly at all. The bunk beds were not secure at all and the ladders kept falling as the kids were climbing in. One was even held together with scotch tape. The drawers in the kitchen were broken and some even hanging off. There were also very large spiders everywhere inside the home. Boards on the back porch were also loose or broken.
