Summerland Cottage Rental Photos and Description

1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 4 (two adults with children), Close To The Lake

This luxurious, contemporary, private one bedroom guest house is located on a gated .6 acre lot in beautiful Trout Creek. This retreat-like setting is less than a block from two public accesses to Okanagan Lake, on a quiet street, close to playgrounds, tennis courts, popular public beaches, fruit/vegetable stands and minutes away from the Research Station and a multitude of wineries (the infamous “Bottleneck Drive”).

This “home away from home” is non-smoking, fully furnished with a fully equipped gourmet kitchen and seating area, in-suite laundry, one bedroom with a queen size bed and large closet. Bedding and towels are included.

The sitting room has a hide-a-bed and TV/entertainment centre (with Optic TV and wireless internet).

It also features two private entrances, adjacent to a salt water pool, next to a large grassed area for picnics, playing and fruit picking. Guests will have full access to the pool (seasonally), playground equipment, private deck area and propane barbecue. The pool has a motorized cover which makes it safe and secure when not in use.

Come and enjoy the beauty, adventures and tastes of the Okanagan, visiting wineries (Bottleneck Drive), orchards, summer beaches, golfing and winter skiing (one hour to Apex Mountain and 2 hours to Big White, Kelowna), KVR Railway, Summerland Sweets, hiking and bike trails. Summerland features a wide variety of shopping experiences and amazing restaurants.

Summerland (pop. approx. 11,000) is a town on the west side of Okanagan Lake in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. The district is between Peachland to the north and Penticton to the south. The largest centre in the region is Kelowna, approximately 50 km to the north (via Highway 97), and Vancouver is approximately 425 km (264 mi) away to the west. Airports are located in Penticton and Kelowna. Summerland is famous for 'Bottleneck drive', a system of roads connecting a large number of wineries.

About Pam Borchert

We LOVE Summerland and raised our family here. After living in Kelowna for awhile, we have returned and now are semi-retired. Jack is a pastor and Pam is now busy being a “Bubba” to her grandchildren. We live on the property but in a separate residence and will respect your privacy. We look forward to making this Trout Creek treasure available to you.

Best Little Get Away Ever!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent 3 wonderful days at this lovely guest house - we had a great time and left totally rested. A five minute walk to the water, a short drive to wine, ice cream, a quilt store, great coffee shops and restaurants - and the most gracious host and hostess made for a relaxing, much needed get away. I wish we could go back every month!

Awesome Stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a wonderful week at Jack & Pam's poolside cottage. The cottage is very nice, everything we needed to do our own cooking. They have a wonderful apple tree right outside our door. The apples were incredible. The cottage is very quiet and private....could here the crickets at night and actually see the stars.

The pool was amazing. The new paved bike trail from Trout Creek to Lower Summerland was awesome.

Pam & Jack have a wonderful spot!....we'll be back.

Comfortable, clean and quiet

  • 5 of 5

We had a very nice 5-night stay in this clean, comfortable cottage. Pam and Jack were great hosts, providing us with fruit and veg from their yard and even fresh cinnamon buns one morning! Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate so we didn't get to try the pool, but we made good use of the kitchen and BBQ. The queen-size bed was comfortable and the quiet neighbourhood provided a nice place for evening walks. Close to lots of wineries as well as the Kettle Valley Railway hiking / biking trail. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful stay!!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from 3 awesome nights at this hidden gem! Spotless accommodation, private outdoor dining area with BBQ, lovely pool right outside our door that we used many times during our stay. Very quiet street, great for evening walks. Very close to a grassy park and beach, about 2 blocks away. Owners had very kindly put a small air conditioning unit in the bedroom as the weekend was extremely hot. Made a huge difference! Very easy to find with ample parking, very close (10 mins) to Penticton. Easy drive to many wineries, we had a wine tour company pick us up right at our door. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Excellent Experience

  • 5 of 5

Located a 1-minute walk from the lake, this little cottage beside the pool is a wonderful, quiet spot to base your Okanagan exploring and fun in the sun. It is very clean, newly appointed and well-designed. The dedicated BBQ and picnic area right outside the door is a great spot to enjoy the great weather with a glass of wine and a meal. There is room for a second couple on the comfortable hide-a-bed. The hosts are wonderful guides for shopping, local activities and are very generous with the use of the pool and the yard. We are coming for a second visit of this summer and highly recommend you book your stay here for next summer soon!
