The Fairways at Mauna Lani is a luxury, gated community located in the highly desirable Mauna Lani Resort on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Located nearby are two 5-star hotel properties: the Mauna Lani and Fairmont Orchid. A public beach is within walking distance and a private gated beach with private parking is available to guests of the Fairways.

Located within walking distance of shopping and restaurants, this townhome offers beautiful sunset views from the master bedroom lanai. The guest pool area and hot tub offer a great place to relax and take in the sun. There is a covered pavilion with a barbecue where you can get some shade and prepare a meal while others play in the pool.

The unit itself is fully equipped including washer/dryer, stainless steel appliances, and a Viking grill in the downstairs lanai. The granite counter tops with the finest finishes make this townhome a beautiful place to vacation. The upstairs master bedroom has two extra long twin TempurPedic beds in a king size bed configuration. Located within walking distance is premier dining at Ruth's Chris Restaurant and Tommy Bahama Restaurant, in addition to other restaurants in the Mauna Lani Shops and the two five-star hotels nearby.

Why Owner/ Property Manager chose Kohala Coast

We purchased this property because it is located in the dryer Kohala coast, in a 5-star resort area. It is also close to shopping and fine dining. It has access to a semi-private beach that is excellent for snorkeling and swimming. It is a spacious townhome with plenty of off-street parking and a beautiful, tropical park-like area with a pool, hot tub, and covered pavilion at the center of the development.

This townhome is equipped with a private barbeque and wrap-around Lanai. The upstairs master suite also has it's own private Lanai.

Excellent stay in Mauna Lani

After coming to the Big Island for several years, this was our first time staying in Mauna Lani. The Fairways is such a lovely community within walking distance of stores, coffee shops and restaurants. The property is lovely and well equipped. There was even a pack and play for our little one! We love to cook on our vacations and had more than enough tools to make all our favorite stuff, including fruity adult beverages. The beach pass to the Mauna Lani beach club was an unexpected perk - be sure to take advantage of that! All interactions with the owner were just super. Overall fantastic experience.

Truly just like home (if I owned the home of my dreams)

Our stay at Ernie's townhouse was absolutely wonderful. We have stayed at many owner-rented places in Fairways, the Mauna Lani resort and around the world, and this home was by far the one that was so well stocked that it felt like home. Often owners have the "good" stuff locked away, so since we like to cook virtually all of our meals in our temporary home, we usually we end up buying things to make our stay more enjoyable - kitchen knives, cutting boards, plastic wrap, condiments - even in one instance a coffee press! - but here, everything was here. Every time someone was looking for something, we would find it...up to and including an avocado tool! Ernie's approach carried through to the furniture, including the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in - comparable to our (expensive) bed at home...so close I'm not sure which I prefer.

Adding to that, the overall experience from contact, through booking, through checkout was absolutely smooth. Ernie and his team are cordial throughout, and their caring about wanting you to have a great experience.

I highly recommend Ernie's townhouse and we are planning on going back to it ourselves some time soon!

Excellent Mauna Lani Accommodations and Amenities

Our stay at Ernie's townhouse villa in the Fairways at Mauna Lani was very comfortable and enjoyable. From booking to departure, all things went smoothly. This modern 2 bedroom unit is very well equipped with quality furnishings, appliances, and kitchenware. The Tempur-Pedic beds make for a restful sleep. Outdoor living is a pleasure with a spacious lanai and built in barbeque grill. The rental includes access to the nearby Mauna Lani Beach Club which has an excellent swimming and snorkeling beach and includes a full service restaurant, watersports rental shop, and scuba diving shop. The Villa is also equipped with beach chairs, snorkel gear and coolers to use at any of the other nearby beach or park locations. This Fairways unit offers good value for quality accommodations in a top notch luxury resort community. I highly recommend Ernie's townhouse for your next Big Island Kohala coast vacation. Amazing Townhouse at Fairways in Mauna Lani ! We LOVED it!

Our stay was incredible! I would rate this place 6 Stars! My wife and I were traveling with our children and the accommodations were perfect. The unit is very well decorated and is outfitted with extremely nice furnishings. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. Brand new appliances. We definitely felt that this was home away from home. Both bathrooms were incredibly nice and the entire townhouse was extremely clean and tidy. The private patio was a perfect place for sipping some morning coffee. All the extra beach gear was awesome! We used pretty much everything. Boogie boards, beach chairs, etc... The unit is in a great location. Probably about 1.5 miles to the closest private beach club with a restaurant. There are so many beaches to choose from in the area, we went to almost every one of them and the weather was amazing during our entire stay. The private community in general is very upscale and beautiful. Overall our entire family could not have been happier with our stay at Ernie and Rosemary Townhouse. We'd love to come back next year! I highly recommend it!!! Thank you.

Beautiful accommodation in great location

The Condo at Fairways was very comfortable and had everything we needed for six nights stay. The Condo is in excellent condition within beautiful gardens and was very quiet and was a wonderful home for our family. The Fairways also has a lovely pool. We made use of the boogie boards, fins and beach chairs which were in the garage. The house was extremely well stocked with cooking equipment and utensils as well as incidental items such as ziplock bags for packing sandwiches. The beach club pass gave us access to some of the best snorkeling in the area. The accommodation is also close to other excellent beaches such as Hapuna and Beach 69. Food and snorkeling shops and good restaurants are nearby - you could walk or it is a 5 minute drive. The various Kona tours and the airport are only a 30 minute drive away. Thanks for a great stay, we would love to come back and we hope to send some more travelers your way.

A most comfortable vacation

We enjoyed our stay at your house a lot. We liked everything about it. The location, the convenient access to the beach club. That beach is a gem by the way, we enjoyed it at any time of day, the sunsets there are amazing, to say nothing of the snorkeling.

We loved how well stocked you are. You thought of everything: beach accessories, kitchen utensils, grill, all of excelent quality. The beds are super comfortable, everyting was spotless clean. I just couldn't have asked for anything else.
