Great place to stay for a great price. We did not need to rent a car due to the bus stopping right outside of the condominiums. Breath taking views from the balcony which we enjoyed throughout our duration of our vacation. We highly recommend this place.

                                                      IRENE O.

                                                      enjoyed everything

Noisest beach part in the entire Hotel Zone!

                                                      Thomas S.

First off, Jenna has been very good at communicating and offered us to move, but there was no other alternatives available last minute so we were stuck in planet noise for 5 weeks. We did get a partial refund in the end.

The good part: The apartment itself is small but newly refurbished and nice looking. Great bathroom as well. Good size fridge with freezer. The balcony has great view directly on the beach and Cleaning service is good.

                                                      The bad parts:

The blind is very see through so its very bright in the morning. There are two AC units on the balcony, so if the neighbor uses their ac you cant use the balcony at all because of the noise and the heat spurring out. Totally idiotic as you have no control over it.

The beach is nice but they have only a few beach chairs at the property who you share with the Cancun plaza guests (same facilities).

But then there is the noise. From everywhere! We travel a lot and have been to Cancun many times, but this is the single most noisy place we have ever been to! The walls and especially roof+floors are very thin without any sound proofing, so you hear everything from the apartment above. Especially if they move some chairs or anything, its like they are in your apartment. Also, they were doing a lot of construction and fixing in other apartments so a lot of noise from this as well.

The real hell is the Neighbor Hotel BAir At 10 o clock every single day they set up their speakers and play loud music all day! So loud that the speakers cant cope and making distortion noise.

If you stay here for a few days it might be ok, but not for a long stay. Same music every day A mix of Salsa, Mexican and then mostly 70’s to 90’s pop and rock and they only have a few CDs so they play the same music over and over again. They play until sundown or even at night if there is an event or party.

The same goes for the beach, you can not escape the music, so basically the beach is useless if you want to relax and listen to the Ocean and relax. We just started to walk further up or down the beach to escape the music, but then you are in front of other hotels beaches and no sunbeds. It would be better to stay at a cheaper place that’s not on the beach as the Balcony and the Beach in front are more or less useless except at night.

We complained to owners and Bel air, but they said they had permission for this madness, so they didn’t care.

If you stay here for a few days it might be ok if you dont mind loud Music all day

                                                      Can't beat the value

                                                      Seth L.Salem, Utah

Honestly, for the price you can't beat it. The beach access is amazing, the pool is great. We had only a few small gripes like the pool restaurant and bar not accepting cards, but those paled in comparison to the overall experience. Graciela was responsive and the room was great! We will definitely be returning.

                                                      Great Location

                                                      Brian M.Rhode Island, United States

Has everything you need for a relaxing vacation right there. The Beach is awesome and a quick bus ride to restaurants. I would definitly stay there again.

Ok, but could have used wifi.

                                                      Angela M.

This was my second time staying at Cancun Plaza. Last year I had a great time in a larger condo downstairs from this one so maybe my expectations were too high. I was under the impression that when the property said it had wifi that the actual room had wifi. When I arrived, I checked in with the manager that I didn't know I had to find. If I didn't have a friend with internet access, I would have been lost. The manager thought I was paying cash at the time of my arrival. I had already arranged with the owner a Paypal transaction, but that hadn't been communicated with the manager. I logged into the manager's room wifi to find the paypal receipt to prove that I already paid because I wasn't comfortable carrying cash while traveling. I'm not sure who would actually do that. When I asked the manager about my room's wifi, she said it was CENTRAL wifi, but it should work in the room. I told her it didn't. She told me to talk to the owner. I messaged the owner. The owner told me it should be working. I told her it wasn't. She told me to talk to the manager. I lot of round about without any resolution. I gave up. I realized why I always saw people in the plaza on their phones and laptops. It's because that's the only area the wifi works. Honestly...I would have paid a little extra and been fine with it if there was a router in the room. I was not able to keep up with work or school while i was away. The cleaning service was inconsistent. I scheduled 3 days. I got 2 cleanings on the days I didn't want them on. I said don't worry about the 2nd since it was Friday and I was leaving on Saturday and they didn't understand and came in and cleaned while i was on the beach. This is more of a Cancun Plaza thing, but I was not happy with how the condo resteraunt refused my visa card multiple times because their card machine was "broken". I purposely didn't bring a lot of cash with me, so it put me in a position where I had to beg for them to take my card so I could eat and drink or I would just have to go to the grocery store since they wanted American money more than my visa card so they could charge me more. :-/ The shower in the room needed some shield so the water didn't get all over the floor. The positives about the stay was that it was oceanfront. I liked waking up to the ocean. And the bathroom was upgraded compared to the room and the bed without fitted sheets. I was disappointed with the stay and lack of wifi, but the weather and ocean made it ok.
