Why Sarah Hoag chose West Olive
Passed down for generations and held close to our hearts. Seeing it you will fall in love with it and the one of a kind site. Travelers from all over have told us the view is unmatched.
What makes this Cottage unique
the most magnificent Lake Michigan view imaginable, enjoyed from both the porch, living room, and master bedroom; family friendly, easy beach access, only 38 steps down. Cottage is out on a dune promontory. It commands a unique private, panoramic view due to its proximity to the lake, much closer than surrounding homes due to it's being grandfathered in, originally built before dune set back laws went in effect. It makes the most of the view with an 18' deck outlook for sunsets, just 20 ft from the sliding door, and a grassy lawn

We truly enjoyed staying here. The home was clean and very comfortable. We spent almost all our time out on the fabulous deck when not on the beach and in the water. The lilacs were in bloom which adds to the beauty. I have a bad back but the bed was very comfortable which has not been the case with other rentals we have done on the lake. What a pleasure to get a good nights sleep. Would love to stay here again.
If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with an amazing view, this is the place! I was there for a girls weekend with friends from out of state and we all LOVED it. The owner was wonderful to work with! Beds were very comfortable, the house was equipped with everything we needed, and, did I mention the view?
Charming and Peaceful
Lovely, classic home. Location was outstanding! Stairs were perfect! Owners were a delight to work with! Beach was beautiful and unique, every single day!
My family and I LOVED this charming older cottage situated on a bluff over looking Lake Michigan! We spent a great deal of our time sitting on the tree covered deck in front of the cottage watching the waves crash on the shore as well as marveling at many beautiful sunsets. There is a clean private beach in front of the cottage at the bottom of 38 stairs that we enjoyed taking walks down, swimming in the lake and just "chilling" on the adirondack chairs on the shoreline. The cottage has a bank of windows on two sides from which you can see Lake Michigan at all times. We appreciated that the bedrooms each had their own bathrooms. The cottage is clean and has that cottage feel you want when you take a vacation. I would definitely recommend this cottage to my family and friends. It has a million dollar view of the lake!
YOU CAPTURED THE ESSENCE OF THE COTTAGE BEAUTIFULLY. THANK YOU
ideally located between Holland and Grand Haven, with easy access to both, in an area of cottage owners, with acreage and a wooded entrance, with a 100 ft wide private beach and dunes.
