Looking for a comfortable place to stay on your vacation to southern Utah? Want to be close to both Zion and Bryce National Parks? Ponderosa Pointe is located midway between both parks, making it an easy 45 minute trip to both. Our clean, cozy log cabin nestled in a grove of ponderosa pines and overlooking a grassy meadow is the perfect place to relax after hiking in the parks. The large deck is a great place to enjoy the cool mountain air, listen to the birds sing, and wait for the stars to light up the night sky.
If you choose to eat in, you will be happy cooking in our well stocked kitchen, or grilling on the deck. If you want a 'camping' experience, you will love sitting around the campfire roasting hot dogs and marshmallows! Todd's Country Store is just a short hike away and is also home to a great farmers market and BBQ in the summer months.
In addition to the new leather sofas and 55 inch flat panel TV in the living room, there are 3 comfortable bedrooms upstairs as well as a full bathroom and washer and dryer.
The basement is outfitted with a Foosball table, satellite TV and DVD player. There is also a large bedroom and a second full bathroom as well.

We chose this property because it is a great cabin in a great location! The cabin is beautiful inside and the log walls and beams make it fun and unique. We purchased the vacant lot next door as well to ensure the feeling of privacy and to give our guests plenty of space.
Elk Ridge Estates is located midway between Zion and Bryce National Parks making it a short trip to both. The roads in the neighborhood are chip sealed, eliminating the dust that you find in mountain neighborhoods. The roads are plowed in the wintertime making the cabin accessible all year 'round. Ponderosa Pointe is located on an over sized perimeter lot which gives you a feeling of privacy, and a beautiful view of the meadow and mountains.
"It is a nice house with everything you need. You have thought on every detail. There was nothing that we missed. Great to be here. We took a lot of pictures from the house and surrounding to show to our friends and family at home. We have had a great time here."
We came to Utah from Ohio. I had visited Bryce and Zion about 35 years ago while I was a Geology student. When I suggested this trip to my oldest son, he jumped into the planning phase. He wanted a cabin that was about midway between Bryce and Zion. Our final selection came down to four cabins, and we picked this one due to reasonable price and pictures.
First impression is that the cabin was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked with every pot, pan, spice, and kitchen tool you will need. I would recommend this cabin and location to anyone coming to visit this part of Utah. Very nice touch that the owner left a hand-written note welcoming us to his cabin.
We alternated parks each day and took world-class hikes at both locations. Zion - Observation Point and Angel's Landing. Bryce - Fairyland Loop and Navajo and Queens Garden. In the evenings, we'd sit on the deck and watch 6-12 mule deer arrive. Finally, we'd build a fire in the fire ring (plenty of wood provided) and watch as the amazing Utah sky filled up with stars. WOW, what a trip we had!
The house was immaculate and comfortable. It was stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The decor was wonderful. The views from the house were beautiful. It is centrally located for trips to Zion, Bryce, and a day trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I would reserve this home again without hesitation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ponderosa Pointe was beautiful and felt like home.
We enjoyed our stay so much! The house was gorgeous, clean and well stocked. The drive to Zion and Bryce was roughly an hour in either direction. We didn't mind it at all. We highly recommend this cabin. We would go back in a heartbeat!
My wife, two of our kids (ages 17 and 19), and I stayed there for three nights. It was a great place to stay after hiking the National Parks during the day. It rained two of the nights we were there so we hung out on the covered porch, grilled and watched the wildlife. The interior was welcoming, comfortable and spacious. We ate all our breakfasts and dinners there - lots of room and everything we needed. Slept great on the comfy beds and in the quiet neighborhood. The pre-arrival tips provided regarding shopping etc. were extremely helpful. The welcoming batch of cookies were much appreciated. We can't say enough positive things about the place and owner. We definitely would stay there again - highly recommended! (Besides the National Parks hikes we hiked Kanarraville Falls Hike just outside of Zion. It was one of the best hikes we ever did. Just bring some really good water shoes and be ready to hike in the water. The first 1.25 miles are a bit boring on the dirt road, but after that - incredible!)
This was the perfect home for us, nestled between Bryce and Zion, which we explored as much as possible. The house was well stocked with the basics -- something that is often not the case with rentals. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the sun and watching the wild life.
