Great experience. Top notch home. Lots to do. Ample room-had 8 adults and a baby. Would recommend to anyone.
Perfect setting in a very nice cabin. The owner answered all of our questions prior to arrival. Everything was excellent. I would highly recommend this property and I look forward to returning.
Our first contact with Jenny set the positive tone for the whole weekend. She quickly responded to all emails and texts. And the house exceeded our expectations.
This property is well located and marvelous for a large group. The large kitchen made it so easy for many hands to prepare and serve meals for our group of 19 (split between two houses.) The double oven, cooktop, microwave, and all the pots and pans and serviceware were indispensable. There was plenty of storage for the provisions we brought with us. The deck was provided seating and views of the forest and river. The beds are comfortable and the common areas cozy and well appointed. We were particularly impressed with the luxurious downstairs suite.
The location on the pass, riverfront property, and access to hiking/biking/waterfalls/river sport/and even hot springs wowed our guests who had come from the Midwest, Texas, Washington, and Oregon. Though only there for a couple of days, many of us hiked to Tamolich, sometimes called the Blue Pool. Those that stayed behind sat in the meadow by the river, taking advantage of the camp chairs and firewood provided or spent some time relaxing in the great room beside the indoor fireplace.
This versatile property would work well for several couples or smaller groups from 6 - 10 with beds for everyone. I would stay here again if the opportunity came again. Stay here.
What a wonderful house. Better than you could ever imagine. The house has everything you could ever ask for. The kitchen is well stocked, the rooms are comfortable. There is plenty of room for a large group and it still didn't feel crowded. We loved gathering around the large, 10 person dining room table and looking out at the river. The view is amazing. Washer and dryer in the house, very convenient. The owners were a pleasure to deal with, we will absolutely be coming back to this home. It is the best we have ever rented through VRBO.
From start to finish our stay was perfect. Jenny was available via email and SMS, usually instantly. The price was fair for the amenities. Read on:
Our family reunion was well served by this spacious house in a beautiful location. Whether it was sitting by the river, by the fireplace, visiting around the island in the kitchen, or relaxing in the TV room, this property had it all. We had everything necessary to prepare meals for 19 in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with large refrigerator and double ovens. Lots of storage, too. The wrap around deck and lower meadow with fire ring were very popular, especially with the s'mores crowd. Camp chairs and lots of firewood were provided. Beds were comfortable and plentiful. Bathrooms were clean and well supplied. And the downstairs suite was so sumptuous, spacious, and luxurious!
For the small things we forgot (and for those who needed gas), the Vida store is close by. The location was also a great launching pad for waterfall viewing, hiking/biking, and general exploration of the picturesque McKenzie River pass area. Half our group (ages 20 - 70+) hiked to Tamolich (Blue Pool) one day, well worth the effort. (Bring sunscreen, water, and a camera!)
We had guests from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Texas, Washington State, and Oregon. To a person, everyone raved at the accommodations and location. 5 star rating on this property is well deserved.
Our rental experience was fantastic from the first prompt and polite response to our inquiry right through to checkout. Everything was as advertised. The location of this house on the McKenzie River was idyllic and the house accommodated our group of 14 with ease. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Extra blankets (for our Southern contingent) were easy to find; towels were abundant, and everything we needed was just where we thought to look for it. The kitchen was very well equipped and we were able to host a double birthday celebration with ease. The kids found games for indoors and out while the adults relaxed in the well placed Adirondack chairs. All in all, it was a perfect (albeit too short) week. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Located about 40 miles east of Eugene, you will find this beautiful river house located right on the McKenzie River. Step out onto the deck and watch rafters and fisherman go by on the river. You can go white water rafting, golfing at the wonderful nearby Tokatee golf course, Ranked 'One of the best in Oregon', fishing, hiking, boating at the several nearby lakes, go to a Duck game, or just relax and listen to the sound of the river on the deck. Sisters and Bend are about 1 hour away. Eugene 30 minutes
