Welcome back is a contemporary beachside home, nestled in beautiful Lyons Cove. The home is 2200 square feet of modern comfort with 4 spacious vaulted ceiling bedrooms. There are two king beds, one queen and one twin bed. There are two full bathrooms one equipped with a steam room/rain shower the other with a six-foot soaker tub. The home's west coast design features include large Douglas fir beams, and a custom river rock fireplace. The vaulted entry and large skylights bathe in light the open plan modern kitchen and living/dining areas. Take a few steps down from the patio for a dip in the ocean right at your doorstep or take a few steps more and bask on one of the coasts loveliest little pebble beaches. A short stroll across the pebble beach takes you to Coopers Green park.
Recreational opportunities abound for almost everyone right from your doorstep. Whether it is simply a stroll along the beach, a short walk to the historic Halfmoon Bay store, or more vigorous hiking or mountain biking on the extensive network of forest trails a few hundred feet from your back door. Boaters and kayakers appreciate the ready water access of our home.
Watch the eagles, herons and humming birds hover by you as you enjoy one of our three decks or oceanside patio. From the master bedroom’s cozy window seat watch diving birds as they forage on the seabed
A den off the living room has a 46” LCD TV and is equipped with a DVD and VCR players along with a collection of books tapes and DVD’s available for your enjoyment
Perched right on the water in Lyons cove, you will enjoy the sunsets over Thormanby Island, views of Welcome pass, and beyond to Vancouver island and its mountains.
The home’s southwest exposure bathes you in sunlight from morning to night, while the covered deck and rear garden deck afford quiet shade in the heat of a summer’s day.
My wife and I are semi retired and currently living in Point Grey in Vancouver. We had enjoyed the beautiful location with the old cottage on it for many years. In 2008 it was time to rebuild. Our new home takes full advantage of the properties ideal location.
Its views, its proximity to the ocean, the lovely adjacent swimming beach and the abundance of wildlife all around make it the ideal place to relax and restore oneself.
It looks just like the photo...its the nicest rental in Halfmoon Bay, spacious, comfortable, well built. It feels private in spite of being near to other homes. We quickly got into a rhythm there and didnt want to leave. We have rented quite a few different accomodations on the Sunshine Coast over the years and this one is our favourite.
I would definitely come back again to this beautiful home!! The rooms were all very spacious and the beds are very comfortable. There's a steam shower upstairs that everyone was loving. The one room with the single bed could of had 2 to sleep 8 (since the rooms are so large!) I came here just for a short weekend getaway from the city with 7 adults. The kitchen was large and well equipped with things all very easy to find. You can walk down to the pebbled beach when the tide goes out and it's very nice. The house is equipped with a stereo that can be connected to your phone thru an aux wire or a wireless bluetooth speaker in the living room which is good for setting your own mood with music. The only problem we had was that the cleaning service that was done prior to our arrival. We don't wear shoes in our homes so we were all barefoot once we got into the house, we then noticed our feet were black after walking around for a little bit. Other than that, I really thank the host for allowing us to have a nice getaway.
If you're looking for a relaxed week away for the city- this is the place. Everything was perfect. The first thing that comes to mind is the view from the master suite we could have spent the day in bed just watching the tide come and go. What a view!!! and there is so much more. The owner treated us like old friends and his home is immaculate. The quintessential Sunshine Coast experience.
We were 4 adults and 2 kids staying over easter. The home was beautiful, clean, and well laid out. The owners live part time here, so all the comforts of home are here too. The view from the kitchen windows and master bedroom are idyllic. Easy access to the water and a beach (not sandy, but easy-on-the-feet pebbles), as well as a little park for the kids to run around in. The corner store is a 5 minute bike ride away and has good hours. Sechelt is a great area for mountain bikers and we had good space to securely lock all our bikes outside. Our hosts gave detailed directions on how to get there and how to use everything. Richard was easily accessible (which was great when I forgot what the key code was) and our damage deposit was returned in a timely manner. We had a great weekend!
