Fully equipped with fire pit and fishing boat with captain at an additional, but very fair price. You can see Whales. Whale Sharks, turtles, dolphins, manta rays, and sail fish, almost all the time. I am a retired calif. attorney and avid sports- person. This has been our family deep sea fishing spot for 3 generations.
Let us share it with you! Hemingway called the location 'God's Aquarium'. I agree.
tracee purchased this bungalow in 1989
We are ON THE BEACH--have the best spot in the American camp b/c we have the Mesquite tree--and you can rent a fully equipped, AWESOME fishing boat w/ captain, while staying.
BEACHFRONT--22' Maco equipped available at $350.00/day with captain, gas, poles, live bait when available and jigs, yo yo's--everything.
Had a great time at Tracee's fish camp May 12-15, 2016. Can't beat the location right on the water. fun and friendly neighbors on either side with lots of local knowledge of the area and the fishing. Tracee's local caretakers,, Francisco and Marta, take good care of the property and the guests. And Francisco is a terrific boat/fishing skipper. We flew down from San Diego in a C-210, and Francisco gave us rides both ways to San Lucas Cove. Not having wheels, it was great to have access to The quads for going to the market, etc. in town a few minutes away. We would visit here again.
This little piece of heaven, a short ride from the charming old town of Santa Rosalia and directly on the Sea of Cortez, is the place your fisherman dad would have had if he had indeed been a 'fisherman dad'.
In a trailer park steps from the Sea of Cortez this reworked/refined trailer is great for watching life on the water, birds in the trees. The little shell covered beach is steps from a pair of pink sunset viewing chairs. In fact everything is brightly colored in this rather modern trailer attached to a large, airy tropical style room. This is "glamping" (glamorous camping) at it's best, everything clean and well maintained. The care takers are there to help you with anything you might need, the neighbors are gracious and generous. The kitchen is completely outfitted for real cooking. Great place, communicative, informative host. Real lives lived here, no ikea for miles.
Thanks Tracee for letting us stay at your beach paradise. We loved feeling like we were sleeping outside while being very comfortable on that nice bed looking out the window and seeing all the stars. Waking up to the sound of the birds and watching them all feeding was really entertaining. The neighbors were so welcoming and fun. You truly have a slice of paradise there. The views were beautiful and we got some nice paddle boarding and kayaking in. We were treated to fresh caught Yellowtail (lunchtime sashimi!!) a few days too so it sounded like the fishing was very good.
This is a nice pop-out trailer with full bedroom and then another room, living area and kitchen, built on--right on the beach. You could throw a stone from the window into the water. the fishing was great and we caught Yellowtail mostly. We saw dolphin and giant tortoise and also caught a lot of bass and cabrilla and sierra. The camp where the house is located is full of Americans and they all have cocktail parties in the p.m. and there is a restaurant open Fri-Sunday and people jam and sing and it is a blast!
Our home sits about 10 miles North of Punta Chiavata, right on the beach. It is a large 1 bedroom pop-out trailer on the beach in an American community, with a built on bedroom and kitchen and family room-type area--made with local hardwood and Palapa-style materials. So basically picture a trailer with a screened in porch, kitchen, and bedroom addition--sitting right on the beach.
A 22 foot Maco, is available, with Captain, and all deep sea gear and guide resources for an additional charge.
