Come experience Bolton Valley like a local! Stay in our unique, fun mountain home.....kick back...relax. This 4-6 person chalet is high up a mountain road in a unique neighborhood of ski homes. The home is situated at a higher elevation than the start of all Bolton Valley's 5 lift lines (which means from the house you can ski down to the lifts or hike up 20 minutes to top for first tracks - although you'll have to race our neighbors ;)).
Our clean duplex home is fully designed for snow-sport enthusiast while also considering the importance of après-ski comfort and fun. Our space is perfect for families or couples looking for convenience and privacy, not often found in the humdrum of a hotel room. You will have WiFi, satellite TV with HBO, linens, full kitchen, fireplace, and new washer and dryer, all to yourself.
Bolton Valley is well known for amazing back-country skiing as well as being the area's family friendly ski destination. The Resort is the closest ski resort to Burlington (30 minutes) and equal distance to Montpelier and Stowe. You would only be 13 miles away from Waterbury; a hotspot for après-ski food, wine and beer. Even closer, there is always the tavern at the resort (short walk or ski), or the Black Bear Inn which has fine dining (less than short walk or ski away).
Whether you are looking for solitude or adventure we can provide you with information on anything in the area. Please don't hesitate to contact us for questions or recommendations.

Originally from Norway, snow and mountains run in my blood so don't be surprised if you find an Igloo somewhere on the property! I know Vermont and the local area very well and am happy to share my knowledge and ensure you find whatever you are looking for.
Lars Gange purchased this chalet in 2013
This mountain house is a dream come true. Everyday feels like a vacation.
Stunning views, great community of locals and guests, and the high elevation makes you feel alive.
Very helpful, accommodating, and understanding. The cabin is beautiful and the location is great. I would highly recommend staying, and hope to be back myself in the future!
This was a lovely place to spend the week leading up to Christmas. The home is spacious and welcoming and has all we could have asked for. The skiing was great. The listing advertises ski in/ski out, however, we found we had to drive to the base lodge (3 min away) each day for the skiing. There apparently are trails within ski in/out distance, however, they were not readily accessible during our stay. Overall, we had a great trip and would encourage anyone else to visit here.
Very cute and cozy space. Lars was an awesome host and left us feeling like we could relax and not think about work. Would certainly come back! As a bonus, had a awesome hot tub heated by firewood!
I was attending a wedding this fall at Bolton and needed a place to stay. Lars' condo was more than I could have hoped for. The bedrooms were all extremely cozy. While I wasn't at Bolton during ski season I could imagine how great this condo could be for the weekend/week. There were plenty of amenities above and beyond what I had expected (tea/coffee). Thanks Lars for the accommodations.
We needed to go to a wedding in Huntington,Vt. and found Lars' place in Bolten Valley. The house was immediately warm and inviting on our arrival. Our 5 yr. old granddaughter commandeered the downstairs quarters for herself and her parents, where she discovered Disney movies and games that kept her happy. We will definitely keep this place in mind if we are in this area again. Thank you Lars for a homey experience. P.S. May need to come back in the winter for a ski trip.
I rented this place in the late summer for an event at Bolton Valley. Lars was the first of other VRBO renters in the area to respond quickly, in person, and with a friendly and worry-free attitude. The house was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beds were all made upon arrival, and all linens (quality, I may add) were provided. It's very spacious and roomy. They have a flatscreen TV with Direct TV, strong wi-fi, and a gas fireplace that starts at the touch of a button! It was a stones through from the resort, and very easy to find. Lars checked in during our stay to see if there was anything that we needed, and was nothing short of a pleasure to deal with. We are already planning a trip back next summer if we can. If you are looking for a quiet, private, hassle-free Vermont getaway with Bolton Valley at your doorstep, this is the place to go. Thank you Lars, for making this one of the nicest, easiest vacations ever!
The house is wonderfully furnished, perfect for our family of four. The fireplace was so cozy we hardly wanted to leave the living room! When we finally did get out, we didn't have to travel far, as the ski lodge is just a short walk away.
As chance would have it, on the day we arrived, a huge freak ice storm hit the area, making it difficult to drive around in my car. Lars saved the day and made our vacation truly enjoyable through his generosity and hospitality. He drove us up to the house in his car the first night and even brought us hot water the next morning. He really put our minds at ease during the trip. We hope to return soon!
