Vacasa - Vacation Rentals Made Easy:
Professionally managed and cleaned homes
Local assistance 24/7 for emergencies
Secure INSTANT booking
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
This property is in good location of you ski at Northstar or.would like to be near Nevada state line or the lake. The property is about 25 minutes drive from Squaw Valley. Don't expect luxury accommodation. Otherwise it's in good condiltion with 2 balconies and very quiet. Safeway supermarket is 1 mile away and is open 24/7. Recommend it.
This was a great location for our quick weekend ski trip! Perfect for a family of 4. Only wish there was a better selection of TV channels to choose from and the kitchen microwave just needs to be updated. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
Very nice condo and close to Kings Beach/Tahoe activities. Stayed here to go skiing at Northstar, which was a great proximity. Condo clean and comfortable. Not well stocked in terms of kitchen staples; paper towels, napkins, foil, and basic cooking condiments. Have stayed other VRBO places and have found the kitchen far more stocked than this place. TV remotes also very hard to figure out to get regular TV going, sounds stupid but tenant guidelines would be great. Fortunately, my 20 year old son showed up to help with this. Nice condo!
We had a great weekend in the condo. The living room was nice and cozy and we enjoyed the fireplace and the large television with the Roku. However, we had few problems with the house. The dishwasher didn't work. It would start and then stop 5 minutes later. We couldn't keep it going and had to wash many dishes by hand. The heating was also very inconsistent in the house; hot in the upstairs living room but very cold in the bedroom at night. Finally, the water in the apartment didn't get warm. After my husband and I each took a cold shower the first night (after a cold day of skiing!), we called Vacasa first thing the next morning and left a message. After skiing all day, we returned to the house at 5pm to the same water issue. We called Vacasa again and they had no record of our first call. They told us we were not allowed to touch the water heater on our own but they couldn't say when there would be a repair man available. We never heard back from them at all. This place is convenient and cozy and could be a very nice condo if it were taken better care of.
Home was clean at arrival.
We liked the stack of firewood on the deck.
Kitchen was nice but missed a water pitcher. Some basic condiments (herbs, oil) would have been a plus as well - the nearby Safeway has everything though.
Used the place for ski-weekend and proximity to Northstar was fantastic. I would rent the place again.
Our family stayed at the property over the 2015 Xmas holiday and it was everything as advertised. Great location, close to restaurants and grocery stores. We spent most of our days skiing and enjoyed the evenings in this cozy condo which was well appointed for a family of four. Only one negative comment would be the twin beds in the loft which would slide around on the box springs when the kids where sleeping.
