About Amy Cofield

My name is Amy, and my husband and I own three cabins in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg Area. We live in Alabama, and love to visit Tennessee whenever possible. I'm extremely organized with all of my rentals, and I take every step in making sure all of my guests feel comfortable and enjoy their stay at our cabin. I'm very prompt to respond to all emails, calls, and texts. We will take care of your visit from start to finish!

Amy Cofield purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Amy Cofield chose Gatlinburg

This beautiful Chalet was our first acquisition, and we fell in love with the gorgeous year-round views of Mt. LeConte. The floor plan of this property is well-thought. It has a spacious kitchen and living room. The bedrooms are both large and have their own bathroom all on the main level. Since this property sleeps 6, we liked that it also has a half bath upstairs.

We knew location is everything, and this cabinis in the heart of everything that Gatlinburg has to offer. Half mile from Ober Mountain and ski slopes. 2 miles to downtown Gatlinburg strip. Just a few minutes away from all that Pigeon Forge has to offer, including Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, and plenty more!

What makes this cabin unique

All Awesome View guests are eligible to enjoy the privileges of Chalet Village Owner's Club, which includes the use of all 3 convenient Chalet Village Clubhouses with pools, baby pools, pool tables, and two tennis courts, complete with snack bars to enjoy a full day of fun. These are all located on Ski Mountain, pools are open May - September and are only available to Chalet Village Guests.

Excellent Experience

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was just what it's name states...awesome!! It has excellent accommodations, an awesome view of the Smoky Mountains, and it's conveniently located close to downtown Gatlinburg and maybe a 25 minute drive from Pigeon Forge. It's right in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, where there's all kinds of hiking and nature to see. It's within a half to one hour of different outdoor experiences. We chose zip lining and kayaking, but there's white water rafting, atv rental, cavern tours, and so much more.

Stop at a grocery store on the way in - one that's at least a half hour out of Gatlinburg or you'll pay a lot for your groceries - and you'll be able to make your own meals through the week since the cabin has all you need for that. Be sure to include condiments, laundry detergent, non-liquid dishwasher soap, toilet paper and paper towels. The housekeeping service that preps the cabin for you provides one of each item, but you're apt to run out before your week is over. Bring your own shampoo and soap for the shower as well.

Know this, the roads and driveway to the cabin are very steep. You'll want to be using L2 through the neighborhood and L1 up the driveway on your gearshift. The first part of the driveway is shared with the neighbor; then there's a sharp turn up to Awesome View. I found that as long as I was in L1 and gassed it all the way without braking until parked in front of the cabin, that it was manageable. There's a slight spot you can turn into under the upper deck of the cabin that allows for you to back into the parking spot so that you don't have to back out of the driveway the next time you venture out.

Pleasant stay

  • 5 of 5

Spent a week at the property in mid June with family of 4. House was very clean and well maintained. Location was good - maybe 8 minute drive into town or so (because of all the curves/hills). Kitchen was well stocked and appliances in good shape. Having to go outside for the downstairs room (ping pong table and washer/dryer) was a bit strange but not an issue. Hot tub appeared pretty new - not the best I've been in (lack of jets) but again, very clean and well maintained. Excellent view.

We did use the community pool a few times - very nice place - and only about 1 mile from the house. Didn't have much interaction with the owner before or during our stay as there was no need as instructions were very clear.

We would definitely consider staying here again if we are back in the area.

Awesome View was Awesome

  • 5 of 5

This is the second cabin we have rented from Amy and Kyle and their attention to detail is second to none. The cabin had everything you could possibly want. Very clean and well decorated, just as their other, larger cabin was. Even a good assortment of DVDs to choose from and great WiFi. The beds are very comfortable and as each bedroom has it's own bathroom, great for two couples, as well as lots of room for a family. The view is awesome. Enjoyed our visit back to the Smokies.

Incredible view!!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time staying in the Smoky mountains and we loved it!! The view was incredible and we enjoyed every minute of it. The decks were great to see the picturesque Mt. Le Conte. This was our first time so I do have to say the driveway was a little steep and scary but it looked like a lot of cabins were like that. It was an adventure filled with many fond memories and looking forward to the return!!

Beautiful View

  • 5 of 5

The view from the cabin was worth the trip itself. The cabin was very clean and the decorations really made it feel warm. Amazing place to stay and will most likely stay there again if I can. The owners are very quick to respond to any emails and answer any concerns. They made the experience feel like I was staying at a family members cabin. Thanks for the memories that I'll never forget.

Everything it says and more

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is fantastic! The views are amazing, the cabin is nicely decorated, the beds are comfortable, and it is very well stocked. If you have small children there is a high chair, stool, and baby gate which made are packing less and that is a big bonus when traveling with children! This is in a great location just about 5 mins from town! We saw bears on the property on two different days! The owner has been wonderful to answer all my question! The only two dislikes we had was the driveway is kind of steep and the turn in is a little harder to make in a bigger vechile, but by the first day we figured it all out and it has become a lot easier. The other issue was the laundry room and hot tub is downstairs and you have to go outside and walk down the stairs to get to them. These two things would defiantly not stop us from renting this cabin in the future. We would highly recommend this cabin!m
