Born and raised a Montanan, near Hysham. Ranched there until 2001. Now commute between Los Angeles, Atlanta and Red Lodge. Bought this place to be able to come home to from the mayhem of the world I travel
Red Lodge Reservations purchased this apartment in 2010
Have always wanted a place in Red Lodge, since childhood. Have done many events here in Red Lodge and always found it was a friendly quiet community. This is where I come home to when it is all said and done. Property sits overlooking the town, with some great mountain views to the south.
Great community!!! Can sit out in the driveway, with a crackling fire going, overlooking the town, faintly hearing the music down at the Snowcreek Saloon, the rambling of Rock Creek and maybe an occasional dog barking in the distance- will make you drift away.
We will definitely come back to this place. It took a few days for us to really understand how well outfitted the apartment is, there is a fully stocked kitchen with crock pots and ample glasses. The living room is perfect, it has drink tables near each chair, a lot of thought went into how the Drift is laid out. There is a variety of seating for the evening, ranging from futon for the kids, easy boy pairs, full lounge sofa… the living room would be very comfortable for a large group to stretch their legs. Once we realized the immense beauty, be it hiking or skiing, that was within 5 minutes of the Drift, we suddenly understood what a prime location we were in. The hot tub became our post-hike wind-down, and could easily be a post-ski-day respite. This place is stocked with towels, brand new shower liner, big counter spaces… it was so well equipped. Downtown Broadway was an easy 4 minute walk, and Red Lodge has a great selection of local fare to upscale wine bar. We were so busy hiking and exploring and chilling that we never even touched the pool table and lights and music downstairs - you could be completely snowed in at the Drift and have everything at your fingertips to cook, play, soak… This is a real gem. There is a staircase to the lockable front door, so youngin's and 55+ welcome once you climb the enclosed staircase. It's worth the 15 some-odd steps (for those of you who have many levels of mobility in your group). Fantastic place, very accommodating!
