1, 2, or 3 BR Villa - Pool, Amazing Views, trade winds, convenient to beaches
About Pam Lach
Pam and Dave Lach have been coming to St. John for over 15 years. Their son discovered the island when on a graduation trip and fell in love. Within a year, they visited the island and also fell in love. The family enjoyed the sunshine, cool breezes, breath-taking views everywhere, as well the flowers, wildlife (especially the night sounds) and great attitudes of all the people. We started shopping almost immediately but it took us 4 years and many trips to find Someday Isle. Someday Isle has a special Caribbean charm. The views from around the property are mesmerizing. The villa is tastefully decorated and well maintained. The property has an excellent track record and testimonials of delighting our guests. Come see for yourself! We're guessing you will really enjoy the villa and everything the island has to offer! Although, we were not on the island for the hurricane, we have spent the much of the past 11 months going back and forth to repair any hurricane damage and take this opportunity to upgrade the property. Our love for our home and the island is evident the moment you step through the gate.
Why Pam Lach chose Estate Carolina
Ernest Hemingway once said, “Every man's life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived that distinguish one man from another.” During our first trip to St. John, USVI we fell in love with the island. And like Ernest Hemingway, we knew what the island had to offer was unique and we wanted those details in how we lived our life. After several trips where we rented villas, and sailed the BVI’s, we simply had a yearning for more. More beautiful white beaches, more eco-hikes, more excellent snorkeling and swimming, more quality time as we grow young together. St. John quickly became the destination that our family wanted to visit again and again. The island offered something unique for each of us and after every trip our satisfaction compelled us to look for a home. After an exhaustive search, we found and fell in love with Someday Isle. We selected Someday Isle for many reasons including the magnificent views, it's spiritual zen environment and the cooling trade winds. Whether it is just the two of us or our extended family and friends, the villa layout at Someday Isle creates a relaxing and enjoyable experience. One of our favorite times is when we share an evening meal on the upper patio and laugh our hearts out when we play some games. Our preference was always to be on the Coral Bay side of the island because of it's casual feel and friendly community. Location was also key and Someday Isle provides easy and convenient access to so many great beaches and restaurants. St. John is small but has so much to offer. There is no way you can experience it all in one trip. It is a tropical paradise that after just one visit can easily become part of your psyche and spirit and you will be yearning to come back again and again.
What makes this Villa unique
We think Someday Isle has a perfect blend of quiet Coral Bay serenity and classic island style and charm. It's architectural design and decorator's touch adds to your comfort. With natural wood beamed ceilings and creative artistic touches in the showers and upper deck, it is more than a place to set your head at night. The villa will become part of your experience. Someday Isle has a big villa feel in a cozy, yet expandable footprint. The gardens which are framed with island stone walls include banana trees, palms, orchids, bougainvillea, bromeliads, ferns, and much more. They create a perfect feeding ground for the many hummingbirds and sugar birds that visit throughout the day. Regardless of which month you visit there is always something in bloom in the garden.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Pool with a view!
My family of 4 had a great time at Someday Isle. The location is very convenient to Coral Bay restaurants and just a short drive to some of the most beautiful beaches on the planet. The view from the patio and pool is amazing, providing the perfect backdrop to unwind after a day of snorkeling with turtles, sting rays, and so many fish! This is a great villa for families with teens or up to 3 adult couples. I especially enjoyed having my morning coffee on the top deck, watching the sunrise over Coral Bay. It was hard to leave the beach each day, but made somewhat easier knowing there was a refreshing pool just waiting for us at the villa!
Great place above Coral Bay
This is a great home with a view that is unbeatable on St. John USVI. lots of spread-out space, great bedrooms and living areas, easy to get to on the island and on the side that we love.
No the the owner and property manager were fantastic to deal with. Both were very responsive and helpful; the property manager even immediately replacing a blender we found wasn’t working. Such a joy to deal with good folks.
I highly recommend this place to stay in STJ.
David, It was great having you as our guests. Thank you for selecting Someday Isle for your tropical getaway. Come back soon.
Amazing house and view
This house was spectacular with beautifully kept grounds and a killer view. The pool was a great added perk but honestly didn’t even need it with all the beautiful beaches we went to everyday. This house was very peaceful with the winds blowing throughout and the tranquil sounds of the tree frogs at night. It’s around other homes but you wouldn’t even know it bc of all the trees and flora. Perfect week spent at “someday isle”.
Jessica, I am so glad you had a perfect week. We were thrilled to host you and your group. Thank you for sending me the pic of the full moon. I am so glad you had a chance to experience it. The views are spectacular whether you are watching the sunrise, or the clouds from a sun set, or moon sets. Each day you have a new experience. We hope to see you again in the future.
This is my fifth stay on St. John and this was a divine place to stay and I would stay here again.
The views are spectacular no matter the time of day, though my favorite night on the patio was during the full moon. The view was magical that evening.
The villa is absolutely immaculate. It is very well kept, as well as, well appointed. We were able to find everything we needed throughout the trip.
The grounds match the villa in the feel and maintenance . We enjoyed the pool and patio everyday.
June, I am touched by your review. We do put our heart and soul into Someday Isle and are delighted that you and your family felt the energy and love that we put into it.
Your trip sounded simply magical. Thank you for selecting Someday Isle and please know that our home is open for you again in the future.
Someday Isle was a magical retreat for our family--from little one to adults. In spite of wondering if our car could get us up the hill (!), once we were arrived, we felt so lucky to be on the hill, looking out at beautiful Coral Bay. The home, the salt water pool on the deck, the gardens and guest house made the place truly special. It was lovely to use the house as a retreat, as well as a base to explore the island. We found so many wonderful places, including a different beach each day, along with diving, snorkeling, hiking and delicious restaurants very close to the house.
When we traveled around the the island, the effects of Irma could still be felt. Yet, the work that our hosts put into rebuilding Someday Isle, was a true act of love and commitment to the island and their home. (The post hurricane pictures were just mind boggling compared to the house now.) It was a real gift to be there.
Our hosts are very familiar with the island, with great suggestions regarding activities, destinations, markets and restaurants.
Finally, a very, very special part of our time on the island was scheduling an outdoor massage at the house. That experience was an absolute highlight!
Someday Isle is truly a piece of heaven and we would absolutely recommend staying there!
Madeline, We are touched by your kind words regarding St. John's recovery and Someday Isle. You planned the perfect vacation and the massage at the villa sounded so wonderful. We do have alot of love and passion for St. John; the history, culture, the people and the National Park. The view of the mountain from the house is extra special when you see a rainbow after a rain. I hope you got to experience that. The view across Coral Bay and the BVIs is amazing; however as you learned a jeep can handle the hill and back roads with more power and maneuverability. We would love to host you again. Come back soon!
Pretty Home with Lovely View
This is a pretty home, lushly landscaped, with lovely views from all three main living areas. It would be ideal for 3 couples, 2 couples/2 singles (1 br has two single beds) or a family with teenagers (the 3 separate living quarters are private and comfortable, all with balconies to enjoy the breeze and views, but they are physically separated, and by quite a few concrete steps, so a child must be old enough to be left unsupervised at bedtime). For couples it would be an ideal setup, however, as everyone would have plenty of privacy and yet be close enough to share the pool and grill. We enjoyed grilling and dining outside when we did not eat in town.
The house is a very short drive to several beautiful beaches, such as Maho, Cinnamon Bay and Trunk Bay. The beaches are very sheltered, picturesque, not crowded and easily accessible. Beautiful sand and water with limited undertow and a pleasant breeze.
As the house is perched on a hill, and perhaps because it was December, it was quite windy and cool outside by the pool, so we chose mostly to go to the beach. The pool is not large but it is extremely nice, with great views, plenty of deck furniture and pretty greenery all round. The weather and pool definitely could have been much warmer for us at the house— we had wanted to relax there more than were able —maybe it usually is or is warmer in other months, but we still had a great stay.
The owners and their management team are extremely pleasant. The management company, Antares, helped set up taxi service from the airport in St. Thomas, gave very good instructions as far as logistics, and even helped provision the house for us before our arrival. This was most appreciated, as we were arriving on December 23rd and were unsure what would be available during the holiday.
Be aware that driving in this area is not for the faint of heart, as the roads are extremely steep and windy and traffic drives on the left. A Jeep is a must. If one is not comfortable with this staying here would be a bit tricky, something to consider. There were taxis arriving at the beaches, so that might be an option as well, but not sure.
The locals we met were helpful and pleasant.
There is still some hurricane damage in the area but unless you need your surroundings to be 100 percent without flaws, it will not negatively affect your stay in any way. The island is beautiful, extremely peaceful, and not overly commercialized. The pace is slow but that is a good thing!
Thank you for a thoughtful review. You too, were delightful to work with and we would welcome you in our home again. My only regret is that you did not experience typical St. John weather. I was aware that the temperatures were seasonably cold and the Christmas winds were stronger than ever. I am glad you experienced the uniqueness of the island. We hope the trade winds will once again return you and your family to our little paradise.
