We stayed at the property for a weekend and it was fantastic. Elizabeth was very helpful and responsive to all our needs. We would book this property again in a heartbeat!

graduation weekend

  • 5 of 5

We rented this wonderful log cabin for Bard college graduation. Everything about the house was great. A wonderful kitchen, fully stocked with pots, dishes, and utensils, sitting areas, bedrooms, and the deck and outside property were all lovely. The sunsets beautiful. Since the weekend was incredibly hot, it was great the house is air conditioned. Elizabeth was very responsive and answered our few questions quickly. The only thing missing is a swimming pool! A few extra chairs for table seating would have been helpful. Overall a fabulous weekend and a wonderful spot for R & R.

Seclusion and privacy but convenient

  • 5 of 5

Eight of us (4 Adults - 4 older kids) spent a delightful weekend enjoying the peacefulness of this secluded property but were please to find it very convenient to so many of the sights this historical area has to offer. The kitchen is nicely equipped unusually well stock and easy to work in. The mostly open first floor plan facing the lake was picturesque. Unfortunately (?) it was too warm for a fire but we could well imagine how cozy a cool Fall weekend here would be with a fire burning and candles on the table (OK maybe without the kids). The facilities were very clean and for what little we needed the rental agents were very responsive and I felt they would do more if we had needed. There is so much to do in this area it would have been nice to have more time. Maybe next year.

Home Away From Home

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for the weekend to attend a friend's wedding. The place is beautiful - very cozy...feels like home away from home. A perfect getaway from the hustle & bustle of city living.

The reason why I only gave this a 4-star rating is because, when I was reading the overview, it stated "...swim in the pond on those hot summer days..." We got so excited that there is a pond in the property where you can swim & have an awesome time, but this is definitely NOT the case. The pond is a breading ground for mosquitoes & definitely not suitable for swimming.

Other than that, our stay was awesome! I will definitely come back again :)

Perfect family vacation home.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this picture perfect cabin for our son's graduation from Marist College. The cabin is located on a pristine property with perfectly manicured gardens and a large green yard, that was wonderful for our granddaughter to run and play. We even had the opportunity to see a snapping turtle laying eggs! The cabin is very cozy and decorated with lovely and whimsical pieces of art. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms are very spacious. The kitchen is very well stocked and comfortable for cooking. There is a gas barbecue on the porch that we utilized. The property is well located and close to downtown Rhinebeck and other towns perfect for sightseeing. There was no cell phone service, but wifi worked perfectly. There are two television sets in the house. One located in a large and comfortable family room area. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this cabin. We hope to visit again!

A perfect reunion spot!!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a long weekend at this lovely property and it exceeded our expectations! Elizabeth was an extremely flexible and responsive property manager. The place was very clean with plenty of space for us, three grown kids, their significant others, and a grandchild. The kitchen was very well equipped which allowed us to enjoy relaxed, home-cooked meals inside and on the deck, overlooking the pond. The back yard is delightful! Rhinebeck village and FDR's home/museum were fun outings and there was more we'd like to do in the area. We hope to return here!!
