About the property

Gorgeous mountain views with private back patio!

Our newly constructed 1100 sq. ft. ranch home is set on 3 beautiful acres near the Saguaro National Monument West. The contemporary design dramatically contrasts the rugged terrain of the hillside. The open floor plan and abundance of large windows allows for beautiful views in all directions. Our back patio offers privacy and gorgeous scenery with an opportunity to see occasional visitors such as javelina, hawks, and mule deer. Fully stocked kitchen, dining area, living room, outdoor grill, private patio and large bedroom make the perfect setting for a great escape. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with a bench seat and a window which allows for natural light and a spectacular view up the side of the mountain. Easy access to I-10 with a 20-25 minute drive to downtown Tucson. Many interesting venues such as Old Tucson Studios, Arizona Sonora Desert Museum are close by. If hiking, biking or just relaxing is your pleasure, then this is the place for you.

About Don or Ingrid

Don and Ingrid are from the Midwest and have enjoyed vacationing in Tucson for the last 10 years and decided to build in the Tucson Mountains. Having rented homes ourselves in many varied locales across the US and abroad, we wanted to include some of the favorite things we've seen into this home.

Don or Ingrid purchased this house in 2013

Why Don or Ingrid chose Rancho Del Cerro

The home is set into a hillside and therefore offered us a very quiet and private setting. We felt that Tucson was the perfect balance of big city attractions and rugged rural beauty.

Truly beautiful vacation home in convenient, location for city and outdoors activities. Hosts helpful and responsive. Layout, furnishings and amenities all ideal, with lovely space and views to enjoy relaxing outside too. Really couldn't have asked for more. Photos and description don't do this vacation rental justice. Next visit to Tucson, we will book this without even looking at alternatives.

Very Relaxing - Again!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here two years ago and loved it. We came back this year for another week. Nothing much has changed. Still a great rental and the owners/management are very easy to deal with and quick to respond. We love the location – it is remote but you can get anywhere you want. We really looked forward to coming back each evening to watch the sun go down. It was quite warm this time so we did not do as much hiking as we would have liked. We did do the Tanque Verde Falls trail one day which was nice and the Sonoran Desert museum is not to be missed. We also golfed a few times - lots of nice golf courses around! We met some friends one day and drove down to Tubac - many shops and galleries - worth the drive if you have time. We also found Dragoon Brewery which is very close to the Safeway if you like craft beer do not miss this one! I am sure we will be back to Tucson again and we will definitely stay at this rental.

What a pleasure to stay here again. Well stocked kitchen, quiet and near Saguaro National Park, comfy king sized bed and owners who are very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Epic views day and night!

  • 5 of 5

We visit Tucson annually in February on business. This trip we decided to stay away from the hectic pace of down town. We couldn't have been more pleased with Don & Ingrid's property (15 minutes from Tucson City Center)! The home is tastefully decorated, clean, and well appointed.

It was a great place to unwind following a busy day of work. Everywhere you look the views are amazing! We hope to be back next year for more of the same!

Thank you Don & Ingrid :)
