Rancho Del Cerro House Rental Photos and Description

Gorgeous mountain views with private back patio!

Our newly constructed 1100 sq. ft. ranch home is set on 3 beautiful acres near the Saguaro National Monument West. The contemporary design dramatically contrasts the rugged terrain of the hillside. The open floor plan and abundance of large windows allows for beautiful views in all directions. Our back patio offers privacy and gorgeous scenery with an opportunity to see occasional visitors such as javelina, hawks, and mule deer. Fully stocked kitchen, dining area, living room, outdoor grill, private patio and large bedroom make the perfect setting for a great escape. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with a bench seat and a window which allows for natural light and a spectacular view up the side of the mountain. Easy access to I-10 with a 20-25 minute drive to downtown Tucson. Many interesting venues such as Old Tucson Studios, Arizona Sonora Desert Museum are close by. If hiking, biking or just relaxing is your pleasure, then this is the place for you.

About Don or Ingrid

Don and Ingrid are from the Midwest and have enjoyed vacationing in Tucson for the last 10 years and decided to build in the Tucson Mountains. Having rented homes ourselves in many varied locales across the US and abroad, we wanted to include some of the favorite things we've seen into this home.

Don or Ingrid purchased this house in 2013

Why Don or Ingrid chose Tucson

The home is set into a hillside and therefore offered us a very quiet and private setting. We felt that Tucson was the perfect balance of big city attractions and rugged rural beauty.

Amazing

What a beautiful home! Surrounding were breathtaking and the house was perfect! Everything you need is so close by but you still feel quite remote. The house was well equipped and an easy drive to the airport. Hope to visit again!

We loved the home it was just perfect for two

  • 5 of 5

We loved Don and Ingrid's home it was just big enough for the two of us. We spent most of the time just sitting outside and enjoying the surroundings.

Loved all the Cactus around us and listening to the birds it was very peaceful. If we return to Tucson we would love to stay there again.

Desert Get Away

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely home! It is a perfect couple's retreat. The house is extremely comfortable and immaculately clean. It was also better equipped than many of the VRBO homes we have used in the past, especially in the kitchen. The location provides wonderful privacy, and we really appreciated a morning spent on the patio, enjoying the cacti and the partridges. We will return.

Saguaro and Solitude

  • 5 of 5

We recently returned from a two week stay at this lovely home that is surrounded by saguaro cactus and desert life. Although Don & Ingrid couldn't have been responsible for the outstanding weather we experienced, they certainly offered a wonderful and relaxing place to "hang our hats" for several days. This property was exactly as it was described in the VRBO information! It was quiet, comfortable and very clean! It was our first time to use VRBO, and we were especially pleased with this home! We found it convenient to the interstate and shopping, but isolated enough to listen to the birds. Two of the favorite attractions for us were the Sonoran Desert Museum and Old Tucson. There are so many amazing things to see and do in the Tucson area, and this Tucson Mountain home is perfect!

An outstanding rental

  • 5 of 5

We have rented all over the world and this was one of the best. The home is a perfect size for two people, master with king bed and lots of storage, kitchen/DR, and living room with TV and Dish DVR. It is comfortable and uncluttered, and the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking in, with spices, oils, wraps, etc. The owners have a system whereby guests mark the purchase date of anything they leave behind, so you know how fresh that item in the fridge is. The house is fairly new and everything worked well. One minor maintenance need was addressed within a few hours by the very competent property manager. Wi-Fi was fast and the bed was very comfortable.

The house is located in the northwest corner of Tucson, west of I-10 and within 5 minutes of two major trailheads, so it is an excellent location for hikers. From the house you have nice views of the mountains; few views of neighbors since the house is on a fairly large piece of property. Supermarkets, Wal-Mart and Costco are 10-15 minutes away.

Quiet, beautiful and scenic!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently enjoyed a week in this lovely home. Built near Saguaro West national forest with a trailhead a mile from the house. Great trail hikes for all abilities. The hike to Wasson Peak was the most difficult but we'll worth the views. Sitting on the front porch we enjoyed morning and afternoon sun. The sunsets were gorgeous. The home is very clean and had everything we needed. The drive to Sabino Canyon was about 30 minutes and everything else was 15 to 20 minutes from the house. Great dining options in the mall and downtown area. Beautiful and peaceful. Just what we wanted.
