I have been with vrbo since 2013 but because of illness in the family we were not listed as active and that is why no activitiy. This is a B&B that is within 1/2 mile of fishing, hunting, golf, canoeing, biking, hiking, gambling, flying, and full spa.
this is a CLEAN B&B and has its own private entrance and deck, AND IS SOUND PROOFED and which is a great place to have breakfast.
The Owners also have a pie shoppe and fruit stand on property.
The owner's have a couple of put-put golf holes you can play on plus Horse shoes and a frisbe cage I did run this in 03-04-05 and have a quest book with great comments.
This unit sleep only 2
We are retired and enjoy people, that is why we have the rentals and the Pie Stand.
We are adding things every year so people will enjoy staying with us.
We pride ourselves on being very CLEAN AND NEAT.
My husband loves to draw maps of the area and letting you know of local attractions that are fun to do and see
Alfred purchased this house in 1995
We are close to the things that make living up north neat.
CLEAN, QUITE AND COMFORTABLE
WE ARE CLOSE TO ALL VACATION ACTIVITY (1 MILE )BUT AFTER A BUSY DAY WE ARE A PLACE OF PEACE AND QUITE
My husband and I just returned from a long weekend at this B&B, the pictures of the property are very accurate and the cleanliness of our accommodations were superior. Alfred was a very friendly and accommodating host, the surroundings are very quiet and peaceful. The location is close to Crystal Mountain, Frankfort and Traverse City, and Alfred bakes fresh pies every day. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable get away, will definitely stay there again when back in that area. Jane/Toledo, OH
We stayed at Alfred's house for a weekend and were delighted by how great the place is. It is much more spacious and nice than it is on the pictures. Very neat and clean. Alfred was such a gracious host, he helped us with directions at 2.30 am (!) as we couldn't make it earlier to the house and gave us some great tips about things to do in the area. We purchased his home made apple and cherry pies for our morning breakfasts, they were delicious. We would definitely stay at Alfred's place again!
We really wanted some peace and quiet, and this place had it! Al is super nice, and wants to ensure you have everything you may need. He drew us a map to a bunch of local "secrets", and we did them all. The gorge is stunning- don't miss out on that one. Room is perfect for two, super clean and private with lots of property surrounding the rental. Location is great too- very convenient to hiking, biking, canoeing/kayaking, and lots of restaurant choices about 15 minutes away. If you need your tv or internet fix, he has that too, but you have that at home, right? GO for a hike, look at the stars, enjoy a drink on the patio, unplug and enjoy!
This one is a winner and we will be back!! The location was nice for many areas of travel/activities, we could ride our bikes over to Crystal mountain trails and Lake Michigan was only a 20 minute drive. The room is super clean and comfortable, with a nice patio for morning coffee and relaxing.
The host is delightful and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable!
This is a good one!
This location is only 0.9 mile from Crystal Mountain ski resort! Very clean room with everything you want. Separate entry from the main house, you have privacy and your own quiet world if you want. The technology is also available, a huge flat TV with plenty of programs and of course Wi-Fi that you can use if you have to check something online. Al is always available and happy to assist you if you need something. Ask him about Norma’s pies, you won’t regret!
Only one frustration: our stay was too short! We plan to come back during the winter. :)
My husband and I had enjoyed our stay with the hosts Norma and Al. They made us feel right at home. We enjoyed our morning coffe out on our deck and a glass of wine watching the sunsets. The beach isn't that far away, making it easy to shop, go out to dinner or go for a leisurely canoe ride. The owners have a pie company called "Norma's Pies". At the end of our stay, we bought fresh homemade pies, jelly and chocolate chip cookies to take home with us. What a great memory. We look forward to returning next summer and eating some of "Norma's Pies" and going bird watching, hiking and kayaking! I would highly recommend this B&B for anyone looking for a great "Get Away".
I would highly recommend downtown Frankfort as a day of shopping. I also give hand drawn maps of local interest, a mystery spot where your car rolls up hill, a deep ravine that you must see to believe and a Metor that is used for a head stone and i will show where this is mentioned in books
