We couldn't have been happier with our stay here. We had three families each with 2 children under the age of 6. The combination of bunk beds for the kids and King size beds for the grown ups was perfect. The house itself is beautiful and has all the amenities you would want in a luxury mountain home. I am going to share a couple things that worked for us and made the trip an unforgettable one!
Transportation - we had originally planned on renting a car(s) but decided against it. I think this was one of our best ideas. The house is a 5 minute walk from Old Town Park City (where all of the shopping and dining is). We took a private bus from the airport to the house. From there we used Uber (infrequently) and the free public bus to get to the ski resorts, run errands, and go out to eat. The bus stop is right in front of the house and drops you right at the base of both Deer Valley and Park City so there are no long walks in ski gear. Park City also has a unique Uber Ski option that provides vehicles with ski racks to take you to Alta and Snowbird if you want.
Meals - with young children dining out can be a little hectic so we opted to have a private chef (based on the recommendation of a local) cook at the house. He prepared meals for the kids and then gourmet feasts for the adults (Anders Backlin, 602-540-1775). The quality and service were outstanding and the price was very reasonable.
Childcare - we used a service called Guardian Angel (www.guardianangelbaby.com) to help with the kids when the adults ate out. They were great. The sitters were experienced and came prepared to entertain toddlers.
After searching for a couple months to find a rental home for our family vacation, we found this lovely place. We had been thinking about simply choosing an area and renting multiple condos/homes but after discovering this home, we knew it was the right rental.
The home was EXACTLY what we wanted. Our family was so delighted we chose it for our Utah vacation. Since all of us "kids" are now grown and married, it was wonderful that each couple was able to have their own bedroom (and often times their own bedroom) in the house. I was a bit worried about having all of us in the same house, but with the home being a narrow, multi-level home, I felt we had rented more of a min-hotel than a house. I even turned to my husband partway through the weekend and said "I don't know if I've ever felt so comfortable and at home in a vacation rental."
I highly recommend this place & am hoping my family will rent it again in the future!
House was really amazing!!! Met everyone’s needs (all 13 of us ages 16 yrs to 60 yrs) more than expected. The house is beautifully laid out. Beds were extremely comfortable. The elevator was a great asset, especially for some with hip issues but also coping with the altitude. Great tandem two car garage with entrance to the lowest level and access to the elevator. The location is great for family who wanted to separate and explore town without using a car. We could walk to the rehearsal dinner and those who rose early and wanted to bring breakfast back from the town could walk without difficulty. We also went to the free concert at Deer Valley and did the chairlift on Friday. Some family walked from the house there and back after the event. All in all, ideally located!!!! We can imagine it would be perfect for ski season... we come most frequently in winter.
If we were to offer things for improvement, the water took time to heat for showers and face washing. Ran into the property manager the last day and he informed us house has tankless water heater and they take more time to get water hot. (As drought-stricken Californians, we hated to waste water!) The railing issues were discussed with Ali but certainly needs to be repaired. A suggestion might be, if you redo the railing, that you also consider adding slats/railing along the entire sides so nothing slides through to the drainage area or into the air conditioner at the end of the slope and that the top railing be more substantial.
Most impressive has been your responsiveness to our inquires and Ali’s in-town immediate availability. So great to have both and indicates Equity Residences attends to their renters. Thank you for the bottle of champagne celebrating the bride and groom... lovely gesture.
Our family of 14 spent a fabulous week in this spacious house and never felt cramped. The kitchen is equipped with everything a cook/chef would need to make a scrumptious meal but close enough to town to walk for a quick bite out. We absolutely loved the hot tub and pool table!! Fun amenities for the tweens in the group. Very responsive property manager! Perfect location to town and across the mountain for hiking adventures. Can't wait to come back for another vacation!
We booked this home for a family reunion LAST MINUTE due to another agency dropping the ball. We could not have been happier. The home was in perfect condition and provided everything a home away from home should. You can't find a better location and better view in PC. We'll be back. Thank you!
This large gorgeous property has jaw dropping views of Park City, not to mention the convenient proximity of the adorable downtown and the lifts! Had such a fantastic stay for five days with a large group of friends, with plenty of space to spread out and every amenity one could need. Whether lounging by one of the many fireplaces, or relaxing under the stars in the oversized Jacuzzi, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Our group took turns cooking dinners in the gourmet kitchen while others played pool in the upstairs game-room. Every day was an epic day at the mountain, some of us snowboarding and some of us skiing. The childcare and group ski lessons for our young children worked out perfectly, again with the ease and convenience of the location of this well appointed house. It is obvious there was a lot of thought put into the furnishings, because it really did feel like home. I'm looking forward to returning again next year.
