Our 1st floor studio apartment boasts panoramic views to the sea at the front, and over olive groves towards the mountains from the side. It sleeps two comfortably in a twin/double bed and the potential to sleep a further two people (youngsters) on mattresses on an upper mezzanine level (not suitable for very young children). This is accessed by a ladder. There is also a sofa bed suitable for one person in the lounge area. There is a separate wash/shower room and a kitchenette. The balcony/terrace has it's own bbq. It is partly covered by a roof giving the opportunity to sunbathe privately one side or sit at the table in the shade on the other side.

We have recently added a choice of English (restricted between September and March due to new satellite orbit) or French satellite television with DVD player and free wi-fi internet access.

The self-catering bungalow, apartment and mobile homes are adjacent to olive groves and woodland, and yet only a 5 minute (3km) drive from the sandy beaches and marina village/town of L'Ampolla which sits on the edge of the fascinating wetland conservation area, the Ebro Delta. It is here where the 'paella' rice is grown and where pink flamingos have made their home. The 2 comfortable, well appointed mobile homes are situated in their own private garden area, which includes a shared barbecue, separate vehicle access and adjacent pool. Our well equipped first floor studio apartment with its own private terrace and barbecue, boasts lovely views to the Mediterranean and Delta to the front and over seemingly endless olive groves to the mountains at the rear. The 3 bedroom bungalow/chalet has a spacious lounge/diner opening onto its own terrace, BBQ and private garden area. We have horses, goats, chickens and other small animals and birds. All accommodations have Wi-Fi access.

There are stairs up to the apartment and there is a carport for a car. Also we can offer the facility of a washing machine if you require it. The apartment is on a smallholding with a variety of small animals including two horses, one goat Georgina, one sheep called Geraldine,chickens, cats, a dog called Poppy, Guinea pigs and a large bird aviary. The outdoor pool (available between May and September) is 7m x 3.5m in size and 1.2m in depth and shared with our other guests

Finca Gamundi in L'Ampolla

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Lovely atmosphere, very relaxed and the Uptons were a super couple who went out of their way to welcome us and they gave us all sorts of ideas for places to visit.

We very much hope to be going back again next year.

We visited this property over 5 years ago when both our children were under 4, We loved it then but last July was even better. We were able to relax on the balcony looking out on the swimming pool watching the children spent hours enjoying themselves in the swimming pool. The children are still talking about the horse treking through the olive groves and carob trees (chocolate trees) surrounding the property, feeding the guinea pigs and collecting eggs from the chickens. Both John and Carol the owners create a wonderful family friendly atmosphere and provided us with a wealth of information on local beaches villages etc. We are looking forward to going back in 2011 for our 4th visit.

Très sympathique, dans un cadre atypique un couple et deux enfants avons passé une superbe semaine!

Une superbe semaine, plusieurs logements disponible sur place, nous avons eu l'appartement avec mezzanine pour les enfants.

La terrasse est bien protégé et équipé d'un barbecue.

Les propriétaires sont adorables, ils respectent l'intimité mais sont disponibles si besoin.

Les enfants ont pu jouer avec les animaux et profiter de la piscine

The still unspoilt marina & fishing village/town of L'Ampolla on the Costa Daurada, with its small family run shops and restaurants, truly enjoys the best of all worlds. With its own mainline train station and just minutes from the coastal AP-7 motorway, it affords easy access to Barcelona, the cultural heartbeat of Catalonia and Valencia, capital of orange grove country. The diversity of the area ranges from the Ebro river and Delta which is one of Europe's largest bird sanctuaries to Universal Studios Port Aventura, Spain’s own answer to Disney world and two Aqua parks, from the vibrant 24 hour tourist hot-spot that is Salou to the fascinating local historic towns and villages such as Tortosa, Miravet and Tarragona and from the scenic mountain walks and drives featuring hilltop churches and farms, down through rustic olive, carob and almond groves to the white sandy beaches and secret coves that look out over the clear blue Mediterranean. Watersports are available on the Delta.

Other Activities: Bird watching, various water sports including canoeing on the river Ebro. A new 18 hole 'pitch and putt', 3 par golf course and golf driving range
