It is situated on a huge lot overlooking the massive Caloosahatchee river and expansive bridge connecting Cape Coral to Ft Myers. It has 80 ft of seawall right on the river and its own private heated pool and dock.

It has been recently remodeled and boasts many upgraded amenities as well as water / pool views from almost every room. In addition, there is a large sun deck overlooking both the pool and dock, perfect for sunbathing or dining al fresco while watching the sunset light up the water.

The kitchen has Corian countertops, with all new stainless steel appliances, including a gourmet wall oven and cooktop. There is plenty of counter / bar space for buffet style meals and entertaining. In addition, there is a separate dining area overlooking the pool and river.

Right off the kitchen is pub style bar area also overlooking the pool and river which has bar furniture that can used indoors or out. There is even a wine fridge next to the bar where you can bring and store your own vintage or bubbly.

The river and pool can be seen from all living areas of the house. The living room has comfy sofas, one of which pulls out for guests not wishing to sleep together. There are 3 Flat Screen TVs, cable, and wifi for indoor entertainment. You can watch the game or entertain in the bar area, while the kids watch movies in the living room, without being interrupted.

The patio area by the pool includes lounge chairs for relaxing as well as wicker chairs and a sitting area for congregating.

There is a large sundeck on the bank of the river with plenty of space for relaxing or entertaining. There is a Kitchen Aid 4 burner stainless steel built in BBQ and sink for some serious grilling while enjoying those amazing views.

The dock has a 12,000 pound lift and can easily store even a very large boat, if you choose to bring or rent one. It has direct river and gulf access within easy reach of local beaches and watering holes on Sanibel Island, Ft. Myers Beach, Pine Island, Captiva, Cabbage Key, Cayo Costa, etc.

About Paul

As the owners, this is not just a rental property to us, but our second home. Our family has been using this property since we purchased it in May as our own private slice of paradise. We have spent countless weekends making family memories that will last our lifetimes. We recently decided to open it up to guests when we are not using it, but to us it is still our home. As such, you will find it is well loved and cared for and is definitely not your average rental property.

Paul purchased this house in 2013

Why Paul chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

The owners are native Floridians and have lived for 40+ years all over the state. We would be happy to provide suggestions for sightseeing and fun both within Cape Coral and beyond to other parts of Florida.

We have two school aged children so we know what it is like to travel as a family and this house is our perfect getaway. We also love to entertain so we know that the house will serve both adults and children equally well to enjoy their vacation.

What makes this house unique

What we most enjoy about this house is dining outdoors overlooking the water at sunset. The kids enjoy fishing off the dock and watching the mullet school around the dock at night. A late afternoon nap in the lounge chairs by the pool, after being out on the boat all day, is the perfect way to recharge for a fun filled evening with friends and family.

The property is better than the pictures. very well maintained. there were absolutely No disappointments. The weather was great. Views were amazing, furnishings and especially the kitchen was very well equipped. Check in and check out were easy. And yes, I did catch mangrove snapper and snook from the dock. We really did not want to leave. Not far from all the beaches, shopping, and some Great restaurants very close by. I would like to Thank the owners for letting us share a piece of their paradise. We hope to be back again.

Thank you,

Dennis jay

A tropical getaway

  • 5 of 5

We took our adult kids and our granddaughter to stay for a week at Casa Del Rio and had a wobderful time. It was a beautiful tropical getaway; "Home away from Home". The house was the perfect size for all of us and had everything we could possibly need. The pool and deck area was the perfect setting to watch sunrise each morning, which were beautiful. All of the guys spent a lot of time fishing off the dock throughout the day and evenings. Sanibel and Captiva were about an hours drive away. Definitely worth the drive! We spent most of our time at the house where we relaxed, enjoyed the large pool and grilled out almost every night. It was a perfect week!!

Fab pool, great view, very comfy

  • 4 of 5

We are just a couple and we stayed for a week, the house was very comfortable to sit and watch TV or just watch the world go by. The outside pool area was fabulous, pool was huge and the deck was enormous with loads of really comfortable furniture, we had a wonderful view of the river however the bridge was quite noisy all the time. The bedrooms were very small but the bed in the master suite was comfortable however we tried the other bedroom with the lovely view but the bed was so uncomfortable we couldn't sleep in it! There was a lot of rules and regulations and it made us frightened to relax too much in case we forgot any of the rules but the house was marvelous and I do highly recommend it.

Cape Coral is centrally located with a short drive or boat ride to a number of beaches and islands on the Gulf Coast. Sanibel and Ft. Myers Beach are just to the Southwest. The artist village of Matlacha and the Pine Island hangouts of Bookelia and St. James City are just west of Cape Coral. There are a number of unique island beaches and famous stops only accessible by boat such as Cayo Costa State park and Cabbage Key (where Jimmy Buffet allegedly wrote Cheeseburger in Paradise).
