Stephanie C purchased this house in 2010
The gorgeous view, the cozy and affordable space and the use of the lush yard.
Affordable, cozy, clean and comfortable! Petsand child friendly.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'The House on the Hill'. It was easy to find , just straight up the street from downtown. The large beautifully furnished and well equipped house with a number of individual rooms allowed our large family of adult children, including two grandchildren, to spread out and gain privacy when needed. The large open area kitchen/dining/living room made it easy for us to gather together.
Large windows provide great views of the West Kootenay Valley. The grandkids thoroughly enjoyed the back deck and yard - the trampoline was a real highlight for them.
We will certainly consider staying there again - a perfect spot for a family reunion

Cute little apt. It was just right for us and our kids. I read the description so I was prepared for no microwave. The toaster and hot plate worked great. Stephanie the owner was available for any needs and left great instructions on how to find the place.
Thanks Stephanie for the comfortable stay in the House on the Hill. It's an amazing hill with beautiful views when you step outside to take it all in. After a day exploring Ainsworth hotsprings and parts of Nelson, it was nice to come back to the little abode and enjoy one of the many DVD's that were available in the accommodation. Thanks again!
This quirky apartment was in a great spot with amazing views. We particularly appreciated the cool of the indoors on some very hot days.
We initially planned to use Nelson as a stop over on our tour across BC. However, this town and accommodation went way beyond our expectations. Ourselves and the kids loved it. The memories of sitting out side the property with a cool drink, watching the sun set behind the mountain backdrop will remain with us forever...a very special place.
The accommodation was clean and well presented. We ate in both nights and managed to cook for 4 using the hotplate. There was a larder of basic supplies such as olive oil that was really useful. Lots of hot water and towels for after long days in the mountains or at the beach- would be an ideal winter base for a range of local ski resorts and back country opportunities. Accommodated 4 adults with ease.
Three of us stayed here on a week-long mountain biking trip to Nelson. Stephanie's downstairs apartment suited us great. The space is comfortable, clean, and right up the hill from downtown with some great evening sunsets. Stephanie was an extremely gracious host, and responded quickly to all of my correspondence. Thanks!
Stephanie's place was perfect for our family. She was super friendly and helpful and her apartment was modern, clean and had everything we needed. An added bonus was her invitation to use her backyard trampoline, which our boys loved! Highly recommend this little suite for your stay in Nelson.
