Perfect Family Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We rented Hummingbird as part of our wedding weekend and the groom's family stayed here. The best feature (according to my 3y/o niece) was the tree growing right through the middle of the cabin. It was deemed the treehouse and was a favorite hangout. Being right next door to Lakeside with a small walking path between meant easy access to the wedding reception and other activities, but you were able to pop back to your room if needed/wanted. As with every cabin review I've left I want to make sure people understand how amazing Steve and his family are in making sure your vacation is the best it can be. I will never be able to say enough good things about Memory Mountain.

Our Family Christmas

  • 5 of 5

Our whole family counts down the days until we reunite at Memory Mountain . This was our third time staying there. We come together from SC, NY and Tenn. to spend a week at one of the many cabins owned by Steve and Joy Powell. Steve makes our stays very enjoyable by providing a very personal touch to our needs. The cabin (Hummingbird Lodge)was plenty big enough to meet the needs of our large family. We loved the wood fire place and the rustic surroundings.

We enjoyed the fishing at the different ponds, hiking up the mountain, cooking great family meals in the fully accessorized kitchen and then gathering around the outside fire pit to relax and enjoy each other's company. Great Time.

Thanksgiving Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Memory Mountain. Our cabin was very spacious - great kitchen area. We had 10 adults and one child. The views were beautiful. We enjoyed the fireplace, as well as a fire outside. Great hiking trails. We hope to revisit. Thank you Joy and Steve. We have wonderful memories of this Thanksgiving 2016.

A newlywed dream come true!

  • 5 of 5

We were married at Memory Mountain on Saturday and we stayed at Hummingbird with our friends (along with the family renting out the other 4 cabins.) The cabin was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed the eclectic blend of decorations and furniture. The views are amazing and the property is just more then you could ask for for a very quiet place to get away from it all. We spent most nights sitting around the fire pits enjoying and creating life long memories with our family.
