Our newly built, family-run apartment building is located in St. Peter in the Grödnertal Vallety, in a green setting on 1000 m above sea level, 3 km from the main village of St. Ulrich. A relaxing vacation is guaranteed in our stylish apartment with lawn which offers all modern comforts for 2 - 4 persons. Bus stop and bread roll delivery service. Our tourist village of Gröden and therefore also our small enterprise are member of 'Leading Mountain Resorts of the World', a network of holiday resorts that offer a superb holiday in the mountains in all seasons. Villages that are member: Vail - North America, Bariloche - South America and Queenstown - New Zealand.

Vacation off the ski runs: For those who want to spend their vacations off the ski runs, this unique winter landscape also offers cross-country skiing, snow shoe walks and winter hikes, ice climbing, tobogganing, paragliding, ski tours or romantic horse sleigh trips. 100 km of cross-country skiing trails await you; a network of 20 km by the German Skiing Association 'DSV Nordic Aktiv' as well as 6 km long toboggan run.

Hiking in a marvellous mountain scenery: Gröden and the Dolomites are part of the area with the richest flora in the Alps. The mountains, the valleys and the hills, the change in altitude in the mountains, as well as the climate influenced by the Mediterranean Sea, convert Gröden into a botanical paradise. From the valley you first cross fir, larch and Swiss pine forests, or you use one of the numerous lifts to reach the alpine pastures with their lush flower meadows. Val Gardana Card: 7 days of unlimited use of 13 lifts, as well as the bus connections from St. Peter to the mountain passes Grödner Pass and Sella Pass.

Perfect accommodation, great value for money

The house of the Rabanser family with 4 apartments is perfectly situated, some 4 km down the valley from Ortisei, in St. Peter im Tal. Me and my wife spent 8 nights in a 2-bed apartment. The apartment was spacious: kitchen/dining room of about 12 m2 (4x3), bedroom also about 12 m2 (4x3), a large balcony along both the kitchen and the bedroom (accessed from the kirchen), and a spacious bathroom (incl. shower, toilet, bidet and a sink). The kitchen, apart from all necessary crockery, the fridge and electric stove, is equipped with a microwave oven and the dishwasher. The bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer. Heating is excellent (floor type), and it is quite warm at all times, especially in the bathroom.

Another great thing is the garage and ski storage in the basement, as well as free use of all buses (skibuses and public buses) with the Val Gardena Mobil Card which we got from our landlords Daniela and Ossi Rabanser. Our car remained in the garage throughout the whole stay in Val Gardena, and the stop of the public bus (line 350) is just outside the house. The public bus to Ortisei, St. Christina and Selva passes once an hour (13 mins after the full hour according to the time schedule which is followed strictly), and we used it every day for reaching the skilifts in the valley (14 mins by bus to Ortisei, about 40 mins to Selva - we were on the lifts in Ortisei at about 8.40, and in Selva for instance at about 9.00). There is a bus once an hour also back to the house from Ortisei, St. Christina and Selva - just follow the schedule (which you will get from Daniela and Ossi, also available on and on the stops) and you won't miss it. There are numerous skibuses in Ortisei, St. Christina and Selva, as well as the skibus express line 352 running through the valley down to Ortisei, so you don't have to wait for the bus back home for long - if you are in Selva or St. Christina after skiing, you can use the skibus 352 to reach Ortisei, and wait there for the 350 bus to St. Peter im Tal.

The ski storage is also in the basement of the Rabanser house. Heaters for ski boots are also available, and every morning you get into warmed ski boots. Bread service at the house is available every morning except Sunday. Supermarkets are in Ortisei, and we used the time while waiting for the bus back home to buy what we need. We loved every minute in Val Gardena,not only for the skiing which was perfect, but mostly for the hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. Rabanser.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Das Apartment war sehr sauber, komplett und die Lage war einfach toll, die Busahlte ist am Tür. Fast jeder Tag (Sonntags nicht) könnten wir fresches Brot bestellen bei der Vermieter. Wir kommen wieder!

Rundum zum Wohlfühlen

Im Apartmenthaus Rabanser fanden wir eine sehr gepflegte, saubere Ferienwohnung vor, die praktisch und durchdacht eingerichtet ist. Die stets freundliche, herzliche und hilfsbereite Art des Vermieterehepaares rundete unseren positiven Eindruck ab, so dass wir uns von Anfang an heimisch gefühlt haben.

Die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind zwar wenige Kilometer entfernt, doch mit dem Bus (Haltestelle vor dem Haus, mit Gästekarte Nutzung kostenlos) oder PKW schnell erreichbar.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Vielen Dank an die Familie für einen wirklich schönen Aufenthalt. Die Wihnung ist absolut top gepflegt und sehr gemütlich. Wir hatten selten solch eine schöne Ferienwohnung. Sie liegt darüber hinaus sehr zentral und man ist mit dem Bus, der direkt vor der Tür hält gut im ganzen Grödnertal unterwegs und kann das Auto in der Garage lassen. Der Brötchenservice ist ein schönes Extra.

Einziger Minuspunkt ist die laute Strasse morgens und abends, wenn der Durchgangsverkehr da ist. Die Fenster sind jedoch top isoliert. Uns hat es nicht weiter gestort, dafür waren wir eben so zentral und kamen selbst auch immer gut weg.

Von daher: absolut empfehlenswert - nicht zuletzt dank der unglaublich netten Gastgeber, die für uns auch den ein oder anderen Wandertipp parat hatten.

Comfortable appartment

This place is simply perfect for relaxing days and weeks, enjoying a marvellous mountain panorama and serving as an ideal base for skiing trips and hikes. Located in the heart of the Dolomites, you can quickly reach the famous ski circuit 'Sellaronda' and at the same time you are situated in the largest skiing area of the world, the 'Superski Dolomiti', the famous paradise for skiers and snowboarder of all ages. St. Ulrich is the main village of Gröden, a leading winter and summer tourist area. Here you find the lively centre with the pedestrian area where it is great to go shopping or stroll around; here you also find numerous bars, pizzerias and restaurants offering local specialities. You can quickly and comfortably reach us by car using the Brenner Autobahn, exit Klausen, following the country road towards the Grödnertal Valley. After 14 km, turn right to St. Peter im Tal or via Waidbruck, following the country road into the Grödnertal Valley, turn left after 9 km.

Ski: The Alpine Ski World Cup takes place in Gröden on the famous Saslong. Additionally to this event, also the unique scenery in combination with the Dolomites and the modern lifts, as well as the unique Sellaronda, which allows to circuit the Sella plateau completely within one day (26 km of skiing tracks), will turn your vacation into a memorable, fantastic event. The other skiing areas are just as diverse as the Sella Ronda itself, being part of the largest ski circuit worldwide: the Dolomiti Superski. 510 connected skiing tracks await you in the ski circuit Gröden-SeiserAlm and Sella Ronda; 1220 kilometres of ski runs in the ski circuit Superski Dolomiti, as well as 84 lifts in the Gröden-Seiser Alm area; 205 lifts in the ski circuit Sella Ronda and 450 lifts in the entire Dolomiti Superski area.
