|Minimum Stay||1 - 2 nights|
Our Hotel, Lahaina Shores Beachfront Resort, is open for guests after a lovely remodel. Please come and feel the Aloha! This is, after all, the only beach front hotel location in the town of Lahaina itself. It's perfect for the traveller who gets to Maui and doesn't want to travel any more! Walk to almost everything.
Room #224," Lani Moana, Heaven by the Ocean", is located on the second floor, features stunning views of the West Maui Mountains and reflects a modern plantation decor. There is a 24 hour front desk where you check in, receive your key card, and check out when your stay is over. There is a concierge who can assist you with booking recreational activities.
Lahaina, also called West Side, has the best weather Maui has to offer. The average day here is sunny, clear and about 82 degrees. Two miles north in Ka'anapali, there is twice as much rainfall. Four miles from here in Honokawai, it rains almost every day. Eight miles from Lahaina in Kapalua, it often rains multiple times a day, on average four times the rainfall of Lahaina. Make Lahaina your tropical destination. You'll be glad you did!
The unit #224, the one I own, is air conditioned and has an in room adjustable thermostat, 47 inch flat screen, king size 'Heavenly' bed, and a beautiful lanai, (balcony) with a breakfast table and chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a full sized refrigerator, as well as a new ceramic cooktop stove with matching microwave. All cooking utensils and silverware are included, as well as a blender, toaster, and coffee maker. Four seats are available for dining inside, two at the bar and two at the dining table.
The unit was recently renovated with new artistic tile insets and beautiful granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. We installed a large walk in shower with granite turtle insets and a glass wall.
Save by eating in for breakfast, and enjoy an amazing number of dining choices for dining out within easy walking distance. Directly next door through a tropical passthrough is Betty's Beach Cafe, a direct waterfront eatery that offers a nice, inexpensive breakfast till' 2:00 P.M. Close to Betty's, is Spanky's Riptide, a friendly sports bar. Another twenty steps leads you to two, four star restaurants on the beach, including Pacific-O that features amazing fish entrees. Try Lulu's Lahaina Surf Grill near Safeway for great local food. Nalu's in Kihei for the same great local choices. For cheap, try #One Barbeque on Wainee St. and Prison Pizza on Prison St.
Don't miss Harry Troupe on guitar on Wednesday's and Friday's at Cheeseburger's on Front St. Catch the Hawaiian blessing at Fleetwoods on the rooftop at sunset. Rent a Harley on Front Street. Go on the Atlantis Submarine and go down 130 feet and see a really cool wrecked ship. it's all good fun!
Resort amenities include, but are not limited to, a large, spacious lobby, a lush oceanfront private oasis, including beautiful pool and Jacuzzi, and easy beach access less than fifty feet from the lobby. Off-street reserved parking is available ($3.50 per day) and you'll be enjoying very convenient access to Front Street Lahaina shops, restaurants, activities, theater, and live music.. You're certain to leave with a lifetime of memories. I am local, please do not be afraid to contact me for any further needs 8 A.M. to midnight, Hawaiian time.
Aloha Nui Loa!

I am a retired school teacher. I taught Second and Third Grade for most of my career. Bought land in 2003 and had my house in Lahaina built. I love my beautiful wife, Cat, motorcycles, muscle cars, Maui, and painting scenes from my life and the lives of my friends. My club, RocknRoll MC buys and collects Toys for Tots and School Tools. K Mart gives us a super deal, so we buy up all the new bicycles that need work in the warehouse, fix them, and deliver them to the shelters in Wailuku and Kahului. Big fun for us, big fun for them. It's been good making my life in retirement about motorcycles, art and giving a little help to some of Maui's coolest people...the Keikis. RocknRoll!
Pete Smith purchased this hotel in 2013
I love Lahaina Shores Beach Resort. It's a boutique hotel like you might find in San Francisco or New Orleans. It isn't a metropolis like the big Ka'anapali hotels. Everything is close. People are friendly. The air smells so fresh. It rarely rains. Baby beach is so beautiful. The hotel is old school in design, but just renovated, so everything feels traditional; but it works and it's so attractive. The pool and the hot tub are just right. The lobby is comfortable and inviting. More fun is just steps away.
It's one mile from my house, so I can take care of my guests easily. The property is just stupid beautiful and yet very affordable to buy, and to rent. And rain bows... and my friends from the mainland line up to visit me....and...and
It's close to Lulus restaurant (near Safeway). About 1.5 miles away in Cannery Mall. It's famous for many things, including its owner Ron Panzo, who helps everyone in his island wide Ohana. They serve a Banana Foster Desert with local vanilla ice cream, hot and caramelized, bananas, whipped cream and other killa good stuff, so addictive it should be illegal, Awesome Baby Back Ribs, and a crazy good Lava Burger. All at prices so reasonable you won't even believe it. It's not fast food, so be prepared to have drink and wait while everything is prepared fresh. We wen grind Lulu's...Was so Ono! Also live music some nights.
The room is neat and cozy, pete is really helpful and replied my messages really fast.
We had a great stay at Lahaina Shores! We appreciated being walking distance from the shops, restaurants, and piers in Lahaina. The pool and beachfront were lovely - always lots of room to spread out and enjoy the surroundings. The room was as described with a good layout. The bathroom was especially spacious and we enjoyed the large shower! The room was clean and everything was in great shape. We didn't use the kitchen very much, but it seemed well-equipped to cook meals with a good selection of dishes and cookware. There were lots of towels + beach chairs, boogie boards, board games... really anything you might want! We were very comfortable throughout our stay and thought the condo was a great value for the area! Would definitely return if in Maui again and recommend to family/friends.
This was the perfect condo for my husband and I to stay in. Very clean. Loved that we could walk to downtown Lahaina. Beautiful beach. We can't wait to come again!
My wife and I needed some extra room to accommodate my 5 brothers and sisters and their spouses who came to Maui for a family reunion. This room was perfect for our needs. It was updated and clean and the bed was very comfortable. And the price was right. We didn't use any of the condo facilities as we were busy with our family activities, but, from past experience of staying here, they are very nice. The location is within easy walking distance of all that Lahaina has to offer and it is right on the beach. We will definitely stay here again if the need arises.
When enjoyed our stay at Pete's place. It was nice to sit on the deck and watch the sunrise over the mountains as you drink your coffee. It was just a few blocks from all the action on Front Street. The resort has a nice pool, hot tub, and beach to enjoy. Parking your vehicle is easy at the resort and very cheap. I would stay there again when we come back to Maui.
This property was well located and close to most everything that we wanted to do!!! Most of which was in walking distance!!! Pete the owner was awesome!!! Loved our stay and definitely will come back to this specific place!!! Aloha!!!
Even a little Hawaiian history is available with self guided tours of historic sites within walking distance and free access to the original Lahaina courthouse displays. Lahaina was the summer gathering place for the royal family, so areas that they frequented are identified with signage and fun to discover and read about. This starts just three blocks from the hotel. An ocean going teaching vessel, totally made in the traditional Hawaiian style, is housed just one half block from the hotel and is free to view. It is called the Mokole'ala. You can even volunteer to work on it if you like. The Jodo Mission is a mile and a half from the hotel. It is the largest Buddist Temple in Maui and features beautiful, traditional Japansese architecture and Bonn festivals in June and a New Year’s festival as well, with dancing lions and dragons. The bronze Buddha is one of the largest outside of Asia.
Just past the Misson is Baby Beach where local people love to come with their children because the water is so warm and shallow. The reef protects the swimmers from big waves. You will be welcomed there if you come. Just remember to stay off the submerged rocks and coral when wading, so animals will not be damaged.
The harbor is three blocks away with active fishing boats offloading their catches, dinner cruise yachts coming and going, and the singing lines of sail boats serenading as you walk the promenade and choose your activity for the day. You can go out on one of our many whale watch boats, in season, or just watch them from the pool area at the hotel. We love the Atlantis submarine tour which leaves from the harbor and dives down 130 feet . You are guaranteed to stay dry and see lots of fish.
Farther north, Honolua Bay is great for snorkelling , but so are many other spots, like Black Rock in Ka’anapali. You can go on canoe tours to view marine life breeding areas in Olowalu. Horseback riding in the ranches in the mountains, zip lines, the beautiful drive to Hana, off road adventures on four wheelers, paint ball, skate parks…..You name it….We have it….well, most of it!
Enjoy your stay!
