Charming Studio In Historic Adobe Compound Close To Plaza.
About Heidi Schaeffer
I am a semi-retired Author and Psychologist who spends part of the year in Santa Fe and the other part at my lake home near Spooner, WI and Minneapolis, MN. While in Santa Fe, I enjoy the galleries, great restaurants and cultural influences.
Heidi Schaeffer purchased this Studio in 2006
Why Heidi Schaeffer chose Downtown
After my son moved to Santa Fe, he and other family members purchased several of the units in the complex and told me that this unit was available for sale. I like it's small size, proximity to the plaza and all the other amenities of Santa Fe. It has been fun to decorate the unit and to make sure it has the amenities that travelers want.
What makes this Studio unique
Being walking distant to so many great restaurants, shops and the Plaza (and all it has to offer) is such a great bonus! The hand painted murals and outdoor fireplaces give the entire complex a touch of classic Santa Fe charm that you don't find is most other cities. I feel like I am in a foreign country when in Santa Fe.

Nice, Authentic Studio
We enjoyed our stay here. It's close to everything. The property is authentically quaint. The bed is comfy and the kitchen fully equipped. Our only complaint would be that the hot tub has a heavy cover on it that would need to be lifted off and set aside somewhere. We never used it because of this. If we could just hop in and soak, that would have been nice.
So glad you enjoyed the casita and the location. The bed is new and the same one's used at our boutique hotel. Sorry you found the hot tub cover too heavy. The hot tub is managed by the HOA and I will pass on your feedback.
Convenient location walking distance to Plaza. Good shower. Personally, I don’t think you should leave an envelope to tip the housekeeper when you charge separately for the housekeeper.
Great walking location to downtown.
Cozy spot. Very easy to get around by car and foot.
Nice for a short stay.
As others have said it is small but worked for my husband, me and two small dogs. It was clean and had what we needed for cooking. The grill and hot tub are shared and were shut down for part of our stay. Easy walk to downtown.
The Chiquita Casita was the perfect place for us. Great location.
Cute little place!
The door lock is great! And Heidi is so responsive. Lovely adobe with very comfy bed and seating area. Loved the kitchen supplies. Bathroom does get quite cold but the space heaters really fixed that for us. Lovely walk to plaza and hot tube area is great.
Santa Fe is known for art, world class opera, fine dining, mountain activities and the pueblos!
