Classic 'California Spanish' style home originally built in 1924 and completely remodeled and refurbished in 2012. Looks like a brand new home but feels like a charming classic. Hand scrapped hardwood floors, antique glass door knobs and even an original but refurbished clawfoot tub. The kitchen features top of the line appliances including 60' Wolf Range with two full ovens, six burners, griddle and grill. SubZero fridge/freezer, warming drawer and microwave - all Wolf. Large flat screen TVs in most rooms all controlled via iPad. This professionally decorated home is 4000 sq. ft. and features 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom with large closets and a huge laundry room with new Samsung W/D.
This home is located close to everything - just 3 blocks from the charming downtown “village” of Coronado, 2 blocks from Spreckel's park and the library and a short walk to the Coronado golf course.
This home has a large outdoor deck just off the main living room accessed by french doors that provide indoor/outdoor living year-round. The deck features a gas fire pit and patio heater along with top of the line outdoor furniture.
The “great room” kitchen and family room was designed for entertaining - it features a 12 foot granite island with seating for at least six just steps from the custom designed gas fireplace. The adjoining dining room features a 7 foot round dining table that seats 12!

One of a kind classic home with all of the modern amenities.
Open floor plan but plenty of space to find privacy and quiet.
The house is well furnished and very spacious, equipped with modern updates. There are flat screen TVs in almost every room and even one outside. The TV's inside are all controlled by a whole-home Ipad with wireless internet connection. Occasionally there was lag time between pressing commands into the ipad and the corresponding response from the devices, such as changing channels on DirecTV. Very nice large round table in the dining room. Adjacent to that is a small lounge/cigar room with 1/2 bath. Amazing large kitchen with state of the art appliances, gas range with grill and flat iron skillet, dual convection ovens, huge island with warming drawer and extra sink, great for preparing gourmet meals. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and beautiful bathroom with huge walk-in closet. Also on the first floor is a "game room" that was converted from a bedroom with its own bathroom. This is more of an extra TV room with a large sectional couch and backgammon table. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms which all share one bathroom. One of those bedrooms has a king size bed. The owners' family keeps a lot of their personal property and belongings throughout the house, as it appears they stay there frequently as well. There is a detached guest bedroom and bathroom connected to the garage also. There are bikes to use in the very bike-friendly city of Coronado and outdoor showers for when you come back from the beach. The only negative is that the counter top where the kitchen sink is located is made of a very porous type of marble that chips and stains easily. The owner notified us of this when we checked in and requested not to get it wet or place drinks or hard objects on it. Obviously not an ideal surface for the kitchen sink countertop. Overall, a great house in a great town. Perfect for family vacations.

-- The property was clean and well maintained. There were housekeepers there finishing up when we checked in.
-- The owner was easily to contact and there in person at check in to show us around and explain things. We did not need to contact the owners during the stay.
-- I would recommend this property to others. However, I have since learned that the city of Coronado now requires a 28 night minimum for vacation rentals. Our stay was for 3 nights.
-- The house is within walking distance of nearly every attraction on the island
I highly recommend this property. I've stayed in a dozen vacation homes and this was one was easily my favorite.
It's a classic 1924 home that has been fully updated in stunning fashion. It's absolutely beautiful and well furnished. It's in a quiet part of Coronado island just six blocks from the beach and the Hotel Del. The pictures on VRBO don't do it justice. It's much nicer than the pictures show.
The owners are a pleasure to work with. They couldn't have been kinder. We especially enjoyed that backyard fireplace and the beach cruisers and surfboards.
The kitchen and bathrooms you have to see to believe. The master bedroom is also beautiful.
The beds in the other rooms are adequate for travelers. Everything was spotlessly clean.
You'll have zero regrets about renting this place.
