About Michael Servais

Terrie and I both became Certified Tourism Ambassadors for Door County in 2014.

We have enjoyed doing vacation rentals out of Cedar Creek Lodge I for the past 5 years, We have met so many wonderful people over those 5 years, we decided to expand and make this our primary business.

Michael Servais purchased this lodge in 2011

Why Michael Servais chose Door County

We were very fortunate to purchase this prime location. It is located right next to Peninsula State Park for the nature enthusiast. Julie's Cafe and Edge of the Park bike rentals as our neighbors as well as many other restaurants and shops at your finger tips.Door County offer so much to offer us. If you want to be active, there is golfing, hiking, biking and swimming, or in winter cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. If you want a slower pace there's strolling through town stopping in at the endless choice of shops, art studios and restaurants.

What makes this lodge unique

This beautiful log home has been built with heart and soul designed perfectly with the family in mind for vacation rentals. A portion of the home has been built with reclaimed wood. With the ability to sleep large groups, the whole family can spend quality time together. Enjoy making your own meals together or just relax on the porch after a busy day biking and hiking in the park.

We can also rent the Mother in Law suite out to small groups!

Great Vacation Location for our 50th Wedding Anniversary!

  • 5 of 5

We celebrated our 50th anniversary with our family at Cedar Creek Lodge. It had everything we had hoped for. Great location, wonderful home with plenty of room for everyone. And of course the kids and some of the adults loved the game room. With a new 10 month old grandson the mother-in-law unit was perfect for their family. There was so much to do for everyone. From hiking to fishing and boating, campfires, swimming, mini-golfing, go-carting, shopping, sightseeing....we did it all! And of course the restaurants were great. And you can't go to Door County without experiencing the Fish Boil. They did a great job at the Post Office in Ephraim. And Alexander's was great for celebrating our anniversary.

Thanks to Michael and Terrie for being so helpful. First time ever we have had an owner actually meet us at the house!

Awesome property, location and owners!

  • 5 of 5

This property couldn't be more beautiful, functional, comfortable, or better located! We had 13 in our party most recently, and it was more than roomy. More seating in the common areas is always an issue in vacation rental properties, it seems. But the kitchen island chairs were easily added to the living room just next to the kitchen to allow us all to watch a movie, talk, etc. The island is huge, allowing us all to eat together, to play games and to spread out. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed. The common areas in the mother-in-law suite attached to the living room also gave space to those who wanted some peace and quiet while the rest of the place was humming. And the two fire places, one in the main house and one in the mother-in-law suite, make the lodge even cozier, especially in the Fall and Winter.

The lodge is located just at the mouth of Peninsula State Park. Right next door is a rental place for bikes, scooters, kayaks, other vehicles to get around in, and equipment with which to enjoy the parkland and the water. If you turn left on the road that, if you turn right onto it, leads into the park, you find yourself on route 42, the main, north-south drag that takes you through all the towns and villages on the west side of the Door Peninsula, from Sturgeon Bay in the south to Gill's Rock in the north. And, on 42, it's a short walk to restaurants, frozen custard, coffee, and shops. In the past, we've stayed here in January and still walked (albeit bundled up) to nearby food, drink and stores.

Michael and Terrie are wonderful. Responsive and helpful, just a pleasure to deal with. The bit extra you might pay to stay in their property is well worth the additional dime.

Disney World North

  • 5 of 5

Hurricane Irma dashed our plans for a trip to Disney World to celebrate a special birthday so we moved the trip to Door County and were not disappointed.

Cedar Creek Lodge was perfect for our girls trip! Loved the great area which provided plenty of space to mingle as well as cook (2 kitchens!). Couldn't beat having 5 bedrooms AND 4 bathrooms!

Enjoyed the fire pit as well.

Great location - next door to Peninsula State Park, very walk-able to stores and restaurants in Fish Creek and only 15-20 minute drive to everything else we did (Hands On Art, Peninsula Players, etc). Owners were wonderful!

Can't wait to go back!

Great house and location couldn't be better! We had everything we needed here!

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have picked a better place for our "girls get- away"! Everyone loved the house and backyard with the fire pit at night! We walked to all the restaurants which made it so convenient and relaxing not having to drive. To be able to get up in the morning and go for a walk thru the beautiful Peninsula State park was an added bonus . Hope to come back again soon!
