About Michael Servais

Terrie and I both became Certified Tourism Ambassadors for Door County in 2014.

We have enjoyed doing vacation rentals out of Cedar Creek Lodge I for the past 9 years, We have met so many wonderful people over those 9 years, we decided to expand and make this our primary business.

Michael Servais purchased this lodge in 2011

Why Michael Servais chose Fish Creek

We were very fortunate to purchase this prime location. It is located right next to Peninsula State Park for the nature enthusiast. Julie's Cafe and Edge of the Park bike rentals as our neighbors as well as many other restaurants and shops at your finger tips.Door County offer so much to offer us. If you want to be active, there is golfing, hiking, biking and swimming, or in winter cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. If you want a slower pace there's strolling through town stopping in at the endless choice of shops, art studios and restaurants.

What makes this lodge unique

This beautiful log home has been built with heart and soul designed perfectly with the family in mind for vacation rentals. A portion of the home has been built with reclaimed wood. With the ability to sleep large groups, the whole family can spend quality time together. Enjoy making your own meals together or just relax on the porch after a busy day biking and hiking in the park. The Lodge has a built in mother in law suite that can be locked out from the rest of the house if so desired.

Awesome property, location and owners!

  • 5 of 5

This property couldn't be more beautiful, functional, comfortable, or better located! We had 13 in our party most recently, and it was more than roomy. More seating in the common areas is always an issue in vacation rental properties, it seems. But the kitchen island chairs were easily added to the living room just next to the kitchen to allow us all to watch a movie, talk, etc. The island is huge, allowing us all to eat together, to play games and to spread out. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed. The common areas in the mother-in-law suite attached to the living room also gave space to those who wanted some peace and quiet while the rest of the place was humming. And the two fire places, one in the main house and one in the mother-in-law suite, make the lodge even cozier, especially in the Fall and Winter.

The lodge is located just at the mouth of Peninsula State Park. Right next door is a rental place for bikes, scooters, kayaks, other vehicles to get around in, and equipment with which to enjoy the parkland and the water. If you turn left on the road that, if you turn right onto it, leads into the park, you find yourself on route 42, the main, north-south drag that takes you through all the towns and villages on the west side of the Door Peninsula, from Sturgeon Bay in the south to Gill's Rock in the north. And, on 42, it's a short walk to restaurants, frozen custard, coffee, and shops. In the past, we've stayed here in January and still walked (albeit bundled up) to nearby food, drink and stores.

Michael and Terrie are wonderful. Responsive and helpful, just a pleasure to deal with. The bit extra you might pay to stay in their property is well worth the additional dime.

We love the Cedar Creek Lodge!

This was the third winter that we've had three generations gather at the Lodge for a long weekend. There is something for everyone. We love this place, and can't think of a single thing that could be improved upon.

It was an unforgettable New Year's holiday, the house is beautiful and roomy, everything is in it. It was decorated for Christmas and the new year. The owner is sympathetic, his wife showed us everything on arrival and was very friendly, very happy with our time in. Thank you Michael and Terrie!

We had a Ladies weekend, at this beautiful Cedar Creek Lodge. It was everthing we were looking for.

  • 5 of 5

Spacious room for eveyone. It slept our party of 13 very easily. We loved the large kitchen where we could gather around for meals and fellowship. The large living room was so comfy especially with the fireplace. The second kitchen and living room was perfect for the early risers and was a favorite place to gather and sip coffee in front of the cozy fireplace, to start our day. Plenty of bathrooms for all 13 of the mother/ daughters to shower and get ready in the morning. Plenty of fun was had in the game room. Beautifully decorated with such interesting decor. Thank you so much, Michael and Terrie for such a warm and inviting place to stay! Everyone had such a wonderful time. So much laughter and so many wonderful memories made! Warm regards, Julie Bahr

We were one of four couples that stayed at this lodge. Everyone agreed the accommodations were great, and the location was perfect. In fact, we liked it so much we booked it again for next fall. The owners were very informative and willing to accommodate us.
