About Alicia Graham

Both of us grew up near the water -- He lived most of his life on coast of Georgetown and Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, whereas I grew up in the tropical islands of the Philippines. After retiring from a busy IT career, I am rekindling my passion for resort/property management by sharing our waterfront family compound on Lake Norman to visiting guests and their families in the area.

Alicia Graham purchased this house in 2007

Why Alicia Graham chose North Carolina

Troutman is a quaint little town on the north side of Lake Norman. We found this 'piece of paradise' as a quick getaway place from the hustle and bustle of work life 17 years ago. Not one moment of regret. The peace and tranquility refreshes our souls after a hard day's work. Why not share this special place with everyone else?

Guestbook comments from the owner

We actually stayed here during Business Meetings being held in Davidson. It was so nice coming home in the evenings to a true "home"! Everything was more than expected and gave us plenty of personal space, but room to get together in the evenings and relax. We all truly enjoyed the house and surroundings!

We have several more trips over next year and will surely be backsoon!! Thanks!

Quiet cove perfect for paddling

  • 5 of 5

The property, location, home, and attention to concerns were all outstanding.

Being located in a small, calm cove was very pleasant for paddling.

The canoe and pedal boat on site were both nice.

We brought our own SUP and kayak as well.

Both inside and outside environments were comfortable and added to the experience of our annual family vacation.

The upstairs ping pong / billiards / air hockey table was a great feature.

I would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting a quiet cove on Lake Norman.

Let your search end here...

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a clean, spacious, beautiful house on a quite cove... your search has just ended! We rented the house and the cottage for a family vacation (10 adults and 2 dogs). The house was just as nice in person as the pictures depicted. I always worry about the cleanliness of a rental property and I was not disappointed. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens and towels were of good quality. (There wasn't any kitchen towels but I had brought my own.) There were plenty of dishes, silverware and glasses. There was not a hand mixer but there is a toaster oven, coffee maker and Keurig, food processor and blender. The house is located at the end of a cove in a no wake zone so it was perfect for swimming, fishing, canoeing and the pedal boat. We had one minor problem with one shower not working properly and Jeff and Alicia were quick to respond. We lost power one evening and they texted me with the reason why and when we could expect the power to come back on. The path to the lake is somewhat uneven which was slightly difficult for my 84 year old father to navigate. Neighborhood dogs run free which posed a problem for us as one of our dogs is not unfamiliar dog friendly. There are grocery stores and restaurants around 5 miles away. And, our deposit was refunded very quickly. All in all, it's a great place and we did book it again for next year! Thanks Jeff and Alicia!!

beautiful and clean

  • 4 of 5

This was our first trip to Lake Norman. We rented the house and adjacent cottage for our family vacation (10 adults and 2 dogs). I always worry about cleanliness when I rent a place and must say that I was not disappointed! The house was very clean and just as beautiful as seen in the pictures. The beds were EXTREMELY comfortable!!! The house is located at the end of a cove in a no wake zone which was great for fishing, swimming and using the canoe and peddle boat. The path to the dock is uneven and slightly sloped which was a bit difficult for my 84 year old father to navigate. Neighborhood dogs roam free which was an issue for us as one of our dogs is not friendly toward unknown dogs. (The path to the lake and the dogs are why I gave it 4 stars.) There wasn't a hand mixer in the kitchen but plenty of dinner plates, silverware, glasses, coffee cups, blender, coffee maker, food processor, toaster, toaster oven and basic pots and pans. We did have a problem with one shower not working properly, which Alicia and Jeff remedied in a timely fashion. Harris Teeter is about 4 miles away and has great prices (take the time to get their loyalty card)! As a side note, we rented a pontoon boat from Lake Effects which delivered the boat and picked it up. If you are looking for a beautiful clean place to rent, I would say your search has ended!! I would definitely stay here again and certainly recommend it!! Thanks Alicia and Jeff!!
