Two Bedroom One And A Half Bath Waterfall Cottage Nestled On Nine Acres
My husband and I love Hendersonville and all that this area has to offer. We invite you to join us and see why we call Laurel Creek our slice of peace and tranquility!! Please review our cottage contract including our cancellation policy. Thank you ...
Why Royall chose Hendersonville
The property has no artificial light which makes for a spectacular view of the star filled sky. Directional spot lights also offer the opportunity to light the mountainside at night. Laurel Creek cottage is situated on nine acres surrounded by undisturbed mountainside and Laurel Creek views while being only three miles from Hendersonville's main street.
What makes this House unique
Sit on the porch above Laurel Creek and catch a glimpse of the deer or turkey passing by..... All but one room in the cottage offer views of the Laurel Creek.

Park Like Setting
This cottage is located in an absolutely beautiful setting and it is very homey and beautifully decorated. Even though the owner's vacation home is also on the property, the cottage felt very private. When the windows are open, you can hear the sounds of the creek and waterfall below. We enjoyed spending a lot of time outside, sitting and listening to the creek and enjoying the gorgeous landscape. It is also very conveniently located for visiting many beautiful places in the NC Mountains.
Extremely nice and well maintained...
Peaceful setting for a getaway & close enough to town for restaurants, groceries, etc.
All it was advertised to be
Clean, comfortable and the waterfall/stream just like it says. Was close enough to town that it was easy to get groceries or go out to eat but far enough away that it did feel like a mountain getaway. The property was well maintained and comfortable for a family of 4. The boys had a blast playing in the stream and watching the birds. We even saw wild turkeys a few times and deer once. Royall was helpful and provided corn to feed the animals. Great place overall
Thank you so much for leaving a review! So happy I was able to say hello before leaving town. You have a delightful family, the boys couldn't have been sweeter and very mannerly!! Our turkey are frequent visitors to the property, I am surprised you didnt see more deer. Can't wait to have you back, have a wonderful Summer ahead!
Just book it!
Beautiful location- close to many hikes, waterfalls and restaurants. Best part is hearing the Creek while you sleep and watching for deer and turkey! Wonderful, relaxing cottage! Thank you for sharing it !!
Very nice cottage close to hiking & shopping & galleries
Lovely, clean & cute cottage with a stunning creek view out the kitchen window & from the decks. Comfy queen bed. Great 2 level patio & deck that we would have used had the weather cooperated- (it’s rained a lot 2 years in a row in this area after Christmas :) nice to be tucked away & still close to town. Saw turkeys & deer. The quick trip to Jump Off Rock was well worth it & the drive to hike Pisgah Forest, DuPont Forest waterfalls, Brevard & Asheville is super easy from the cottage. Glad to have cable for one of our bowl games- we found a great sports bar ( Juicy Lucies) near Asheville for an NFL game. Everything you could need is provided. Considerations: the cottage is on several levels inside. If you plan on staying inside very much there is only one small loveseat & two Adirondack chairs for reading or watching tv- though pillows are available for them- (softer chairs or an apartment size sofa might feel more comfortable.) There are a few requests concerning clean up as you leave the cottage including dish washing, ( there is no dishwasher) trash disposal & stripping the towels & linens. All in all a lovely cottage & a very attentive host.
Caron, Thank you for the compliments on the cottage, they are much appreciated. Your review is our first four star in our six years of having the cottage open to guests. I'm not sure how we could have made your stay worthy of the five star review so I do apologize for that. Our page on VRBO has many photographs of the furnishings within including the chairs and sofa, lists of amenities include no dishwasher and stairs within. Lastly, we try to keep the cleaning fee we pass to our guests low by asking a few simple things as they leave. As we touched base with one another during your stay I wish you had mentioned anything you were displeased with so I would have had the opportunity to correct or offer an alternative to you and your husband. We try very hard to offer our guests the very best as we know the trust they are putting in us.
We spent several days during the Christmas holiday in this cozy cottage tucked away from our regular lives. It cottage was perfectly suited to us. It was very clean, the furnishings were comfortable and it was quiet. We enjoyed the visits from the deer and listening to the creek when we stepped outside on the deck. It was a retreat and yet very close to Hendersonville and family members.
Our area is home to The Biltmore House in Asheville NC, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Park, The Gorge Zip Line in Saluda, The Flat Rock Playhouse, Carl Sandburg's historic home and hiking trails with the prize winning goat farm where the kids can get up close and personal with their furry friends! The small towns of Saluda and Brevard are wonderful day trips and Asheville is not to be missed. Downtown Hendersonville with its relaxed pace with endless shopping choices and great restaurants.
