Or, you may prefer to barbecue on the full sized gas grill and dine outside on the large, sunny deck located off the living room. It's lovely on a summer evening! Two Queen bedroom suites offer privacy with in suite bathrooms, plenty of closet space and TVs. A third full bathroom (with large walk-in shower) is located on the living room level serving the main living area and the loft. The loft has two trundle beds (sleeps 4) and an armoire; it's great for extra guests or your kids. The living room couch is a queen sleeper sofa. The mud room is large enough to store 4 bicycles and your golf clubs! For your convenience there is a washer/dryer in the hallway.

Mammoth Sierra Town Homes are located on Meridian Blvd., 1/2 a block from Old Mammoth Road, in the heart of beautiful Mammoth Lakes, California. The complex offers a swimming pool, 2 Jacuzzis, a sauna, common area barbecue and dining set as well as poolside lounge chairs. About Dee Dee or John Heidelman

Both John and Dee Dee grew up in Southern California. John earned his bachelor's degree at Loyola University and a Master's in Business at USC. Dee Dee is the UCLA Bruin and has a Master's in Psychology from Antioch University. We typically go to Mammoth once a month but with our son playing club volleyball and attending Oaks Christian High School, our opportunity to get away is temporarily limited. We love to ski in the winter and hike, bike, canoe and fish in the spring, summer and fall.

Dee Dee or John Heidelman purchased this townhome in 1998

Why Dee Dee or John Heidelman chose Gold Country / High Sierra

We have been skiing Mammoth since our teens. We purchased this town home because we wanted a second home to enjoy with our family and friends. We were told 'skiers buy for the winters but keep for the summers', and it is so true. It's hard to say what season we like best! We bought this particular unit because it easily accommodates two families. The 'in town' location is perfect for easy access in the winter (no tricky, out of the way streets that you can't find when the snow is piled high) and for summer evening walks to local restaurants and entertainment, or Mammoth Creek park. It is also conveniently located on the shuttle route.

What makes this townhome unique

We have completely remodeled the unit and hope you will find it as warm and cozy as we do. Our antler chandelier, knotty pine ceiling, and dry stack stone fireplace give us the mountain feel we so love. When we remodeled, we added the mud room which allowed us to have a large deck upstairs. We enjoy barbecues and dining on the deck and using the mud room to store our gear or tune our skis.

Great Ski Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

The place was well decorated and there was more than enough room for my party of seven. We drove every morning to the Mammoth lifts which were about five minutes down the street; the local supermarket was even closer. This was one of the most convenient locations I've ever had the chance to stay at during any vacation.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a rental in the mammoth area- this place has everything it could ever need for the ideal ski vacation: full kitchen (with spices), mud room, hot tub (50m from rental), fire place, and games for the evenings. The owners were great and provided me with directions and answers along my entire stay. They were even kind enough to place a binder with all the activities one could do, from tourist sites to places to eat. During our stay, we only wrangled up the strength to enjoy the night life once- we went to 53 Kitchen & Cocktails were there was live music and a great atmosphere. Most of the crowd there was between 20-40.

The takeaway: Great stay with delightful surprises and zero complications. Must rent this place!

Owner's Response: You don't even have to drive to the slopes. The green line shuttle is directly across the street and it goes up Meridian to Eagle. It runs every 15 minutes. When you are coming home just ride the shuttle back to the same stop. It's so easy. Or if you want to go to the main lodge, just walk around the corner to Old Mammoth road and catch the red line.

Clean, Cozy and Comfy.

  • 4 of 5

To start off our stay I received an email from Dee Dee with all the details and welcome notes to their home. Dee Dee is very thorough so anytime I needed something, I just pulled up my email and there it was.

We so happened to have a snow storm the day we were checking in, had a series of events that we went through before our check in, once we got to the house we felt relieved. This is house is kept up very well and you just felt comfortable.

We had a townhouse two weeks prior right across the street and the two homes were literally night and day.

I would love to stay here again, everything was clean and well maintained, there was a manual available for everything you needed to know about the house. Kitchen was well stocked with clean utensils, plates, cups, pots and pans.

Plenty of blankets if you are a cold person, if you follow her instructions on the heater, you'll be perfectly cozy.

We played with the board games provided and she also had plenty of sleds that we took out to the side of the house where there were mini slopes the kids were able to sled off of.

I would definitely stay here again!

Great Condo!!!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our family trip to a perfect condo in Mammoth. Great location, just blocks from great restaurants and Vons, bus stop across the street takes you straight to the lifts. What more could you ask for. The condo was clean and the kitchen had almost anything a family could need. Highly recommend this condo.

Great getaway

  • 5 of 5

Great rate for such luxurious accommodations! I was not expecting such an elegant condo that also had the feel of a cabin. The beds were super comfortable and it was all in all such a clean environment with everything you could need. I had forgotten to bring a hair dryer and they had one there and even had some extra little things in the bathroom that I would only expect from a hotel (lotion, ect...). We were able to use the crockpot and such which was great since we mostly ate in. All the dish ware and silverware was nice and it really just made it feel like a second home.

Looking forward to spending another weekend here if we come to Mammoth again!

The absolute best and most comfortable home to stay at in Mammoth!

  • 5 of 5

We visit Mammoth several times a year, every year. This has been by far our most comfortable stay, and it's completely due to how great this town home is. The layout of the space is perfect for a big group, great living room and kitchen area to convene at after a long day of snowboarding, plenty of bathrooms with awesome plush towels and a big comfortable couch to take naps in. The place is super cute with just the right amount of decorations (the checkers set is adorable!) and it just felt like you were in your own home. The location is perfect as well. You are within walking distance from Vons, Starbucks and several other restaurants and bars.

Dee Dee was a great host, super nice and accommodating! We had a last minute request to change our check out time for a later time and she got back to us right away and made it happen. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. You must stay here!

Eagle Lodge at Mammoth Mountain

In the winter, Mammoth is famous for skiing and snowboarding with over 350 inches of annual average snowfall. Ride the Gondola to the top for a spectacular view of the Sierras (ski, board, bike or ride down). In the summer be sure to visit the Lakes Basin where there are several spectacular lakes you can drive to and even more that are a short day hike (Mcleod and TJ are favorites). Boat and paddle board rentals are available. There are numerous town bike trails and on the mountain biking trails. Take your bike on the town trolly (catch it in the Village) to the top of Lake Mary Road and enjoy the scenic bike path ride back to the Village. Try a horseback tour from Mammoth Pack Station. Take your little ones to McGee ponds to see the huge fish (catch and release for a small fee). Visit Yosemite National Park and Mono Lake, both with in an hours drive. Mammoth has everything you could want from a vacation location - fine dining, adventure, romance, family activities….
