A great place for the family

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed this as a venue for an extended family get-together. The house comfortably slept four adults and six smaller children. The loft is useful, and the quiet cultural-de-sac, a great place for the kids to ride bikes and play ball.

The close proximity to Glaze meadows pool and activity centre, meant that within a 5 minute bike ride, we were in the pool and hotter, or in the gym. Previous reviews on this property haven't always been positive, but Vacasa has maintained this place well, and it certainly had everything we needed. Will definitely come again.

The property is in a wonderful location and well designed.

  • 4 of 5

House needs sprucing up and a thorough maintenance check...knobs fall off...wheels fall of the dishwasher racks...there is a leak under the sink etc. The Wifi was excellent. We had so much fun at Black Butte that it seems wrong to complain...but things need a good going over.We had promised our granddaughter a movie only to discover the VCR was not hooked up and a collection of remotes were not really matched with anything. Son finally got things going but when we had to pause the movie it went back to the beginning and we had to abandon the evening as we did not have time to watch the first half again. It is a great property in a great location but one gets the idea that it has been abandoned and not properly kept in good shape. When I read the reviews before renting I said that some people are just fussy. Am not fussy but things need to be addressed!

Bargain house was a disappointment

  • 1 of 5

Despite our concerns from past reviews the house manager led us to believe that this house was in rentable conditon and that the concerns of the leaking toilets had been addressed and repairs had been made. They had not been.

Also, this place is not equipped to house 10 people beyond sleeping quarters. There is not adequate hot water and kitchen supplies are lacking. The request was made to wash the bedding but no detergent was supplied. All in all, there were good things about the house but unfortunately the negative experience left it unable to be appreciated. I wish they would have been honest with me, it would have made our experience much more enjoyable.

Affordable, spacious, great location and previous issues resolved

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here once before and experienced a staggering number of issues with the house, including no hot water, a broken oven and leaking water in the bathroom ceiling. However, when it came time to book a Black Butte trip I verified that the issues were resolved and booked again because of the cost, size of the house and the location, which is close to the large family rec center and set away from busy roads. The king bed in the master bedroom is one of the best beds i have ever slept in and the fan driven wood stove is fantastic as well.

About Vacasa, OR - Central Oregon Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
