|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
Just installed: A9 is fully air conditioned for your comfort.
As a professional photographer* I take almost all my landscapes during the Golden Hours of dawn and dusk. This is when earth is bathed in the most luxurious and magnificent light. Whether composing into the light, or away, the light is simply magic. Common objects light up as if illuminated internally. The clouds and sky become cathedrals painted with a pallet ranging from pink, to magenta, to orange, to robin's egg blue.
As Napili is situated behind Maui mountains, there are no Golden Hours at dawn, only dusk. Napili Point is only one of two resorts in Napili where your day doesn't end at 4 or 5 o'clock, but an hour or so after sunset. Why give away the best light of the day, come stay at Napili Point A-9 and pick up those precious hours on us, no extra charge.
A-9 is fully air conditioned, your days and nights are cool and comfortable anytime you choose to be indoors.
Full daily maid service, with onsite management. There are less expensive Napili Point units on VRBO, but you will not have immediate 24/7 response to needs and issues arising during your stay.
Our newly upgraded one-bedroom unit is literally 10 yards off the ocean. If privacy and quiet are important to you, A-9 is one of only a few units on Maui that does not back up onto a parking lot, nor front on a pool or play area. As the day winds down, it is your world to enjoy. The only sounds you will hear are the waves slapping against the shore and the wind through the trees. There will be no slamming car doors, no early morning tour bus pickups, no late night revelers returning, and no crying babies to interrupt your time in paradise.
If you are looking for that romantic hideaway to spend intimate moments together you have found the perfect spot. A king size bed with memory foam provides the ultimate in comfort.
Situated on Honokeana Bay, referred to as Turtle Town, you are steps away from entry into ocean. The turtles, the tropical fish and coral of Honokeana Bay are simply amazing.
The Napili Point Resort has 2 swimming pools with unobstructed views of the islands of Lana'i and Moloka'i, and 365 sunsets per year. Large grassy areas welcome the sun worshiper seeking a bit of welcomed solitude.
Once settled in you will find it difficult to leave to explore other Maui destinations. However, when you do decide to explore Maui there are dozens of adventures awaiting. Golfing at Kapalua, snorkeling Honolua, ziplining the mountains, exploring blow holes and ocean fed pools, greeting the sunrise at Haleakala, driving the Hana Highway, and dining at world class restaurants are all within your reach.
Any time of the year is the perfect time to stay at Napili Point. Summertime is especially relaxing as our A-9 unit is away from noise and commotion associated with the influx of children to Maui during summer vacation. Late spring is also uncrowded with great weather and lower rates to be had. Another great opportunity for good weather and no crowds is the time after Thanksgiving and before Christmas. If you can fit Maui in during this time you will be rewarded with great airfare rates and uncrowded beaches, restaurants, golfing and shopping.

Kristin and John Murk have been staying in Napili since the 1960's. Ownership of Unit A-9 at Napili Point Resort represents the best of all prior property ownerships at Napili. John is an avid surfer and professional photographer. Honolua Bay is his favorite surf spot on earth. Flowers, surf, surfers, sunsets and waterfalls are his favorite photography subjects on Maui.
Kristin, who works as attorney for the State of California, spends her days snorkeling and reading. Her mornings and evenings spent watching sunrises with rainbows and sunsets with an infinite palette of colors.
John Murk purchased this condo in 2012
It offers the one most quiet and tranquil experience in Maui condo rentals and is air conditioned for your comfort. Located away from the parking lots, highway, and adjacent unit noises. (The above photo is from the lanai of the unit.)
If privacy and quiet are important to you, A-9 is the perfect vacation condo. We owned several other condos on Napili Bay and found the road noise, the comings and goings of tour vans at 5 in the morning, the slamming of car doors, the late evening return of guests bidding their companions good night, screams of kids playing on the lawn and so many other unwanted noise as a constant distraction.
Noise is not part of the A-9 experience
A-9 is within the Napili Point Resort, located on Honokeana Bay, with possibly the best views of Lana'i and Moloka'i. The ocean is at your finger tips. No need to drive. Snorkeling Honokeana Bay, Napili Bay and Kapalua bay. Two of the finest Maui sand beaches at Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay. Surfing Little Makaha and Hole in the Head.
Or just plain floating in one of the two resort pools located right on the ocean. Uncrowded luxury awaits. No elbow to elbow sunbathing will several hundred of your not so close friends.
You can even walk to breakfast at two of West Maui's most popular restaurants-The Gazebo and the Sea House.
All your grocery needs are met at the Napili Market a short half mile away.
Every meal can be enjoy with an unobstructed ocean view on the lanai. Takeout from Maui Taco, the Iron Imu and Okasuka's Market provide some of the very meals available on Maui.
We had a wonderful stay, the location and condo were just what we were looking for!
Just back from a week in this delightful condo, with its fresh and casual tropical decor and gorgeous, amazing photo wall-art by owner John! Lovely views, sunsets and rainbows from inside and out. Snorkeling literally right outside, with lots to see and always turtles to swim with. We also enjoyed just relaxing, with the sound of the waves and cool breezes. Nice, well-supplied kitchen, and we enjoyed many meals right there. Tried the resort's communal bbq grills one night, but they needed to be cleaned.
We hadn't been to Maui in about 15 years and since we had a car, we also played tourist, going to many locations on the island (except Hana), including the Maui Ocean Center: oh, wow! The center is so well done and covering so much that it didn't matter that it is a little pricey. So much to see and wonderfully done re-creations in a variety of media in addition to the many live creatures, mini and huge. Don't miss the Shark Tunnel where they swim above you! Everyone said we had to try breakfast at The Gazebo next door, open only for breakfast and lunch, and we tried breakfast. We were warned it was small and always a long wait. Yep. We got there 30 min before it opened and still waited more than an hour for one of its 14 tables. It was a nice setting, good food. But, we then tried the Sea House a little further down, also for breakfast, and found it's setting gorgeous, no wait, and even better food. Iron IMU, apparently a new restaurant, is right next-door in the resort where The Gazebo is, and it is very good: only open for dinner and all traditional Hawaiian BBQ. It was so good, I must admit we went twice, so we can recommend the bbq'd: ribs, chicken and brisket. Yum! In Kaanapali, try Leilani's on the beach in Whaler's Village (upstairs) at sunset. Excellent menu, food, setting, service. Not rushed.
We thank John and Kristen for sharing their special spot with us and for making our return to Maui wonderful.
My husband and I spent one incredible week at this beautiful condo this past September, wish we could have stayed two weeks! From the minute we arrived, we were enchanted by the view of Napili Point. In fact, we decided to eat on the patio most evenings so that we could watch the sunsets. From the condo, we could actually see the turtles popping their heads up in the small bay below us. The snorkeling we found to be the best in this bay but also enjoyed snorkeling at the sandy beaches of Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay. There is a great coast line beachwalk that we enjoyed several mornings and we had a great breakfast at a beachfront restaurant we walked to called the Gazebo.
Besides the amazing view, the condo is very clean and nicely furnished and has a modern an updated kitchen. We'd like to thank the owners for a memorable stay!
My Wife and I had a great time hanging out in this nicely decorated, well maintained condo.
It's situation right above one of the most popular snorkeling coves in the Napili area with loads of sea turtles provides daily excitement without feeling overly crowded.
The views are spectacular into the cove and across the ocean to Lanai and further with fantastic sunsets.
There is no feel of cookie cutter high rise resorts here.
It is charming, relaxing and beautiful and nearby there are plenty of places to dine out and pick up supplies for those times you want to eat in.
Staff and guests, in and around this property are friendly and helpful.
A great place to go.
We stayed in this unit from 8/17 to 8/21.
This condo is right in front of the ocean with spectacular views of the ocean. Its got 2 great things going for it. The turtles and the spectacular views.
The Turtle feeding station is right in front of the unit. During mornings till about 9am and afternoons starting 4pm one can see several turtles swim up. Some of them would also come on the shore and offer a photo shoot :) My 5 year old son, my wife and I in fact went in one morning and swam with the turtles.
The views from the patio are again something to be experienced. The condo is on the west and one gets clear view of the sun setting in the ocean. The beach in front of the condo is very rocky and not too large - that becomes actually an advantage and keeps this place from becoming too crowded.
Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a condo in the Napili area. We would love to go back ourselves.
Words cannot begin to describe this spot on Maui. We chose Napili Point to celebrate our 30th anniversary and it was perfect! We spent the first three days sightseeing around the Island and each day we couldn't wait to return to 'our place' by the Bay. Once we settled in,
(went Tropo) we found amazing peace and quiet in this Island Paradise. We snorkeled two or three times a day and were constantly amazed by the beautiful and diverse sea life in
crystalline ocean aquarium just steps from the condo. When we were able to tear ourselves away it was to walk along the beach to one of several restaurants... early breakfast at the Gazebo or sunset happy hour at the Sea House. When we didn't feel like dining out, the Napili Market was just a short five minute drive away. There we found everything we needed
to cook at 'home' (the resort complex also has outdoor grills.) In addition there is an excellent coffee house in the same shopping center where the market is located. At the end of each day we enjoyed some of the most beautiful sunsets imaginable while sitting on the lanai overlooking the bay. In short, This comfortable Napili Point condo is the best of both worlds - close enough to the activities of Lahaina, Kanapali, and Kapalua, but far enough away from the crowds to experience true tranquility. We hope to be able to return next year.
The best feature of A-9 at Napili Point is the ocean front, unobstructed view across the channel to Lana'i and Moloka'i of every sunset of every day of the year. Snorkeling in Honokeana bay is as good as any tour operator can provide practically anywhere else on Maui.
One of only a handful of completely sand beaches is located s short ocean front walk to Napili Bay. Napili Bay is as 'kid-friendly' a beach that exists in all of Hawai'i.
Surfing two spots immediately adjacent to the Napili Point Resort offer both beginners and experts fun waves during the fall through spring. World class surf spot Honolua bay is just several miles north on Highway 30.
Kapalua's world famous Plantation and Bay Golf courses are just minutes away.
Several restaurants catering to all tastes, including the Sea House, Merriman's, the Pineapple Grill and the Plantation House are within a few short miles.
A complete grocery store, the Napili Market, offers all your vacation stay needs with a great selection and reasonable prices.
A-9 unit is located about 10 yards from the ocean. It is constructed of solid concrete on all sides and the roof and as such is virtually soundproof. When you are in the unit the only contact with the world is the view across to Lana'i and Moloka'i. At night the only sound you will ever hear are the waves against the rock outcropping surrounding the property.
During the day you can sit under the Keawe tree you see in the opening photo, balancing sun and shade as the sun crawls across the beautiful Hawaiian sky.
After snorkeling in the bay, a refreshing cool or hot shower to rinse away that 'glazed donut' feeling is only steps away.
If you are into photography A-9 will serve as your home base of incredible land and sea scapes. Heading north on Highway 30 you will pass Kapalua Bay, Honolua Bay, an ocean blow hole, tranquil valleys and untamed shear cliffs rising hundreds of feet from the pounding ocean.
