Enjoy the amazing panoramic view of the ocean while staying in this spacious and well decorated unit. It has been recently updated with new amenities in the kitchen, living room, bathrooms and bedrooms. Beautiful hardwood floors and wood shutters adorn the unit. The Master Bedroom offers a King size bed with attached bath, walk-in closet and attached lanai. The other two bedrooms offer a queen bed in one and a queen plus twin in the other, sharing a bathroom with walk-in closet. The queen/twin bedroom has an attached lanai. All with comfortable linens. There is another full bath off the living room and a queen size sofa bed in the living room. Flat screen t.v.'s are located in master, twin bedroom and the living room. All are recently updated Smart TVs. The kitchen has been completely remodeled and is furnished with all the utensils needed to make your stay comfortable. A washer and dryer are also located in this unit. This unit is close to all your favorite activities. Enjoy amazing golf at Kapalua Bay or Plantation. The best snorkeling bay and beaches on the island are just a short walk below the unit. Another short walk away are places like the Ritz which has great restaurants at their pool and beach area, the Honolua store which has quick service for breakfast or lunch, and an island favorite...Sansei (voted best sushi on the island).

Cindy and Mike are originally from Canada and fell in love with Maui and Kapalua many years ago. It's been our dream to have a vacation home in Kapalua since we moved to the US about ten years ago.

Why Cindy Mathes chose Maui

Our family stayed at this unit in 2011. We have three children and invited their grandparents. It was by far the best vacation we ever had. To be able to share such special memories in such a beautiful environment was a blessing.

My father passed away a year later and we look back on our trip as one of the best decisions ever. We hope to be able to share this unit with others looking to make memories for a lifetime.

What makes this condo unique

The three bedroom unit is perfect for a larger family vacation. Grandparents can easily join and have their own room. In addition, with the queen/twin bed room, there is great flexibility for couples.

The unit has been beautifully remodeled with granite counter tops, tile and wood floors throughout and gorgeous wood shutters giving a truly Hawaiian atmosphere.

Fun time in Kapalua

Great location in villas on 'The Ridge' at Kapalua, close to beaches, restaurants and activities.

Ideal for up to 4 adults and 2 children.

Apartment could use a more thorough clean up than just surface cleaning in between guests.

Examples include cleaning the lanai floor and dust close to/on and behind furniture such as beds and sofas.

Kitchen faucet was in need of replacement and got fixed by owners a few days later. Some of the furniture could also be upgraded including TVs, beds/linens, dining table.

Overall fun stay and spent a lot of time outdoors but would not rent this unit again given the above.

Looked better on pictures than in reality.

Owner's Response: We're disappointed that you didn't enjoy your stay more. Our unit is well maintained and upgraded. Our cleaners did an extra pre-clean before arrival. In the last two years, we have replaced the fridge, dishwasher, washer, dryer, sofa bed, one TV and coffee table. We are constantly upgrading and maintaining our unit. When there was a problem with the faucet, we had a plumber out immediately to replace it. The Kitchen table is made from distressed wood (perhaps why they think it needs to be replaced) and matches the wood floors and wood shutters in the unit. All our bed linens are high thread count and replaced on a regular basis.

Great time in Kapalua

Everything was as advertised. Condo was in great shape. We had a party of 6 and had plenty of room for all. Appreciated the beach towels and umbrellas. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony and enjoyed the view.

We requested a late checkout and the owners were able to accommodate us. We also arrived a little early and had no issue getting into the condo. Owners responded quickly to our questions and requests.

Definitely recommend this home.

Hard to Knock the Location and Facility

The beds are comfortable, the owners responsive to questions, the location first rate, the pool just steps away. There are lots of extras (the beach chairs and snorkel gear for example). My wife adopted one of the comfy chairs and threatened to bring it home.

We hated to leave and look forward to returning.

Very nice views, roomy, large rooms

Six adults, two week stay, January - February 2016.

Master bed was good, upstairs beds are not comfortable. Nice linens and bath/beach towels. Only one kitchen towel and pot holder, no dishrags for two week stay. Bought our own cleaning supplies for bathrooms and kitchen including hand soap. Our shopping at Costco could have included these items if we knew beforehand. Cooked in except for two meals. Kitchen supplies are basic and most are old. Owners should upgrade with good (sharp) knives, BBQ utensils, new spices, another cutting board, better frying pans and an immersible blender would be wonderful. Need large salad bowl and missing bowls.

House is quite pretty, with good sized rooms, closets, adequate seating, although the couch in living area is really old, tired and falling apart. Some nicely framed art pieces on the walls. Limited TV reception, wireless internet was adequate.

Location of condo is very nice, views of golf course and Honolulua Bay. Short walk to Ritz, beach area, trails and small store. Drive of about 20 minutes to Kaanapali for snorkeling. Having (3) beach chairs and (2) beach umbrellas was nice. BBQ in pool area (very short walk from condo) was really appreciated, and a good place to talk to other vacationers.

Our group (lifelong friends with many trips together) say this should be 3.5 - 4 stars. To make it a 5 star rating the owners should do some delayed maintenance (clean the window screens, replace the washer/dryer, replace sofa, fix leaking downstairs toilets, open the bathroom screwed shut windows upstairs and down). Owners were responsive when the dishwasher needed a quick repair to work.

All in all, we recommend this home for four adults and perhaps two children. The neighborhood is very nice, quiet, clean, landscaping is excellent.
