Beautiful place but stay overshadowed by electrical issues
It's a wonderful apartment and location, but unfortunately two days in a row for several hours we were without running water or the ability to leave the property due to electrical issues in the main house. There was no power to the water pump or entrance gate. With no manual override available to open the gate we were unable to leave via car and trapped. Offsite help did eventually arrive each day, but we were inconveniently forced to cancel and change our plans.
Wonderful spot and apartment
Fantastic host and apartment.Lots of room. Close to everything you need and also a little away from it all so you can enjoy the peace. Beautiful vineyards. Great view. Close to great restaurants or use the full kitchen to make your own meal! We also enjoyed a cooking class with a local chef. Best place we stayed in 3 weeks. Thank you Eva!
Pictouresque place in the middle of the vineyards
The whole property is meticulously taken care of and well maintained. Very quiet location in the middle of the vineyards. Small villages and cities nearby can be reached by car. Very friendly and helpful hosts. We will come back!
Dear Birgitte Beuck
Thanks a lot for for the nice words about Cascina del Rosone.
You are always welcome back.
All the best
Great winter experience in Piedmont
We have visited Piedmont several times but this was the very first time we stayed in an apartment and more than just one week. Additionally, in the middle of the exceptionally hard winter. We could not have succeeded better in choosing the apartment than we did with Cascina del Rosone. Apartement was cosy and clean, the rooms were decorated with style and excellent taste. All necessary household equipment was provided for. And what stunning views from the windows over the hills to the Alps , almost 360 degrees!
The owners produce wonderful Barbera D'Asti wines. It was a pleasure to see the working in the winyard and learn in practise how biological wine is produced.
The owners were very friendy and ready to assist us in the small and big things that came up. We spent relaxing days and felt like almost being part of the family.
We recommend warmly Cascina del Rosone for a relaxing holiday.
een heel mooi gelegen huis met goede fasciliteiten.
hele fijne woning en makkelijk in gebruik alles is aanwezig. we hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad.
Goldene Herbsttage in Agliano Terme
The Cascina del Rosone is located on a hill in the middle of the UNESCO-listed World Heritage Wine Country, close to Agliano Terme, in the heart of Barbera are grown. Agliano Terme has everything for everyday use and is easily accessible from the house on foot. The 'city of truffles' Alba and the Langhe, where famous wines and cheeses are produced, can be reached via a magnificent route via Neive and Barbaresco. Turin, capital of Piedmont, rich in historical cafés and museums under 18 km arcades, is always a trip worth. Acqui Terme with its hot springs and terms can be reached by car in about 25 minutes. But you can also follow the historic trade routes from Northern and Central Europe to the Mediterranean and visit the many castles, palaces and churches of Piedmont and the many historic events. This part of Italy is famous for its food and wine culture.
Good environment for driving
Golf: In the immediate vicinity you will find the 9 hole golf course in ACQUI TERME 'LE COLLINE', the 18 hole course in ASTI 'FEUDO d' ASTI ', in CHERASCO the golf club with 18 holes and the 36 hole course in Fubine' MARGARA ' also offers an indoor pool, as well as a tennis court. From February the golf courses have reopened.
Ski: Even in winter, the Piedmont is well worth a visit.
In about 2 hours you can reach the 'Olympic slopes in 2006. San Sicario, Sestriere, Sauze d'Oulx, Bardonecchia, all located in the Susa Valley or even lime or Limonetto in the Cuneo area. Also Cervinia (Matterhorn), Gressoney (Monterosa) can be reached from your holiday resort in about 2, 5 hours.. Wonderful slopes for a day trip.
