Why Paul Tegenbosch chose Amsterdam-Oost
The house we live in is a beautiful family house , built in 1902 with 4 floors, a nice garden and a sunny balcony. The street view is typical Amsterdam with a fountain in the middle and trees around. In 2009 we built a double atelier / studio / apartment in the garden with own entrance in the side street. It is a multi purpose inspiring building in which you can live , work and create. In 2013 we started to rent this apartment.
What makes this Apartment unique
Close to the inner centre of Amsterdam and still quiet and save. The area is very family- and child friendly and trendy because of all the facilities like restaurants and shops, but also schools, sports and cultural places and parks. An ideal area to live as a local!!

Splendid Apartment, Lovely Neighborhood
A couple of friends and I had a fantastic stay. The apartment is beautiful. The neighborhood was lovely and conveniently located. We took the tram, and bikes anywhere we wanted to go. Nearby parks, restaurants and shops, yoga studios were all very nice. Our host were charming and helpful.
Thanks so much.

Lovely property, perfect for our family of four with two teens, everyone had their own space. Clean, quiet, and very funky bohemian vibe. Great hosts!
Studio 24 Was Fantastic
Paul and Bonnita met us outside and brought us in for wine and beer as they pulled out a map to mark off points of interest for us. They are happy to answer any questions to help you enjoy the city.
The property is in a lovely quiet are of Amsterdam. The tram line is a mere 5 minute walk to catch. Oostport shopping center is also 5 minutes away. Several restaurants around Oostport. HIghly recommend The Cottage. At Oostport there is a organic food store and you can rent a bike to get around the city. This is the best way to see Amsterdam. Black Bikes has 14 locations throughout the city for support or drop off of the bike.
Several wonderful restaurants, bakeries, wine and beer shops are quickly accessible by foot. I wish I had known of the excellent selection of beer at the little wine store before we were headed from the area. Brouwerij Poesiat & Kater is maybe 6 minutes walk from the apartment.
Paul greeted us each morning to deliver fresh squeezed orange juice. Bonnita stopped by on our last day just to say goodbye since she was leaving for the day. Wonderful hosts and wonderful place, I would absolutely and do hope to stay there again. A great place to stay in Amsterdam!
Paul and Bonita were very welcoming and kind, even bringing us freshly squeezed orange juice every morning and greeting us with beer and wine when we first arrived. Everything everyone else has said here is true - great, quiet location with lots of restaurants within easy walking distance, tram stop just a couple blocks away. The place itself is uniquely and artfully decorated. There is even a quaint, relaxing courtyard to unwind in after a full day of sightseeing. Would definitely stay here again!!
We stayed at the apartments for a week and had a great time. The apartment is awesome and looks amazing, having the two floors available was great as we used the top floor as our living space and the bottom floor as our bedroom. The location is central and easy to reach by public transport.
We had a wonderful time in Amsterdam. Paul's studio was in the perfect location. It is located out of the craziness of the tourist area but close enough to hop on the tram to get into sightseeing areas within 10-20 minutes. We had a perfect amount of space to unravel after our long days.
I had wished we had more kitchen amenities available to us (there is only coffee maker and refrigerator) so that we had the option to make a proper meal if we did not want to eat out for all meals. However, we managed with many of the available restaurants within walking distance!
This save, quiet and trendy area Watergraafsmeer has many restaurants, shops, coffee corners and beautiful parks. By bike (rental around the corner) or tram you're in the inner centre of Amsterdam within 10 minutes but also in the 'polder' between the cows and windmills. Visit the famous museums like The Rijksmuseum, The Rembrandt House, the Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum. The weekly and monthly vintage markets like Noordermarkt and IJhallen as well as local organic markets are at easy reach.
