The layout and Space of this apartment is unique in that there is a separated Kitchen and Living room which gives you two areas to hang out in. The Bedrooms are also on opposite sides of the living room. It has a main bedroom Ensuite Bath & a second washroom with walk in shower in the main apartment.
The Whole place was renovated in November 2014 after a flood with new flooring and paint. We also added 2' wooden slat blinds on all the windows which, alone, cost of over $5k.. Everything in the apartment is top quality and is set up and designed to target corporate rentals. A movie Studio had it for the last year and Coca Cola took it for a year during the run up to the Olympics.
The concrete Building is only 9 years old so It has excellent sound proofing and amenities.
***************About Me - Guest Interaction ********
I'm available 24x7 (Literally) if you have any questions, issues or concerns.. I'd rather you called me at 4am to tell me the wireless is down than have you even slightly dissatisfied with your stay!
I take pride in making sure my place is spotless for all guests - professionally cleaned before and after each visitor as well as weekly for guests staying over 7 days. All the sheets are thrown out each quarter and replaced with brand new, just to keep things fresh.
The Apartment has a full Gym, which is quite large, well stocked with modern equipment and has a small yoga space, a Sauna and a Steam Room. There is a secure gated parking space with the Apartment which is located on the first level of the Underground, so easy Access.
I'm an Irish lad in my late 30's living in Vancouver for 7 years now and working as an Account Manager for a big Tech firm. I came for the weather after originally moving to Toronto but stayed for the lifestyle, especially the Skiing in Whistler!
C purchased this apartment in 2009
Even though the building is only 9 years old I upgraded pretty much everything with Maple Floors, 2' Wooden Slat blinds, high quality Artwork and all bedding replaced with new each quarter.
This was my first VRBO experience and it couldn't have better. Conor responded in lightning speed to check me in, even though I was inquiring very last minute. When I arrived at his apartment, I realized how great of a decision I had made. The apartment is extremely comfortable and very well thought out. Conor thought of everything. I really enjoyed this place and would love to return soon. Thanks Conor!
The apartment fulfilled all our expectations, spacious, modern, with all furniture , beds, bedding being of top quality.Nothing was omitted, right down to a makeup/shaving mirror! It is incredibly light, with huge Windows which all have blinds if it is sunny and you need to keep cool. The views are great, as it is on the 5th floor in a very nice apartment block. There are two air conditioning units which are very effective when it's hot. The sofa and armchair are fabulously comfy, just right for relaxing in between sightseeing and going out to eat. The choice of restaurants within walking distance is amazing, we had some great food here. If we had wanted to cook there was every thing we would need in the kitchen. There is so much to see and do here, all walkable!we would certainly recommend this to all Vancouver tourists! It was spotless too!
We arrived during a heat wave. Apartment Aircon kept us cool. Description of apartment accurate. Everything you need. We enjoyed our stay.
This property has a window wall facing southwest. Beware. Afternoon sun turned this unit into a greenhouse, with interior temperatures exceeding 90-degrees, with no hope of a cross-breeze. Conor had two small air conditioning units in the main living area, but they were grossly insufficient to bring the temperature down, even though he assured us they would. He had a few fans available for the bedrooms, but they did nothing to lower the temps and created obstacles to getting into bed due to the very small size of the rooms.
I acknowledge that Vancouver was experiencing unusually warm summer weather when we were there, but the apartment was not livable in the afternoons. We had to rearrange our schedule to allow for leisure time at the condo in the morning so that we would be sure to be out until after sundown.
The unit is also quite small. It is not "spacious." The two larger bedrooms are nearly consumed by the size of the queen beds and would accommodate only one suitcase each--in the closet. The third bedroom is barely more than a closet. So we had to spread suitcases out in the living area. Nothing had been done to compensate for the lack of floor space or shelving. And with four adults, one had to sit uncomfortably in the middle of the couch, although another chair would fit in the living area.
This building is also across the street from the hospital. My mother, who has very poor hearing, complained of the sirens at night, even with her windows closed.
That said, the unit was impeccably clean and contained all of the necessities for survival in the city. It is well-located (aside from being across from the hospital) and quite secure. Conor was anxious to please, and came immediately when we could not get the TV to work. But I would not stay here if I had it to do again--unless it was winter and I was traveling with fewer persons.
First off, I know a lot of other reviews say it, but Conor was great. His communication with us was first-rate, leading up to and during our stay. The location of this apartment was ideal for us as first-time visitors to Vancouver. Davie Street, right around the corner, is active and fun. The nearby Yaletown neighborhood provides lots of good eating options and several great grocery stores. The seawall and downtown are easy walks, and all other downtown destinations are readily accessible with longer walks, by bike, or on public transportation (Stanley Park, Kitsilano Beach, Gastown and Chinatown, Granville Island, and the waterfront). And though we didn't use it, I noticed the popular hop-on, hop-off tourist bus stops right near the building. The apartment itself was fantastic, with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable when we weren't out exploring. Absolutely highly recommended!
Great apartment/condo for a family of 4 (+1) - 5 adults. The place had everything we needed; the two full baths and the washer/dryer were lifesavers given our long trip. Also, having a place to park your car was a huge plus. We followed all of the owner's instructions and advice, and everything went smoothly. The location was great for us - easy access to restaurants, stores and the ferry to Gran. Island. One in our group was attending a class at VanArts, about a mile away, and we really enjoyed walking to and from VanArts (which is right in the thick of the financial area, shopping and Museums.) All you need to do is look on-line for like accommodations and you'll see what a good choice this condo.apartment is.
C was exceptionally cool to allow us to stay at his place and was very easy to reach and work with. I was travelling with 5 guys for a wedding which was immediate denials from 5 different condo owners, but he was pretty cool to take a risk and allow us to stay, all we really needed was a place to sleep and relax (given we were all away from our wife and kids :-) ) . The condo is centrally located and very near good restaurants and night life scenes. Clean and had all of the amenities we needed (towels, shampoo, soap, etc. ). I would definitely recommend this condo to any friends or family!
The Apartment is really very well situated in that you can easily walk to the Yaletown bars, Robson Street Shopping or the main beach within 5 minutes. Staying in any of those areas means a lengthy walk to the others so a central location is just so convenient.
The Davy village shops, restaurants and food-markets are less than a 2 minute walk while the main city cinema, the Scotiabank theatre, is about 3 blocks away. While the Davy street bars are close they are far enough that you will have more peace at night than the Yaletown or Granville street locations, which are packed until the early hours. You can be home from those bars in less than 5 or 10 minutes when you do call it a night!
Soundproofing in the apartment is also excellent so there is very little street noise.
