Full time residents of Santa Fe. We enjoyed staying at our condo so much we eventually bought a home, yet continue to rent out the condo to other visitors who want to experience the magic of Santa Fe.
Eve Adams purchased this condo in 2013
I began visiting Santa Fe to visit a friend and fell in love with the city. After spending the past several years visiting I decided I needed to have my own space to stay in during my travels. I chose this condo because of it's proximity to the Plaza, shopping district, restaurants, favorite hot spots and view of the Sangre de Cristos.
I fell in love with the kiva and vigas! They represent the Spirit of Santa Fe to me.
Honestly, I don't understand what some of the other reviewers were complaining about. This was a great rental, and though the building is older, we found it very clean and far nicer than your average condo. All linens were great (including the towels), there was original art in every room, and we loved the wood beams and kiva in the living room. It was quiet really all the time - I didn't hear any of the pipe noise, so either it's been repaired or the neighbors weren't around. I'd expected the property to be fully booked between Christmas and New Years, but it didn't seem like it because we barely heard or even saw anyone while we were there, just the occasional resident walking their dog. The condo has a super cute little backyard, and the town is an easy 20-minute walk away if you're so inclined. The reclining couches were fantastic after a long day skiing. Eve was also wonderfully responsive to both our questions and when there was a slight issue with the internet one morning. The heat came on frequently but warmed the place almost immediately, though I would recommend wearing wool socks or slippers while inside because the tile floors stay a bit chilly in the winter. My only suggestion for Eve would be to add a few more home-y touches to make it a bit more comfortable, little things like having firewood outside in the winter, along with Kleenex and a heated throw or two for the couch would have been divine! Overall, it was a really nice stay. The condo was a great size for our family of four (two adults, two teens) and didn't feel cramped, even after a week there together. Thank you, Eve!
It was a cute place to stay. It may only be a mile from the plaza, but it takes about ten minutes to get there by car. I was dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the bathroom. I don't think the shower was cleaned at all before our arrival. It also appeared very dingy like it hadn't been cleaned well in quite sometime. The towels were so mildewed and stinky that we had to go purchase new towels at Walmart to use during our stay. They give you a max that you can set the heat on so it stays very cold inside. Pack plenty of sweats and house shoes to wear while you stay or plan to buy firewood for the fireplace. The toilet was also broken during our stay. The condo is on the ground level. At times, it was extremely loud from the people above and the pipes. This condo is very cute and stylish and could have been a perfect stay if the things mentioned above are addressed.
The property is very spacious and has everything you need (e.g. Appliances, linens etc). It is very, very clean and has a tasteful decour. My only complaint is that the plumbing in the building is very loud (rattling pipes).
We have traveled a fair amount and this is one of the nicest condos we have stayed in.Very comfortable, close to everything. We really enjoyed our 2 week stay in Santa Fe
Location convenient to town. Again no shower for Master bedroom big problem for dressing for wedding. Owner very helpful. Nice place.
I would highly recommend this property. The only suggestion would be to install ceiling fans to help circulate air when A/C (or heat) is not necessary. Large patio area, great for morning coffee or evening cocktail.
