We had a great trip and enjoyed our holiday stay at the apartment. Thank you again. We left just before 8am yesterday morning and made our 11:15am flight with no trouble.
We had a lovely time.
thanks again and happy new year!
We sought out this apartment on Sq de Clignancourt to be close to friends who live on the other side of the park. Everything about this place is delightful. Read the previous reviews & believe them! All is true! Spacious & well equipped, close to everything you need. Buy baguettes from Cecile & Patric who operate the boulangerie on the opposite corner! Shop for food on Rue de Poteau! Don't miss one of the best fromageries in Paris, Quatrehomme! Ooo La La, the Morbier, the Gargonzola, the Brie! Have wine at Café Nord Sud across the street from Jules Joffrin metro stop! All of these are within a few short blocks of the apartment. One negative for rural folk (that's us!) is the 24 hour traffic noise on Rue Hermel, but that's city life! Just close the bedroom window at night. This cheerful apartment was our Parisian home for 4 weeks & I almost cried when it was time to go! Thanks to kind & helpful owners Teddy & Francoise.
We spent a month in this apartment in order to be close to family over Christmas and New Year. It was perfect in every respect: extremely well equipped, quiet, very comfortable bed. It's close to a wide range of eating places, as well as quality food shops and street markets. For short visits to Paris, this would be an ideal place to stay. Two metro lines are within easy reach and it's only a short ride to most of the main sights in the city. For our longer stay, it was exactly what we wanted. I can't recommend it highly enough!
Many thanks to the owners for making our stay enjoyable. The apartment was as it was described in the listing. It was clean, and everything was in working order. The kitchen had everything you need and more.
The owners were very friendly and gave us good information about the local area.
It was so easy getting around Paris from the apartment, there were a couple of metro stations nearby but also buses and taxis which great.
The local area had plenty of excellent little cafés and shops. I'd definitely recommend this property.
If you want to spend two nights or two months in Paris, this is the apartment. The owners were very helpful and have created the perfect spot to relax and unwind after exploring this great city. Two different subway lines within one block in either direction, make this a perfect location for accessing any part of the city. Dinner or a fresh baguette were never more than a five minute walk and yet the neighborhood was very quiet, with a lovely park across the street. The building and apartment were impeccable with every amenity you might need. Absolutely perfect.
Everything about this apartment was as advertised and as described by these reviews. It is cozy but large enough for two or three people. After just a few days it felt more like a home than a rental apartment. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable, and the views from the windows are charming, especially the front room window, a classic Parisian street scene with a patisserie down below, a small park off to one side, and a church up the street on the other side. In the morning, you can watch the city come alive as people hurry off to work. It’s a lively, interesting neighborhood with several grocery stores, shops, cafes and a few restaurants, as well as a variety of places to get good take-out food. Shopkeepers and waiters were, for the most part, friendly and helpful, including the cheerful couple who run the patisserie across the street. In the evening, it’s a nice walk up the hill to the Sacre Coeur area with its panoramic view of Paris and crowds of happy tourists, though in the area immediately around the apartment there were few tourists, making it seem like a “real” neighborhood. Teddy, the apartment owner, was prompt and clear in replying to emails, and Anais, who speaks perfect English, was there to let us in when we arrived. She gave us a detailed explanation of how everything works in the apartment and answered all of our questions. During our two-week stay, we had no problems and would gladly stay there again.
We couldn't have been happier with this lovely apartment. For the price I can't imagine a better place. The bed was very comfortable - I think more comfortable than my bed at home. The apartment seems bigger in person. The pictures don't really do it justice. There is also an updated flat screen TV (not the boxy TV shown in the picture). The shower had great water pressure and plenty of warm water. Another reviewer suggested turning the bench in the living room around to look out the window and it really does feel like you have a balcony looking onto your own little corner of Paris. The park right outside the building is great - we did the 7 minute workout there every morning. The patisserie across the street is wonderful and there were great suggestions from the owners about a couple of streets nearby with wonderful food shops of all sorts. And with 2 subway stops within a couple of blocks it is convenient to get anywhere. It is a bit far if you will be exploring all over Paris don't plan on always being able to come "home" in the afternoon and go back out. We ended up spending some long days out and about. For the price we really felt like we got a great value for money.
