About Raina and Brian Pratt

Hi, welcome! Our names are Raina and Brian Pratt and we have four children. We are the managers of Spruce Cottage; an apartment attached to a 1910 Bungalow in Somers, Montana. Brian and I both grew up in the Flathead Valley. We lived in Northern California for almost ten years but most recently moved back to the beautiful state of Montana and the quaint town of Somers to raise our family. We are excited to open it up to you and welcome you to the lovely village of Somers, we think you'll love it here!

Raina and Brian Pratt purchased this Apartment in 2008

Why Raina and Brian Pratt chose Somers

We are friends with, Ida and Maarten Fischer, the owners of this wonderful property. It includes the main house bungalow where we live full time and the Spruce cottage. While our friends are in the Netherlands we are the care takers of the property and the hosts of the Spruce cottage guests. We love not only the location but also all the original details of the old home. The fact that it has a cottage to share is a wonderful bonus! We are so glad to be in Somers and share this sweet spot with guests from all over the world.

What makes this Apartment unique

The studio apartment is small, but open and well laid out on the inside. It has a calm, peaceful feel to it, and I enjoy quiet moments spent there cleaning or fixing it up away from the hustle and bustle of our house with three young children. Apart from the coziness of the apartment itself, its location really does make it a hidden gem. Somers is a unique community worth exploring by foot or bike, and Lake access is just minutes away.

My husband, toddler and I stayed at the cottage for 4 nights. It was a perfect space for the three of us, not to mention pristine when we arrived! It's on the corner of a quiet street with a great view of the mountains. We were visiting our family that lives on the Flathead lake, which was less than a mile away from the cottage. When we arrived the owner greeted us and gave us information on the heater - there was also a binder available to peruse. Our daughter absolutely loved playing in the small fenced yard each day. The owner provided a pack-and-play and high chair too. We were able to visit the local grocery and eat breakfast at the cottage each morning. We'd totally stay at the cottage again and highly recommend it for anyone traveling with small children - the layout of the cottage is great!

This was the perfect spot for us. We lived in Somers, so it was a lovely homecoming. The cottage is super comfortable, well maintained. It was quiet and so nice to have it walking distance from everything Somers has to offer. We will make it our "go to" place whenever we come to visit our grandchildren.

Cute, clean and very peaceful. We walked to the public beach and all around town.

Nice quite spot. Was spending most time away with family, but the cottage was tidy and all in working order.
