Welcome to Alii Ocean Palms. Whether this is your first trip to Kona or your 100th, Alii Ocean Palms will be your favorite place to stay. The location is perfect for the adventuresome, honeymooners, or for a couples retreat just resting and relaxing poolside.
There is beach access directly across the street and only two tenths of a mile to Kahaluu snorkel beach (some of the best snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding and surfing on the island). Located just one half mile from Magic Sands beach and one mile from the Keauhou shopping center (grocery store, clothing shops, movie theaters, fine dining, banking, and post office). If you decide to walk, run, or ride a bike into Kona the experience will be full of visual entertainment, a variety of blooming scents, and only 4.5 miles away. Your biggest decision as you leave the driveway will be which direction to go on the infamous Alii Drive.
The home sleeps two. The master suite has an inviting and comfortable king size bed, flat screen TV and a rain forest type shower.
The gourmet kitchen with VanGaugh granite and Koa cabinets allowing you to prepare your meals with eye catching color and ease. The induction stove top will minimize your cooking time. The large kitchen sink has a rotating faucet that allows you to admire the ocean view no matter where you stand.
The home is one level with Travertine floors throughout. The pool is a few steps away from the covered lanai. Covered parking in the back of the house will provide you with shade after a day at the beach.
If you absolutely must do work, there is high speed wireless internet available, plug your iPod into the docking station, or sit back and watch the flat screen TV in the living room.
Other amenities include; washer/dryer, iron, pool side furniture, floating pool chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, and cooler.
Alii Ocean Palms is the perfect location for water enthusiasts, sunbathing, and relaxing fun without feeling you like you have to go somewhere else to find it.
For an additional fee the Ohana may be rented. The Ohana is a separate building with a king size bed, sitting area and bathroom. W68011477
The place has been fantastic. The kitchen and room are awesome. We really enjoyed the place, it is nicely located to everything we wanted to do. We really appreciated all of your efforts to make this a nice trip for us. It is our plan to return next year. Mahalo, DH and Kirstin
We had a wonderful time on the Big Island and the accommodations could not have been more perfect. From the gourmet kitchen, stone shower to the patio/pool area we felt completely spoiled. We also liked the proximity of the house to all the local activities in the area.
Robin could not have made us feel any more welcome and her advice was spot on for restaurants, activities etc. We will definitely be back in the not too distant future.

What a great place. Looks better in person then in the photos. Robin was great and made sure everything was perfect for us the whole trip. Pool was great for watching the sunsets. We will be returning soon.
The owner was very welcoming with a note and wine. The house is only one bedroom but what a room! The living/dining/kitchen area was big and roomy. The owner has thought of everything in the way of amenities and all in extraordinary good taste. My husband loved the kitchen (induction stove, two sinks, granite tops, and every other modern convenience imaginable) and it was well-stocked with cooking utensils and dishes. The double doors open out on the lanai and then the pool. Walkable to some of the best snorkeling on the island. And you don't need to go on a whale watch; you could see whales from the pool. We would love to come back! We wish our house were as nice as this.
My wife and I have traveled extensively and we have stayed at some fabulous places but this well appointed beach home really delivers its promise of "Location, Location, Location." We walked to the beach every morning to snorkel (all gear and creature comforts provided), we lounged on the deck and spotted whales playing by the shore, took short trips for groceries and great dining options (love that Da Poke Shoppe) and longer trips to every corner of the Big Island. We never return to any place we vacation but the great location, luxury accommodation, kind and helpful host and the sweet Kona locals have got us thinking about a return trip. Soon. Many thanks for making our celebratory adventure so memorable.
We were very disappointed with this property. So much so we moved to a hotel after one night. Problems: The "ocean view" was over the roof of a neighbor and through an assortment of power and telephone cables; there was no a/c although one, two or three fans were available in each room; the pool is completely visible by neighbors and passing pedestrians; the property is fronted by a major roadway which is busy (and noisy) all day and night; and, finally, the decore of this property is not pleasing. It looks like a decorators bad dream, with strange fixtures, furniture etc, e.g. there are no table and chair combinations that are "normal". Seating for a counter consists of stools which do not match the counter height The other eating arrangement consists of a tall table and matching too tall chairs. Trendy but not for us. I would not recommend this property at even one-half the posted price.
This property is a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect, just a couple of miles from Kona and right across the street from the ocean. The home is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The owner is awesome. She answered all my questions and is very kind. We would highly recommend this property.
