Both avid golfers and hikers. We have loved the relaxed environment of our home and community immensely. We love to be able to walk out our front door and walk to the Appalachian Trail.
Suzanne purchased this house in 2009

Us: four adults, four kids, looking for a spring break retreat off the beaten path but close to Asheville's offerings
The property: beautifully maintained, close proximity to the Appalachian Trail for hiking purposes, great indoor and outdoor space
The result: a great vacation filled with hiking, grilling, porch sitting, coffee/beer drinking, local city exploring, board game playing and lots of laughter.
We had a fabulous time in the mountains last week. It was so relaxing. The house had everything we needed and then some. The peacefulness of the setting helped us unwind and enjoy our spring break. We hiked and hiked and went into Asheville for some great BBQ and sight seeing. The owner was very responsive. The beds were super comfortable. We'll be back.
I loved the cabin we stayed at this October in Mars hill, NC
The location was beautiful and not far from Ashville, NC
I would definitely stay again
Our family (including our two ShihTzu dogs) gathered here for a week to celebrate a birthday and Independence Day. This property is amazing! We had plenty of space for everyone and the beds were extremely comfortable. Family meal preparation was a pleasure with the gas grill and the well-equipped kitchen. The beautiful surroundings are so peaceful. We even saw young deer while sitting on the deck. There were pretty much regular intermittent showers the whole week we were there, but we didn't mind as it only seemed to add to the peaceful ambience; plus it kept the temperatures very comfortable as compared to Florida. We would definitely recommend this lovely vacation home for a group getaway.
Our family of 7 + and 2 small pets spent a wonderful week over the Thanksgiving holiday at this beautiful home. When we arrived, everything was in pristine condition & just as described. I had been in touch with Suzanne, the owner, for a few months before booking and she was absolutely wonderful to work with, very accommodating & extremely helpful & prompt. The house was perfect for my husband & I, our 3 adult children & 2 spouses...plenty of room for everyone to have their own private space as well as accommodate all of us for meals & activities! We had a snowfall for Thanksgiving & it was beautiful! We would definitely recommend this property & look forward to a possible spring or summer visit!
We spent a long weekend at this house and had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and well maintained. The owners were very helpful and we appreciate them sharing their beautiful home with us. We hope to return again!
