Lake Oconee Lodge Rental Photos and Description

6 Bedrooms, Sleeps 14, Infinity Edge Pool, Hot Tub/spa, Max Dock, Fire Pit

Book now to enjoy the wonderful weather and amazing views at Lake Oconee. Swim in the beautiful blue infinity edge pool, sunbathe in one of the comfortable lounges in front of the pool, curl up in a cozy chair with a good book, take a walk around the property to enjoy the beatiful views and lush landscaping, or take a boat ride on the sparkling lake water!

This timber framed lakehouse currently has over 5,800 square feet of heated space and 10,000 square feet under roof. The home was 4 years in the planning/building process in order to ensure a wonderful openness and flow for families and/or business leaders to be able to make lifelong memories and enjoy time together. Construction was completed August of 2012. While it does have an open floor plan and many seating areas in which to visit, it also has private areas for rest and reflection. Beautifully perched above serene Lake Oconee, the house nestles into naturalized landscaping and has outdoor 'rooms'. The view is spectacular from dawn to dusk, whether you enjoy gazing off the back patio from your rocking chair, or sitting with a cup of coffee on the screened in back porch. There is a crystal clear infinity edge pool with a shallow wading area for adults to play with their toddlers and deep end for the good swimmers in the crowd. A heated spa is a great way to relax before turning in for the night. For those with a more active time in mind, a ping pong table seems to bring out the competitive side of people, while there is also fishing off the dock. The house is on a beautiful point lot, which provides spectacular views from every window. Here inside Reynolds Lake Oconee there is a world class golf community, which boasts 6 courses, 2 of which have hosted the PGA tour, and several 5 star restaurants as well as the nearby Ritz Carlton, a world class resort. Here is a trivia fact for you--did you know that country music artist Carrie Underwood had her wedding at the Ritz Carlton here on Lake Oconee?!

As you drive down the driveway and the house comes into view, you are greeted by the golden tones of the cedar and cypress house and the lush green of the naturalized landscaping. Rocks and stonework accent the yard and mark the paths around the house.

As you walk up to the front door, your eyes wander across the great room to the glistening infinity pool that blends into the lake beyond. The main floor has a spectacular masonry fire place with seating around it, a study behind the fireplace has a 55 inch hd tv screen that disappears into a cabinet with a very comfortable, sectional sofa. The spacious, fully equipped kitchen is designed to cook for a large number of guests as it has an island with a sink for prep work as well as the main kitchen sink, a dishwasher, two garbage disposals, a separate high capacity ice maker, and wine cooler. The large built-in refrigerator, six burner gas stove with a griddle and two ovens with a warming drawer make for a chef's dream. Kitchen utensils, plenty of glassware and dish ware make preparing for families a breeze. A cozy keeping room with a gas fireplace is right off the kitchen. It's a great place to warm up with a cup of coffee or hot tea in the morning. A pantry is directly off the kitchen which contains a second refrigerator and plenty of storage space and shelves for groceries to feed large families and their friends. A laundry room with a front loader washer and dryer is next to the pantry and a home office is also right down the hall for your convenience. Linens and towels are provided for your stay. The master bedroom is located just down the hall on the main floor. It has a spectacular view of the lake and was designed with a spa feel to it. Pebbles were placed around a free standing spa tub and also in the shower. A spacious master closet completes the master suite.

The basement bedroom is very serene and private with a king size bed. The bathroom for this suite has a very large shower with a built in marble seat for ease in showering. The basement has a family room with a ping pong table. On the east wing of the upper level, there are two bedrooms with a full bath. One of these bedrooms opens up onto a deck with a fabulous view of the pool, lake and dock below.

On the west wing of the upper level, the other bedroom also has a wonderful view of the lake. Its bathroom has carrerra marble throughout. As you walk out of this bedroom and turn right, you will walk into the family bunk room, which features four twin beds and is perfect for providing a large family with plenty of beds for its youngsters to bunk up together. The upstairs hall, open to the great room features a wondeful nook, perfect for children to play, and relaxing chairs overlooking the great room for you to curl up with a book or newspaper and relax with fabulous views of the lake.

The house is very well equipped with pool towels, towels, blankets, kitchen utensils, glass cookware, blender, food processor, coffee pot, tableware, etc.

There is a marina just a few hundred yards to the left of the lakehouse where boats/watercraft/kayaks can be rented. Other rental sites are in the area as well. There is a large tube available at the house and several rafts for the pool. The pool is an infinity-edge pool that can be heated (optional with additional fee) with built-in spa and a wonderful ledge, perfect for children to play or for you to relax in your lounge chair while still feeling the cool water.

This is an amazing house for family reunions, a multiple family vacation, off-site meetings, or corporate retreats and small weddings. The large farm table in the kitchen seats ten people and could be used for conferencing as well as dining. The large back stone patio can accommodate large numbers of people and there are two stone terraces with two propane grills and Big Green Egg smoker. A large lawn area lies directly next to the lake for gatherings and plenty of family fun.

Many events have already been held at this house and the comment we always get is how at home and comfortable people feel when they're here. This house was built for relaxation and to create great memories!

Family Vacation July 2016

  • 5 of 5

This how is outstanding. So excellent that my husband wants to keep this place a secret! We had a house full of family for the fourth of July. The large kitchen table made for excellent family dining! Everything in the house is full class. The pool is beautiful! Cindy is wonderful and responds immediately to anything you need or request. This is our second time to the Fallon home and we can't wait to go back!

Excellent Family Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

The home is rustic yet modern and so welcoming. From the view of the lake over the infinity pool the moment you enter the home - to the large farmhouse table for all to gather - this is a great place for families of all ages to meet, vacation and relax.

We had grandchildren from 2 months to 13 - all the way to my 91 year old mother. There was a space and a place for everyone - the kids especially loved the pool, the game room and the tv room. The men...they loved the library style tv room upstairs off the family room - and fishing every evening off the oversized dock!.

Big pantry - big kitchen - always a must. The kitchen is where we all tend to gather most.

The owners were very attentive and responsive.

Only suggestion - bring some extra towels if you group is like ours. Never seem to have enough.

And - if you are wine lovers like we are - you might want to bring some better wine glasses. A bit snobby perhaps...but not a big fan of drinking my wine out of a plastic glass - even if it does have a stem.

My mom called this - "camping millionaire-style." What a way to go!!!

Thanks again to Cindy Fallon and her husband for sharing their lovely home with us and making us feel so welcome. We will surely return!

Owner's Response: So glad that your family enjoyed our property and the area. We think there is something for all ages to enjoy! We have tried to make the house and amenities as comfortable as possible, but also with safety in mind at all times. For this reason, we have a policy of only allowing plastic drinking cups to be used in the pool deck area. We have provided plastic wine glasses only to encourage this policy. The plastic wine glasses are best due to possible breakage out on the pool deck. Since the pool is so close to the living areas, it is essential that we do everything we can to avoid accidents involving the potential of broken glass getting near the pool area. If one is dropped and broken, we want to keep any glass shards out of the pool and make sure everyone enjoys the water and is safe. We're sorry if this was an inconvenience for you. Thanks so much for choosing The Lodge @ Reynolds Lake Oconee as your vacation destination. We hope you will come back soon!

50th Anniversary Trip

  • 5 of 5

Just spent the most enjoyable week at the Fallon's home on Lake Oconee. It was a special week as we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with our family. There were 15 of us.....7 adults and 8 grandchildren from 16 to 5. This house has the look and feel of a Colorado lodge - very cozy yet extremely spacious. After a busy day, the design is such that everyone had their own quiet private space for relaxing. When coming together, we never lacked for plenty of space to play games, visit or just enjoy the spectacular scenery which fills every window. We all were quite entertained the entire week....a beautiful infinity pool looking as though it spills directly into beautiful Lake Oconee - which was another playground for us. If water logged after swimming, the pontoon boat and jet skis, the first floor of the house has more pong, media room and much more.

And, thank you Cindy for your help whenever we had any questions concerning our stay. You were very helpful with your suggestions for restaurants and such.

We made the most of every minute we were there. We now have such beautiful memories of a perfect week in a perfect place........WHAT A BLESSING!!!

Outstanding week!

  • 5 of 5

This is an amazing lakefront property with all the amenities for an outstanding first class family vacation. The owners were gracious and helpful. The infinity pool was beautiful. We rented a boat and docked at the house. The lake itself is pristine and not crowded. The home inspired the creative chefs in the family so we didn't eat out every night. Dinners in the area restaurants were so/so. At night we made smores and a great fire. The golf course is well maintained and challenging. Overall a fantastic property and we will definitely be back!! A memorable week.

Wow what a beautiful place! We selected this home for our small wedding and it was just perfect! We looked at about six homes, but I knew the minute I saw the view that this was the home for me. The lodge and outdoor areas are simply spectacular, with a view that changes almost every hour of the day. The multi-layers of outdoor living space and pool makes this home truly one of a kind.

The house is beautifully appointed with the highest quality furnishings and supplies, while everything about it truly feels like a home. Cindy was wonderfully accommodating. Having an event on sight, I had many more questions leading up to our stay than most vacationers would. Cindy was not only helpful from suggesting restaurants and marinas, she seemed to truly want her home to be part of our special memories and even helped with event ideas, such as placing small battery-operated tea candles all around the pool. Just beautiful!

I would highly recommend this home for a special getaway. There was not a single guest that was not amazed by the location and view! Thank you Cindy for sharing your spectacular "God's art." I cried when we closed the doors to go home.

Awesome Home!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Fallon's for opening your amazing home to us! The home was so beautiful and comfortable for everyone. I loved that it was decorated for Christmas with a tree, front doors and around the home and on the mantles! My brother visited from SC and he is handicap and it takes a while to do stairs and I didn't know it had an elevator until we got to the house and that was awesome for him! Every morning you could watch the sun rise over the lake and in the evenings you could sit on the porch and enjoy the view of the lake in the shade! We used the large wood fireplace and everyone enjoyed just sitting and reading or catching up. We were having such a good time we did't even watch TV. We got up in the morning and turned on the music and relaxed and played games, fished and even went skeet shooting not far from Reynolds Plantation. They truly have thought of everything in this home. We grilled out and enjoyed the game room and media room. The kids loved fishing off the dock! They caught more than the adults. The house sits right on the lake and from the infinity pool it looks likes the water flows into the lake. We enjoyed watching the wildlife (deer, birds) and relaxing!! This is a house you would see in Colorado or Alaska with its rustic wood beams, large windows and high ceilings but instead its in Georgia! I loved the kitchen! Double ovens, ice maker and extra sink in the island and gourmet stove! Two refrigerators really came in handy! The Fallon's were so sweet to make sure we had everything we needed! We will definitely look forward to visiting again when we can swim in the pool and get out on the lake! We will book this house again! We also loved the room off the kitchen with the gas fireplace! Very cozy and it seemed all the women gravitated to it in the mornings after breakfast. We had some family come visit during our stay a night or two and it was so roomy for everyone. We got out one afternoon and went shopping in downtown Greensboro and fit in a lunch and spa day at the Ritz Carlton which was less than 5 minutes away. All ages can stay at this home and they even had a crib in the room with four twin beds! I would highly recommend this property to rent. I could go on and on about what a wonderful home this was for us to rent! If your family is looking for a getaway that you don't have to leave and have fun, swim, fish, boating, watching movies, playing games and relaxing this house is perfect!!
